Analisis Studi Perbandingan Sejarah Alat Musik Kecapi di Indonesia dan Guzheng di Tiongkok

Ini dimulai dari rasa penasaran dan ingin tahu terhadap adanya alat musik yang berbeda namun serupa pada alat musik di negara Tiongkok dan Indonesia, pada kasus ini utamanya adalah alat musik petik yakni kecapi. Sungguh hebat bagaimana penyebaran pengetahuan tentang alat musik ini, mengingat jauhnya jarak antara Indonesia dan Tiongkok. Hal ini pun diakui oleh kedua belah negara sebagai alat musik tradisional masing masing negara. Di sini, saya ingin mengungkap bagaimana penyebaran dan sejarah alat musik etik kecapi dan gu zheng. Alat musik tradisional merupakan salah satu komoditas Indonesia yang menjadi asset yang berharga dan telah menjadi salah satu daya tarik Indonesia bagi warga asing. Hampir setiap daerah di Indonesia memiliki alat musik tradisional masing-masing. Nada yang unik menjadi ciri khas berbagai alat musik tradisional Indonesia, seperti alat musik kecapi yang berasal dari Sulawesi Selatan. Kecapi sering digunakan dalam festival musik Sulawesi di berbagai daerah, namun sering terdapat permasalahan pada saat penyetelan alat musik kecapi karena membutuhkan waktu cukup lama dan menggunakan pemahaman nada dalam menentukan nada yang sesuai dengan nada nada tertentu. Pada sistem identifikasi nada alat musik ini terdiri dari ekstraksi ciri dan pengklasifikasi nada alat musik kecapi. Melalui ekstraksi ciri dari suatu sinyal audio dapat diketahui jenis nada dan karakteristiknya. Nada yang dideteksi terdiri dari 7 nada, yaitu do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, si. Tingkat akurasi yang telah diharapkan sebesar 70%, dimana nada masukan berasal dari microphone.Dalam penelitian ini penulis ingin menganalisis perbedaan dalam sejarah alat musik kecapi di Indonesia dan Guzheng di Tiongkok. Teknik analisi data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif yaitu penelitian yang menggunakan riset yang lebih mengarah ke sifat deskriptif

Locally optimal unstructured finite element meshes in 3 dimensions

This paper investigates the adaptive finite element solution of a general class of variational problems in three dimensions using a combination of node movement, edge swapping, face swapping and node insertion. The adaptive strategy proposed is a generalization of previous work in two dimensions and is based upon the construction of a hierarchy of locally optimal meshes. Results presented, both for a single equation and a system of coupled equations, suggest that this approach is able to produce better meshes of tetrahedra than those obtained by more conventional adaptive strategies and in a relatively efficient manner

Performance Appraisal Management in A Malaysian Secondary School

The purpose of this study is to explore the implementation of performance assessment in one of the Malaysian public secondary schools. Topics like what is a performance appraisal; the goal of having a performance appraisal in school; the processes for conducting performance appraisal at school; the benefits of having a performance appraisal in school; how performance appraisal affects school improvement; ways to improve performance appraisal in school; common problems with school performance appraisal are explored. There are six respondents have been selected in this case study including one principal and six teachers from an urban school in Malaysia. Eight open ended questions have been developed for the interview session with the principal and two open ended questions with teachers. Data were collected with personal in-depth interview and group interview. The results revealed that performance appraisal is important for the principal to track teachers’ productivity, to improve their career, provide a brighter career pathway and help teachers to improve their job quality. Teacher in the other hand thought that the performance appraisal should have stringent criteria and fair evaluation. It is recommended that this process need a highly cooperation and two-way communication between both parties of principal and teachers

Applications of Face Analysis and Modeling in Media Production

Facial expressions play an important role in day-by-day communication as well as media production. This article surveys automatic facial analysis and modeling methods using computer vision techniques and their applications for media production. The authors give a brief overview of the psychology of face perception and then describe some of the applications of computer vision and pattern recognition applied to face recognition in media production. This article also covers the automatic generation of face models, which are used in movie and TV productions for special effects in order to manipulate people's faces or combine real actors with computer graphics
