    The aims of this study are to examine and prove empirically the role of uncertainty business environment to organizational culture of Islamic Commercial Banks (Bank Umum Syariah/BUS). This research is an explanative study which examines and explains the research variables in cross-sectional manner. Quantitative approach was used as the main analytical method and supported by qualitative approach. The population of the study was all BUS branch offices located in East Java, as many as 34 branch offices. All BUS branch offices in East Java were used as sample; thus, this study is a census study and analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS) with SmartPLS software.The results of the study indicate that: The business environment provide a significant impact on improvinga stronger organizationalculture

    Data merupakan hal penting diera sekarang begitu  juga dengan metode data mining yang dapat mengekstraksi data menghasilkan informasi. Klastering  1 dari 5 peran data mining yang berfungsi untuk mengelompokkan data berdasarkan tingkat kemiripan dan jarak minimum. Algoritma K-Means  termasuk algoritma yang populer banyak digunakan diberbagai bidang seperti bidang pendidikan, kesehatan, sosial, biologi, ilmu komputer. Seringkali metode K-Means dikombinasikan dengan metode optimasi seperti algoritma genetika untuk mengatasi permasalah pada K-Means yaitu sensitif dalam penentuan centroid awal .Namun metode algoritma genetika memiliki kekurangan yaitu mengalamai konvergen prematur sehingga hasil dari algorima genetika terjebak pada optimum lokal. Penelitian ini mengkombinasikan dynamic artificial cromosomes genetic algorithm dengan K-Means dalam menentukan nilai centroid awal pada k-means. Hasil eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa metode DAC GA + K-Means lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan K-Means dan GA + K-Means pada 2 dataset yang diuji dengan optimal nilai klaster sebanyak 2 dan 1 dataset sebanyak 3 klaster. Metode tersebut perolehan nilai DBI sebesar 0.138, 0.279 serta 0.382, nilai Sum Square Error sebesar 92.56, 332,39 dan 1280.68 serta nilai fitness yang tebentuk adalah 7.12, 3.57 dan 2.13

    ABSTRACTThe Sustainable Food House Area (in Indonesian it is called KRPL) is one of the programs of the central government, as an effort to use yard land. The KRPL program has been implemented in Pasuruan City since 2012. To date, 64 KRPL groups have been formed. The purpose of this study was to analyze as well as test the hypothesis of the effect of quality of work life and empowerment on the motivation and satisfaction of members of the KRPL group in Pasuruan City. The population in this study were all members of the KRPL group in Pasuruan City of 1,030 people. The sampling method used the Slovin formula, resulting in 92 respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire with a Likert scale of 1-5. The method of analysis in this research is using PLS-SEM which is based on variance. The software used in this research is SmartPLS version 3.0. The results of the study concluded that: (1) Quality of work life can increase the motivation of the KRPL group members; (2) Empowerment is able to increase the motivation of the KRPL group members; (3) Quality of work life is not able to increase job satisfaction of the KRPL group members; (4) Empowerment is not able to increase job satisfaction of the KRPL group members; (5) Motivation is able to increase job satisfaction of the KRPL group members; (6) Quality of work life is able to increase job satisfaction which is mediated by the motivation of the KRPL group members; and (7) Empowerment is able to increase job satisfaction which is mediated by the motivation of the KRPL group members.Keywords: KRPL group, quality of work life, empowerment, motivation, job satisfaction  ABSTRAKKawasan Rumah Pangan Lestari (KRPL) merupakan salah satu program dari pemerintah pusat, sebagai upaya pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan. Program KRPL dilaksanakan di Kota Pasuruan sejak tahun 2012. Hingga saat ini, telah terbentuk 64 kelompok KRPL. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis sekaligus menguji hipotesis pengaruh quality of work life dan pemberdayaan terhadap motivasi dan kepuasan anggota kelompok KRPL Kota Pasuruan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh anggota kelompok KRPL Kota Pasuruan sebesar 1.030 orang. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan rumus slovin, menghasilkan responden sejumlah 92 orang. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala likert 1-5. Metode analisis penelitian ini menggunakan PLS-SEM yang berbasis variance. Software yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah SmartPLS versi 3.0. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa: (1) Quality of work life mampu meningkatkan motivasi anggota kelompok KRPL; (2) Pemberdayaan mampu meningkatkan motivasi anggota kelompok KRPL; (3) Quality of work life tidak mampu meningkatkan kepuasan kerja anggota kelompok KRPL; (4) Pemberdayaan tidak mampu meningkatkan kepuasan kerja anggota kelompok KRPL; (5) Motivasi mampu meningkatkan kepuasan kerja anggota kelompok KRPL; (6) Quality of work life mampu meningkatkan kepuasan kerja yang dimediasi motivasi anggota kelompok KRPL; dan (7) Pemberdayaan mampu meningkatkan kepuasan kerja yang dimediasi motivasi anggota kelompok KRPL.Kata Kunci: kelompok KRPL, quality of work life, pemberdayaan, motivasi, kepuasan kerja

    ANALISIS GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN DAN KOMUNIKASI TERHADAP PRESTASI KERJA PEGAWAI BADAN PENGELOLA KEUANGAN DAN ASET DAERAH KABUPATEN KONAWE

    Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan dan komunikasi secara simultan, parsial dan faktor dominan terhadap prestasi kerja Pegawai Badan Pengelola Keuangan dan Aset Daerah Kabupaten Konawe. Penelitian menggunakan metode pendekatan survey yang bersifat ekplanatory. Populasi dan sampel penelitian ini adalah pegawai badan pengelola keuangan dan aset daerah kabupaten konawe sejumlah 38 pegawai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan dan komunikasi secara simultan dan parsial berpengaruh terhadap prestasi kerja Pegawai Badan Pengelola Keuangan dan Aset Daerah Kabupaten Konawe dalam penelitian ini dapat terbukti atau dapat diterima. Nilai koefisien beta yang distandarisasi variabel komunikasi lebih besar dibandingkan dengan nilai koefisien beta yang distandarisasi variabel gaya kepemimpinan. Hasil tersebut bermakna komunikasi merupakan variabel yang berpengaruh paling dominan terhadap prestasi kerja. Kata kunci: Gaya Kepemimpinan, Komunikasi, Prestasi Kerja Abstract: This study aims to analyze the influence on leadership style and communication simultaneously, partially, and the dominant factors of work performance of employees of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency of Konawe Regency. This research uses an explanatory survey approach. The population and sample of this study were 38 employees of the financial agency and regional assets of the Konawe district. The results showed that the leadership and communication styles simultaneously and partially affected the work performance of the employees of the Konawe Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency in this study, which could be proven or acceptable. The beta coefficient value standardized by the communication variable is greater than the beta coefficient value standardized by the leadership style variable.     PENGARUH DIMENSI TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN HOTEL ZALMA DAN HOTEL ZAVIER DI KOTA BATU

Berdasarkan tujuan penelitian yang telah ditetapkan, maka jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian asosiatif kausal yaitu hubungan yang bersifat sebab akibat. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian adalah sejumlah 50 karyawan/responden.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Fokus pada pelanggan berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kinerja karyawan; (2) Obsesi terhadap kualitas berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan; (3) Pendekatan ilmiah berperanan penting terhadap kinerja karyawan; (4) Komitmen jangka panjang berpengaruh berlawanan terhadap kinerja karyawan; (5) Kerjasama tim berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan; (6) Perbaikan sistem berkesinambungan kurang berpengaruh dan bersifat berlawanan terhadap kinerja karyawan; (7) Pendidikan dan pelatihan kurang berpengaruh dan berlawanan terhadap kinerja karyawan; (8) Kebebasan terkendali berpengaruh kuat terhadap kinerja karyawan; (9) Kesatuan tujuan berpenegaruh rendah dan bersifat berlawanan terhadap kinerja karyawan; (10) Keterlibatan dan pemberdayaan karyawan berpengaruh besar terhadap kinerja karyawan di hotel Zalma dan hotel Zavier . Kata Kunci :  Total Quality Management (TQM), Kinerja Karyawan Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of Total Quality Management (TQM) on the performance of Hotel Zalma and Zavier Hotel employees in Batu City. Based on the research objectives that have been determined, the type of this research is causal associative research, namely relationships that are causal. So the number of samples in the study were 50 employees / respondents.The results of this study indicated that: (1) Focus on customers has an effect on improving employee performance; (2) An obsession with quality affects employee performance; (3) The scientific approach plays an important role in employee performance; (4) Long-term commitment has an adverse effect on employee performance; (5) Team collaboration influences employee performance; (6) Continuous system improvement is less influential and is opposite to employee performance; (7) Education and training are less influential and contrary to employee performance; (8) Controlled freedom has a strong influence on employee performance; (9) Unity of purpose has a low influence and is opposite to employee performance; (10) Employee involvement and empowerment have a big influence on employee performance in hotel Zalma dan hotel Zavier .Keywords: Total Quality Management (TQM), Employee Performance

    Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Dampak Pengembangan SDM dan Kepribadian Terhadap Kompetensi dan Kinerja (Studi Pada Pegawai Dinas Lingkungan Hidup, Kebersihan dan Pertamanan Kota Pasuruan). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai Dinas Lingkungan Hidup, Kebersihan dan Pertamanan Kota Pasuruan yang berjumlah 122 orang. Metode yang digunakan untuk menentukan jumlah sampel adalah menggunakan rumus Slovin, yaitu sebesar 93 responden. Alat analisis untuk model penelitian adalah Structural Equation Model (SEM) yang mampu melakukan analisa secara menyeluruh dalam sebuah analisa tunggal. SEM ada dua pendekatan, yaitu SEM  berbasis covarians dan SEM berbasis varians atau yang disebut juga Partial Least Square (PLS) atau SEM PLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pengembangan SDM berperan dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pegawai. Kepribadian berperan dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pegawai. Pengembangan SDM berperan dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai. Kepribadian tidak mampu meningkatkan kinerja pegawai. Kompetensi berperan dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai. Pengembangan SDM berperan dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai melalui kompetensi. Kepribadian berperan dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai melalui kompetensi.Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of Human Resources and  ersonality Development on Competence and Performance (Studies on Employees of the Environmental, Cleanliness and Gardening Service of Pasuruan City). The population in this study were all 122 employees of the Pasuruan City Environment, Cleanliness and Gardening Service. The method used to determine the number of samples is using the Slovin formula, which is equal to 93 respondents. The analytical tool for the research model is the Structural Equation Model (SEM) which is able to perform a comprehensive analysis in a single analysis. SEM has two approaches, namely covariance-based SEM and variance-based SEM or what is also called Partial Least Square (PLS) or PLS SEM. The results showed that HR development plays a role in increasing employee competence. Personality plays a role in increasing employee competence. HR development plays a role in improving employee performance. Personality is not able to improve employee performance. Competence plays a role in improving employee performance.     DESIGNING A PYTHON BASED TEXT PRE-PROCESSING APPLICATION FOR TEXT CLASSIFICATION

    The first step that is always passed by documents in natural language processing is pre-processing text. These steps are needed for transferring text from human language to machine-readable format for further processing. However, not many special applications have been found that function as text pre-processing. This has led to any research on natural language processing having to create its own program code for the pre-processing text phase. The main focus of this research is to create an integrated text pre-processing application that can be accessed by any researcher who needs it. Several issues discussed in this study include the design, implementation, testing and integration of each text pre-processing feature. Text preprocessing which is integrated in this research includes case folding, tokenizing, and feature selection. The tools used in this research are the NLTK library of python and Django framework. The design of the text pre-processing application can be made using the waterfall method. For the application stage, the utilization of the NLTK Library can be applied precisely and systematically. This library also facilitates the implementation phase because of the large number of NLP classes that can be directly applied

    Customer Segmentation with RFM Model using Fuzzy C-Means and Genetic Programming

    One of the strategies a company uses to retain its customers is Customer Relationship Management (CRM). CRM manages interactions and supports business strategies to build mutually beneficial relationships between companies and customers. The utilization of information technology, such as data mining used to manage the data, is critical in order to be able to find out patterns made by customers when processing transactions. Clustering techniques are possible in data mining to find out the patterns generated from customer transaction data. Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) is one of the best-known and most widely used fuzzy grouping methods. The iteration process is carried out to determine which data is in the right cluster based on the objective function. The local minimum is the condition where the resulting value is not the lowest value from the solution set. This research aims to solve the minimum local problem in the FCM algorithm using Genetic Programming (GP), which is one of the evolution-based algorithms to produce better data clusters. The result of the research is to compare the application of fuzzy c-means (FCM) and genetic programming fuzzy c-means (GP-FCM) for customer segmentation applied to the Cahaya Estetika clinic dataset. The test results of the GP-FCM yielded an objective function of 20.3091, while for the FCM algorithm, it was 32.44741. Furthermore, evaluating cluster validity using Partition Coefficient (PC), Classification Entropy (CE), and Silhouette Index proves that the results of cluster quality from gp-fcm are more optimal than fcm. The results of this study indicate that the application of genetic programming in the fuzzy c-means algorithm produces more optimal cluster quality than the fuzzy c-means algorithm

    On the Role of Acoustical Improvement and Surface Morphology of Seashell Composite Panel for Interior Applications in Buildings

    This manuscript focuses on the acoustical behaviors and surface morphology of seashell waste filler reinforced polyester (SFRP) coverings Anadara granosa Linn, Perna viridis Linn, and Placuna placenta Linn and applications in buildings. Their acoustical performances were observed using an impedance tube using a technique with two and four microphones based on ASTM E1050-98 and ASTM E2611-09. The improvements of acoustical performance were conducted by a coupled resonator inclusion with addition of a fibrous dacron layer and back cavity. The experimental results showed that the resonators and back cavity on the material structure were able to shift the absorption ability at low frequency. The promising wide broadband frequencies performance occurred when the 15 mm Placuna placenta FRP treated with front-tailed cavity without any additional fibrous layer and air gap started from 0.2 at 2.0 kHz. The combination of resonators and fibrous layer on the material structure was able to stabilize the sound transmission loss (STL) in 52–56 dB at a high frequency. On the observation of the simple surface morphology material, it was found that Placuna placenta Linn had the highest damping performances due to the smallest pores and the most carbon compound compared to the others. Therefore, this finding is very useful for building applications
