    FOSTERING OR HINDERING CREATIVITY AT WORK? MODERATING ROLE OF PROACTIVE PERSONALITY TOWARD SUPPORT AND MEANINGFULNESS

    This study aims to investigate the main effects and moderating role of proactive personality on the influence of perceived organizational support and meaning of work on creativity. Data was collected from 155 professionals and knowledge workers in information technology companies with non-probability sampling using snowball technique. This study uses hierarchical regression analysis with SPSS 22 software to test hypotheses. Results revealed that perceived organizational support and meaning of work have significant positive effect on employee creativity. Moderating effect of proactive personality has successfully amplified meaning of work on creativity. An interesting and unexpected finding is that proactive personality moderate significant negative effect of perceived organizational support on creativity. That is, high level of proactivity actually weakens relationship between perceived organizational support and creativity. The finding extends creativity literature related to social exchange theory.     Performance appraisal is acknowledged as one of the most important human resource practices. A performance appraisal system is a critically needed tool for effective human resource management if it is done systematically and effectively. This research examined whether performance appraisal influences employee motivation and employee productivity in Tribunnews.com-Solo. This research was conducted in Solo and the samples of this research were 50 employees of Tribunnews.com-Solo. This research was conducted in the quantitative method by using questionnaires for collecting the data. The data were analyzed with a linear regression test and normality test by using SPSS 25. The results of this research shows that performance appraisal has positive influences on the employee’s motivation and productivity

    THE INFLUENCE OF CHALLENGE STRESSORS AND JOB DEMAND ON CREATIVITY OF ONLINE RIDE-HAILING DRIVERS: MEDIATING ROLE OF WORK ENGAGEMENT

    This research intends to ascertain the impact of work engagement as mediatior that affect relationships between challenge stressors and job demand toward employee creativity. The sample size of 120 respondents in this quantitative study were online ride-hailing drivers from Go-Jek, Grab, Shopee-Food, and Maxim who were located across some major cities and regions in Indonesian. Purposive sampling is used to collect the required data for analysis, and Google Forms are used to distribute surveys and questionnaire in online fashion. The result shows that challenge stressors has a positive and significant influence on creativity and work engagement, as well as the impact of job demand on creativity and especially for work engagement is not significant, then mediation role of work engagement did not confirm this relationship. Moreover, work engagement mediates the relationship of challenge stressors toward creativity

    The objective of this research is to find out the effect of role ambiguity, role conflict, role overload,  and work-family conflict on emotional satisfaction, the effect of emotional satisfaction on service quality, and gender moderation on the effect of emotional satisfaction on service quality. This research was conducted in Dr. Moewardi General Hospital. The research design used in was survey research. The population of this research was all nurses of Dr. Moewardi General Hospital. The sample consisted of 106 nurses taken using purposive sampling technique. The independent variables were role ambiguity, role conflict, role overload, work-family conflict, and emotional satisfaction. The dependent variables were service quality and emotional satisfaction, while gender was a moderating variable. Methods of analyzing data used in this research were multiple regression, simple regression, and subgroup analysis before which the instrument tests were conducted including validity and reliability tests. A multiple regression examined the effect of role ambiguity, role conflict, role overload, and work-family conflict on emotional satisfaction. Simple regression examined the effect of emotional satisfaction on service quality and subgroup analysis examined the moderation of gender on the effect of emotional satisfaction on the service quality. The result of this research showed that: (1) Role ambiguity, role overload, and work-family conflict affected the emotional satisfaction significantly and negatively while the role conflict did not affect significantly the emotional satisfaction, (2) The emotional satisfaction affected positively the service quality, (3) Gender did not moderate significantly the effect of emotional satisfaction on service quality

    Desa Caturharjo, Pandak, Bantul, D.I.Yogyakarta merupakan desa yang memiliki banyak potensi unggulan di bidang pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat, pelestarian lingkungan, dan pariwisata berbasis kearifan lokal desa. Potensi desa yang menonjol diantaranya banyak warga desa yang bekerja di sektor pertanian. Hal ini mendorong kemandirian ekonomi warga. Lalu perangkat desa yang memiliki program 4.000 jogangan atau lubang dan 77 rumah kumpul sampah di tiap RT untuk meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan yang bersih dan sebagai upaya melestarikan tradisi leluhur dalam mengelola sampah. Dan manfaat geografis yang dimiliki desa seperti area persawahan yang asri, puncak Kedung Laten, usaha tanaman obat, ragam kesenian, dan beberapa sumber mata air yang indah. Namun sejak pandemi Covid-19 melanda, banyak potensi tersebut mulai surut dan kehilangan semangat untuk pulih kembali disebabkan oleh turunnya permintaan pasar dan pembatasan interaksi massal secara tatap muka. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan media promosi digital melalui profil video desa Caturharjo dan penyuluhan terkait manajemen desa yang efektif melalui konten pembelajaran digital. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi, diskusi interaktif. dan analisa kebutuhan, serta kegiatan berbasis luaran nyata. Hasil pengabdian berupa video profil desa Caturharjo dan konten pembelajaran digital yang dikemas dengan format podcast yang kemudian diunggah pada channel YouTube desa Caturharjo. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menggairahkan kembali potensi perekonomian warga dan menguatkan peran BUMDes dalam memanfaatkan secara mandiri dan kontinu pemasaran atau promosi digital berbasis platform media sosial populer

    Kampung Wisata (Kamwis) Purbayan, Kota Gede, D.I.Yogyakarta merupakan kampung wisata budaya yang sangat potensial karena beberapa aspek (1) kekhasan seni budaya, (2) keutuhan situs-situs dan artefak sejarah meski telah ada sejak abad 16, dan (3) menjadi sentra bagi para tokoh seniman berdomisili di Kamwis Purbayan. Potensi ini menjadikan kelurahan Purbayan sebagai ekosistem yang tepat bagi pemurnian seni budaya, eksibisi artefak dan produk-produk kekhasan budaya, dan kaderisasi generasi penerus ‘penguri-uri’ budaya. Hal-hal tersebut menjadi modal kuat bagi Kamwis Purbayan menarik para wisatawan baik domestik maupun mancanegara untuk berkunjung, belajar dan mendapat pengalaman dari keaslian dan keunikan sebuah budaya. Pengabdian ini bertujuan menguatkan kembali ekosistem Kampung Wisata Budaya yang sempat surut karena pandemi Covid-19 melanda melalui pendekatan pemasaran digital. Teknik ini diharapkan menjadi solusi sekaligus pemberdayaan bagi masyarakat untuk tetap mempromosikan Kamwis tanpa terdampak signifikan oleh pandemi. Metode yang digunakan di antaranya observasi, analisis kebutuhan, dan projek luaran branding bersama mitra. Hasil pengabdian berupa video profil dan vlog yang dapat dimanfaatkan pengurus kampung wisata guna mempromosikan warisan budaya Purbayan dengan jangkauan lokal dan mancanegara. Melalui kegiatan ini masyarakat dapat terbantu dalam memasarkan Kamwis yang selama ini terkendala oleh turunnya peminat selama dan pasca pandemi

    EXPLORING DETERMINANT FACTORS THAT ENCOURAGE EFFECTIVENESS OF RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION PROCESS (CASE STUDY AT BANK BRI, MANADO BRANCH)

    This study aims to investigate: 1) recruitment process, 2) selection process, 3) implementation of recruitment and selection system, and 4) evaluation toward recruitment and selection activities at Bank BRI Manado branch. This bank is the main branch office in the city of Manado which covers units and cash offices in the city of Manado. The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach, while the data collection methods are in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation on the object of research. Data analysis techniques are triangulation, data reduction, data display and interpretive conclusion drawing based on the suitability between concept categorization and the results of data reduction in the field. The findings of this study indicate that in the case of Bank BRI Manado branch, there are at least three main factors that drive the effectiveness of the recruitment and selection process, that are bank reputation, transparency in recruitment-selection activities, and the quality of interviews with candidates. These three main factors are believed to be able to produce competent bank employees who are positively committed to the company. A more detailed explanation of the implications of each factor is described in the discussion section of this article
