    Fuzzy Expert System for Tropical Infectious Disease by Certainty Factor

    Communication between doctor and patient play an important role in determining the diagnosis of the illness suffered by the patient. Consultation time constraints led to insufficient information obtained to produce a diagnosis. This limitation is overcome by developing an expert system using fuzzy logic to represent the vagueness of symptoms experienced by patients and the certainty factor represents a relationship between the symptoms and disease. Fuzzy logic method begins with the acquisition of knowledge to produce the facts and rules, implication process, composition and defuzzification. The result of defuzzification used in the calculation of sequential and combined certainty factor which represent the belief percentage of diseases diagnosis that suffered by the patient. The results of the expert diagnosis with expert system for the given cases indicates the system, has the similarity diagnosis with the expert at 93.99%

    Purpose: This study aims to describe the application of green tourism at a 5-star hotel located in Jimbaran, Bali, in creating an environmentally friendly accommodation.Research methods: This is a type of qualitative research. The approach method used in this research is descriptive analysis.Results and discussion: Generally, the implementation of green tourism standards at the hotel has implemented environmentally friendly practices but in are several obstacles in its implementation.Implication: The obstacles the hotel needs to overcome are doing socialization-training activities, building commitment, forming a green team, and implementing a green tourism marketing strategyTujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan green tourism di sebuah hotel bintang yang berloaksi di Jimbaran, Bali, dalam menciptakan akomodasi yang ramah lingkungan. Metode penelitian: Ini adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analisis. Hasil dan pembahasan: Secara umum penerapan standar green tourism di hotel ini telah menerapkan praktik ramah lingkungan namun dalam penerapannya terdapat beberapa kendala. Implikasi: Kendala yang perlu diatasi oleh hotel ini adalah dengan kegiatan sosialisasi-pelatihan, membangun komitmen, membentuk tim hijau dan menerapkan strategi pemasaran pariwisata hijau

    Ekstraksi fitur merupakan proses untuk mencari nilai-nilai fitur yang terkandung dalam dokumen untuk proses text mining. Ekstraksi fitur menjadi bagian yang sangat penting dalam pengolahan dokumen pada mesin pencari karena sangat menentukan keberhasilan proses text mining. Salah satu metode ekstraksi fitur yang banyak digunakan dan populer adalah TF-IDF. Pada penelitian ini, metode TF-IDF telah diimplementasikan dengan membuat aplikasi menggunakan perangkat lunak Matlab. Dokumen untuk aplikasi diperoleh melalui media digital Detikcom dan disimpan dalam bentuk file teks. Proses pengolahan dokumen melibatkan case folding, tokenization, filtering, stemming dan ekstraksi fitur. Hasil ekstraksi fitur berupa matriks yang berisi urutan kata-kata unik dari seluruh dokumen dan nilai-nilai fitur TF-IDF dari setiap kata pada seluruh dokume

    Weft Computation of Endek Weaving

    Endek is a textile produces in Bali with a single ikat technique, specifically weft ikat. Weft ikat means that the pattern is created or drawn on the weft threads before ikat or tying process. The weft threads are transferred into a frame; a frame consists of tens to hundreds of bundles or called traditionally as bulih. Drawing a pattern on a frame requires special expertise as the pattern maker has to translate a two-dimensional pattern into a shape that is distorted on the wide side. Indirectly, this special requirement confines the pattern maker as they have to visualize a distortion shape to be able to draw in the frame. To provide easiness in design exploration, providing various templates and multiplier to automatically distort the template are substantial. Therefore, understanding the manual process on site is important before simulating the formula of weft computation including are templates and multiplier. With this computation, the pattern makers or anyone who has an enthusiast in designing Endek patterns may involve in the design process
