    E-Commerce For Village Information System Using Agile Methodology

    With the entry into the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0, the development of digitization of various aspects at the village level began. The level of use of mobile devices in the commercial transactions of society is now a massive number of users. It happens not only in large transactions but also in small transactions. With the community's high interest in the use of smartphone devices, this is a different opportunity to explore the potential of each village by helping the community, tiny and medium enterprises in conducting transactions, sales, and marketing online through the village government website. The village information system itself requires an e-commerce feature on its page to help small and medium enterprises in the area to sell products online through a simple page display. This research aims to design and develop new features of the village system that plays a role in the field of e-commerce with the Direct Message transaction method. The system development methodology used is Agile with Scrum as a framework. The Agile Model is a short-term development model that requires rapid adaptation and development to changes in any form. This e-commerce feature is for local communities, especially Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, so their products' marketing reach is even more outstanding while being recorded in the village system

    The implementation of virtual home laboratories to improve students psychomotor abilities

    Psychomotor relates to learning outcomes that are achieved through skills as a result of knowledge competence. Learning that still uses the demonstration method and has not optimized learning activities in the laboratory. This study aims to determine how implementing a virtual home learning laboratory improves students' psychomotor abilities. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample used in this study was 46 respondents from the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Department at Senior High School 8 Purworejo, Indonesia. The research sample consisted of two classes: the control and experimental classes. The instruments used in this study were learning implementation sheets, psychomotor observation sheets, student response questionnaires, and students' psychomotor ability test instruments. The data analysis technique in this research is quantitative, and the t-test. The analysis of test data using the N-gain test obtained 0.75 for the experimental class with high category and 0.29 for the control class with low category results. The statistical analysis results of the independent sample t-test show that laboratory implementation affects the psychomotor abilities of students

    The Use of Massive Endoprostheses for the Treatment of Bone Metastases

    Purpose. We report a series of 58 patients with metastatic bone disease treated with resection and endoprosthetic reconstruction over a five-year period at our institution. Introduction. The recent advances in adjuvant and neoadjuvant therapy in cancer treatment have resulted in improved prognosis of patients with bone metastases. Most patients who have either an actual or impending pathological fracture should have operative stabilisation or reconstruction. Endoprosthetic reconstructions are indicated in patients with extensive bone loss, failed conventional reconstructions, and selected isolated metastases. Methods and Results. We identified all patients who were diagnosed with metastatic disease to bone between 1999 and 2003. One hundred and seventy-one patients were diagnosed with bone metastases. Metastatic breast and renal cancer accounted for 84 lesions (49%). Fifty-eight patients with isolated bone metastasis to the appendicular skeleton had an endoprosthetic reconstruction. There were 28 males and 30 females. Twelve patients had an endoprosthesis in the upper extremity and 46 patients had an endoprosthesis in the lower extremity. The mean age at presentation was 62 years (24 to 88). At the time of writing, 19 patients are still alive, 34 patients have died, and 5 have been lost to follow up. Patients were followed up and evaluated using the musculoskeletal society tumour score (MSTS) and the Toronto extremity salvage score (TESS). The mean MSTS was 73% (57% to 90%) and TESS was 71% (46% to 95%). Mean follow-up was 48.2 months (range 27 to 82 months) and patients died of disease at a mean of 22 months (2 to 51 months) from surgery. Complications included 5 superficial wound infections, 1 aseptic loosening, 4 dislocations, 1 subluxation, and 1 case, where the tibial component of a prosthesis rotated requiring open repositioning. Conclusions. We conclude that endoprosthetic replacement for the treatment of isolated bone metastases is a reliable method of limb reconstruction in selected cases. It is associated with low complication and failure rates in our series, and achieves the aims of restoring function, allowing early weight bearing and alleviating pain

    Breakdown of superfluidity of an atom laser past an obstacle

    The 1D flow of a continuous beam of Bose-Einstein condensed atoms in the presence of an obstacle is studied as a function of the beam velocity and of the type of perturbing potential (representing the interaction of the obstacle with the atoms of the beam). We identify the relevant regimes: stationary/time-dependent and superfluid/dissipative; the absence of drag is used as a criterion for superfluidity. There exists a critical velocity below which the flow is superfluid. For attractive obstacles, we show that this critical velocity can reach the value predicted by Landau's approach. For penetrable obstacles, it is shown that superfluidity is recovered at large beam velocity. Finally, enormous differences in drag occur when switching from repulsive to attractive potential.Comment: 15 pages, 6 figure

    Mechanical properties characterization of Ti6Al4V for artificial hip joint materials prepared by investment casting

    The Investment Casting (IC) process is a type of casting that can produce the suitable shape and size of components by minimizing porosity and defects. However, research on ICs for the manufacture of artificial hip joints made from Ti6Al4V is still lacking. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the mechanical properties of an artificial hip joint made from Ti6Al4V casted using the investment casting method. The stages of the investment casting process used in this research are wax injection, ejection of wax pattern, tree assembly, slurry coating, final sand mould, dewaxing, preheating, pouring, and final product. The characterization of IC products was carried out by tensile test, hardness test, and impact test. The yield strength, Ultimate Tensile Strength, Elongation (%), Hardness (HRC) and Impact Strength obtained in this study were 636 MPa, 687 MPa, 17%, 29 HRC, and 5.3 J, respectively. The lower oxygen content in Ti Alloy after IC resulted in a decrease in yield strength, ultimate tensile strength, hardness, and impact energy. However, the low oxygen content in Ti Alloy after IC resulted in increased ductility (% elongation)
