The expert literature describes the adaptive mode of a pump as one possibility for the significant savings in electricity consumption for heating in residential buildings. However, there are examples where a project, based on the superficial knowledge of advertising leaflets leads to mistakes and does not save energy. The end user is mistaken that no better solution exists. One example of incorrect boiler project is rectified and calculation of electrical energy savings is made.V odborné veřejnosti a literatuře se popisuje autoadaptivní režim čerpadla jako jedna z možností výrazných úspor spotřeby elektrické energie na vytápění v obytných domech.

The bachelor thesis tries to provide compact knowledge about differential systems. In the first part of the thesis you can find information about basic function and differentials are divided into several groups. Second part describes elementary kinematic and torque quantities which have significant influence on the character of differential. Last part of my thesis is concerned with groups of differentials mentioned in the first chapter. Also in the last part there is place devoted intelligent differentials which are nowadays on a market.

Expectation Optimization with Probabilistic Guarantees in POMDPs with Discounted-sum Objectives

Partially-observable Markov decision processes (POMDPs) with discounted-sum payoff are a standard framework to model a wide range of problems related to decision making under uncertainty. Traditionally, the goal has been to obtain policies that optimize the expectation of the discounted-sum payoff. A key drawback of the expectation measure is that even low probability events with extreme payoff can significantly affect the expectation, and thus the obtained policies are not necessarily risk-averse. An alternate approach is to optimize the probability that the payoff is above a certain threshold, which allows obtaining risk-averse policies, but ignores optimization of the expectation. We consider the expectation optimization with probabilistic guarantee (EOPG) problem, where the goal is to optimize the expectation ensuring that the payoff is above a given threshold with at least a specified probability. We present several results on the EOPG problem, including the first algorithm to solve it.Comment: Full version of a paper published at IJCAI/ECAI 201

Stochastic Shortest Path with Energy Constraints in POMDPs

We consider partially observable Markov decision processes (POMDPs) with a set of target states and positive integer costs associated with every transition. The traditional optimization objective (stochastic shortest path) asks to minimize the expected total cost until the target set is reached. We extend the traditional framework of POMDPs to model energy consumption, which represents a hard constraint. The energy levels may increase and decrease with transitions, and the hard constraint requires that the energy level must remain positive in all steps till the target is reached. First, we present a novel algorithm for solving POMDPs with energy levels, developing on existing POMDP solvers and using RTDP as its main method. Our second contribution is related to policy representation. For larger POMDP instances the policies computed by existing solvers are too large to be understandable. We present an automated procedure based on machine learning techniques that automatically extracts important decisions of the policy allowing us to compute succinct human readable policies. Finally, we show experimentally that our algorithm performs well and computes succinct policies on a number of POMDP instances from the literature that were naturally enhanced with energy levels.Comment: Technical report accompanying a paper published in proceedings of AAMAS 201

Molecular Diagnostics of Pulmonary Diseases Based on Analysis of Exhaled Breath Condensate

Measurements of biomarkers in exhaled breath condensate (EBC) extend a novel route for monitoring lung physiology and provide a beneficial insight into the pathophysiology of a specific disease. From the medicinal point of view, biomarkers present in EBC depict rather the processes occurring in lungs than those in the entire system. Therefore, particular profiles of exhaled biomarkers (e.g. cys-LTs, LTB4, 8-isoprostane, etc.) apparently reveal information exclusively applicable to differential lung disease diagnoses. This chapter describes the developed analytical method being applied to a clinical study for differential diagnostics of various phenotypes of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung cancer, etc. In particular, having determined cys-LTs and LXs by the described method, and having applied them as biomarkers of bronchial asthma, their distinctive potential was demonstrated to differentially diagnose the specific disease, clearly suggesting this method to be reckoned as a beneficial alternative to existing diagnostic methods. Consecutively, the developed method was expanded to other asthma markers as aldehydes, nitrotyrosine, 8-isoprostane, PGE2, adenosine and finally, a supplementary study was carried out, engaging in detecting serotonin. The multi-marker screening and importance in the diagnostics of pulmonary diseases are referenced in the text as well

Title: First Aid during Mass Casualty Incident on the Railway Objectives: The main aim of this work was to assess the first aid knowledge of railway carrier employees working as passenger train crew in relation to mass casualty incidents on the railway. Another aim was to find out how many mass casualty incidents occurred on the regional and the national railway between 2010 and 2020 in the Czech Republic. Methods: In order to assess the first aid knowledge, a quantitative method of anonymous questionnaire with 90 respondents was used. The number of mass casualty incidents was found by a statistical analysis of raw data of railway accidents provided by The Rail Safety Inspection Office. These data were processed by MS Excel 2010 software. In order to test the stated hypotheses, the Student's t-test for Two Independent Samples was used. Results: It was found out that four respondents (4.4 %) of the study had encountered a mass casualty incident at work and provided first aid during that event. The questionnaire and the subsequent hypotheses testing using Student's t-test revealed that the respondent's length of service, participation in health training, and the experience of authentic first aid provided during their work did not have a statistically significant impact on their level of first aid...Název: První pomoc při mimořádné události s hromadným postižením osob na železnici Cíle: Hlavním cílem práce bylo posoudit znalosti z oblasti první pomoci u zaměstnanců železničního dopravce pracujících jako doprovod vlaku osobní přepravy ve vztahu k mimořádným událostem s hromadným postižením osob na železnici. Z dotazníkového šetření a následného testování hypotéz pomocí Studentova t-testu vyplynulo, že délka služby, počet...Zdravotní TV a tělovýchovné lékařstvíFaculty of Physical Education and SportFakulta tělesné výchovy a sport
