    An Improved Optimization Model of Internet Charging Scheme in Multi Service Networks

    This article will analyze new improved charging scheme with base price, quality premium and QoS networks involved. Sain and Herpers [5] already attempted to obtain revenue maximization by creating charging scheme of internet. The plan is attempted to solve multi service networks scheme as an optimization model to obtain revenue maximization using our improved model based on Byun and Chatterjee [2] and Sain and Herpers [5]. The results show that improved model can be solved optimally using optimization tool LINGO to achieve better revenue maximization. Better results are obtained in all cases rather than in [5]. The advantage of our new model is that ISP also can set up their base price and quality premium based on ISP preferences. For some cases for getting revenue maximization, we do not offer one service and just utilize some of the services

    Potentiality of Using Spreading Sargassum Species From Indonesia as an Interesting Source of Antibacterial and Radical Scavenging Compounds: a Preliminary Study

    As an archipelagic country with 95,181 km long coastline, Indonesia has great potential as the producer of seaweeds. The diverse phyla of marine macroalgae (red, brown and green seaweeds) are known to produce molecules which are attractive for diverse industries. Applications of algal products range from simple biomass production for food, feed and fuels to valuable products such as sugar polymers, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, pigments, and food supplements. Seaweeds also have the potential to be used as a source of new bioactive for human, animal or plant health, as well as a source of new synthons and biocatalysts in sustainable chemistry (Bourgougnon and Stiger-Pouvreau, 2011). In this paper, among species of economic value we focus on brown seaweeds belonging to family Sargassaceae and genus Sargassum spreading along Indonesian coasts. Members of this genus are especially abundant in tropical and subtropical regions (Zemke-White and Ohno, 1999). The purpose of this study is to analyze the antibacterial and antioxidant activity of three species of Sargassum, i.e. S. echinocarpum, S. duplicatum and S. polycystum. Both polar and non-polar extracts have been prepared from those three species. In vitro antibacterial activities of extracts were evaluated against Gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Gram-negative bacteria Escherichia coli. Results indicated all the three species tested showed an antibacterial activity. The most effective antibacterial activity against S. aerous was from S. echinocarpum with ethil asetat, inhibition zone 1.13 ± 0.25 mm; S. duplicatum with N-Hexane was most effective against E. coli, 1.20 ± 0.28 mm

    Along with the development and innovation of technology information at the international level, one of the transactions payment is from offline to online (cashless payment).  The utilization of technology cashless platforms mobile payment, Indonesia, India, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore still shows less than 4%. In Indonesia, there are currently 21 companies (providers) that are engaged in mobile payment with a variety of services provided. Millennial, Generation-Z, tends to have a virtual transaction space that has attracted their interest in using social media as a technology with cashless payments of We-Chat pay. At the end of the activity, a post-test was held relates to the socialization of the We-Chat Pay as one of Digital Payment Innovation. The posttest was given to find out the enthusiasm of the participants. The post-test obtained an overview of the participants’ interest in the use of We-Chat pay cashless payments, namely 34% as an option for shopping; 30% as an option to eat together; 19% as an option for traveling; and 17% as an option for Nobar (watching together). Therefore, it does not rule out the possibility of the digital payment technology apply in Jakarta and Bekasi, Indonesia to adopt the innovation of WeChat Pay

    The comparison of internet pricing scheme in multi link bottleneck multi service network

    In this research we set up pricing scheme of multilink internet bottleneck for multi-service network by giving the modified models and the solution.This model is based on the local server data in Palembang.Internet Service Provider (ISP) requires the appropriate pricing schemes in order to maximize revenue and provide quality services that can satisfy the Internet users.The model established by setting the base price (α) as constants and the premium quality of service (β) as variables and constants.Then the model will be solved using Program LINGO 13.0 to obtain the optimal solution.From the results obtained shows the optimal solution that ISP can use the models to generate maximum revenue and gives options according to the user needs in accordance with the goal of ISP.The optimal solution results compared to previous work show that the larger dimension of the problem, the goals can also change according to the needs. From LINGO 13.0, the solution for four services and 3 links offered were maximized when we set up the base price (α) as constants and the premium quality of service (β) as constants for Ii = Ii-1. So ISP can use the modification scheme to achieve its goals.The realistic case to be solved by LINGO 13.0 is limited to have only four services and three links

    PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN KONSENTRASI ENZIM SELULASE DAN BATU APUNG PADA PROSES BIOPOLISHING KAIN KAPAS

    Tren fashion, khususnya proses pelusuhan pakaian jadi banyak dikerjakan untuk menghasilkan efek khusus agar memiliki kenampakan berbeda setelah pencucian. Proses pencucian dapat dikerjakan diantaranya  biopolishing, stone wash dan acid wash/ice wash, hal ini dilakukan untuk memodifikasi produk akhir  memberikan tampilan berbeda dan meningkatkan kemampuan kenyamanan pakaian. Proses biopolishing adalah proses penyempurnaan menggunakan enzim, bertujuan memperbaiki kenampakan, pegangan kain, sifat permukaan  lebih halus, bebas pilling, dan memiliki daya serap tinggi. Penambahkan batu apung memperluas tingkat pelusuhan dibagian-bagian tertentu, dan memberikan tampilan berbeda.Percobaan menggunakan mesin washing skala laboratorium  dengan variasi konsentrasi enzim  1%, 2% , dan batu apung 1/3  dan 1/2  suhu 60oC selama 30 menit pada mesin washing skala laboratorium. Pengujian meliputi pilling kain, pengurangan berat (SNI ISO 7211-6), ketuaan warna (SNI ISO 105-J03), ketahanan jebol cara diagfrgma (SNI ISO 13938-1), dan ketahanan gosok metode  martindale (SNI ISO 12947-1). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi penggunaan konsentrasi enzim dan batu apung, grade pilling semakin besar, pengurangan berat makin besar, tingkat ketuaan warna makin rendah, kekuatan jebol makin turun, dan semakin besar pengurangan tebal dan berat pada uji tahan gosok dengan metode martindale. Kondisi optimum diperoleh pada konsentrasi enzim 1 % dengan penggunaan batu apung 1/2  volume mesin washing skala laboratorium
