Phacolytic glaucoma: visual outcome
Background: This study was conducted to evaluate the visual outcome of phacolytic glaucoma, a common cause of ocular morbidity. Methods: Participants were 30 patients in a tertiary care hospital for both urban and rural population. 30 eyes of patients clinically diagnosed as phacolytic glaucoma were treated. Demographic data and duration of the symptoms of the patients before presenting to the hospital were noted. Intraocular pressure (IOP) and visual acuity were recorded preoperatively and postoperatively. Small Incision cataract surgery with posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation (IOL) was done after the control of intraocular pressure and inflammation. Postoperative complications were noted. The data was analyzed by simple statistical methods. Results: Age group distribution was 19 (63.3%) in >50-60 yrs, 9 (30.0%) in >60-70 yrs and 2(6.4%) in >70 yrs. Sex distribution was 21 (70.0%) of males and 9 (30.0%) of females. Mean age of the all the patients was 60.7 yrs (males 59.95 yrs and females 62.6 yrs). Laterality was RE in 16 (70.9%) and LE in 9 (30.0%). Duration of the presenting symptoms before reporting to the hospital was 1 week in 13 (43.3%). Mean IOP was 45.8 mmHg preoperatively. Visual Acuity was PL doubtful in 2 (6.6%), PL +ve in 15 (50.0%) and HM6/60 in 22 (73.3%). Postoperative complications were bullous keratopathy in 5 (16.6%), anterior uveitis with membrane on IOL in 7 (23.3%), posterior capsular tear in 3 (10.0%) and Zonular dialysis in 2 (6.6%). Fellow eye showed pseudophakia in 22 (73.4%), immature cataract in 6 (20.0%) and Aphakia in 2 (6.6%).Conclusions: This study concludes that a better Visual outcome in phacolytic glaucoma depends on the effective Preoperative control of intraocular pressure and inflammation
In vitro digestion and stability assessment of b-lactoglobulin/riboflavin nanostructures
B-Lactoglobulin (b-Lg) is the major protein fraction of bovine whey serum and a primary gelling agent. b-Lg has a high nutritional value, is stable at low pH being highly resistant to proteolytic degradation in the stomach, besides, it has the ability of acting as an encapsulating agent. This study aims at assessing the ability of b-Lg nanostructures to associate a nutraceutical - i.e. riboflavin - and release it in a controlled manner throughout an in vitro gastrointestinal (GI) system. For this reason b-Lg nanostructures loaded with riboflavin were critically characterized in terms of their morphology (i.e. size, polydispersity, -potential and shape) by dynamic light scattering (DLS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and efficiency to associate to riboflavin through spectrofluorimetry. Furthermore, these nanocomplexes were evaluated in an in vitro GI model, simulating the physiological conditions. Stable b-Lg nanostructures were obtained at pH 6, of spherical shape, characterized by particle size of 172±1 nm, low polydispersity (i.e. PDI of 0.06±0.02), -potential of -32±3 mV and association efficiency (AE) of 26±1 %. b-Lg nanostructures showed to be stable upon their passage throughout stomach (i.e. particle size, PDI and potential of 248±10 nm, 0.18±0.03 and 18±3 mV, respectively). Concerning their passage throughout the intestine, such nanostructures were mostly degraded in the duodenum. Regarding riboflavin, a release of about 11 % was observed after their passage through stomach, while 35 %, 38 % and 5 % were the released percentages of the total riboflavin associated observed after passage through duodenum, jejunum and ileum, respectively. Hence,b-Lg nanostructures showed to be suitable carriers for riboflavin until the intestine, where their degradation occurs. b-Lg also showed to be structurally stable, under food simulant conditions (yoghurt simulant, composed of 3 % acetic acid), over 14 days, with a protective effect upon riboflavin activity, releasing it in a 7 day period.Oscar L. IMPROVED HEAT TRANSFER IN THE USE OF HORIZONTAL TUBES STUDIED THROUGH A CFD ANALYSIS
The main objective in this regard is to consider the dissection of the heat sent in the flow of havoc to the tube flow employing unusual types of modulation. Reynolds estimates ranged from 6,000 to 14,000. Five unusual types of injections are used. 1) Normal rod 2) Whirlpool on rod 3) Whirlpool and green blocks on rod 4) Whirlpool and parallel bars on rod 5) Whirlpool blocks and tomb on the road. The data from the ANSIS can be identified by subtracting the friction of the product and looking at the nestle in insect behaviour. Logical logic is similar to Steeples' report. The logic to see what type of embedding is made in connection with the five times filling gives the maximum rate of the heat blade. The 3D models of the flush tube with the injectors are on the last stop Pro / Engineer and the evaluation is Anisis gone away

A jockey controls the turbine hurry by developing or discounting on the part of fuel by reason particle accelerator tool. The empirical culminates show that that size of the main jet gives excels rise lower assorted load and gear running condition
CFD ANALYSIS ON HYDRODYNAMIC PLAIN JOURNAL BEARING
The hydrolyzed relevance is widely used in many in industry petitions by means of their attribute like high load carrying power and for maximum quicken petition with minimal law loss in agitation, but the optimal modelling of hydro progressive newspaper manner for high load and height boost is bit dangerous for the sake of limitations integrated with cookbook calculations but with the Finite Element Method (FEM) procedure the modelling and copy of hyper aggressive newspaper pertinence is more correct, true and less time serviceable. This work deals with the modelling and clone of newspaper pertinence to detect the force review and dab oil film depth using FEM program. The constraint generated indoors the shifting film is analyzed by solving Reynolds’s equalization, by dint of Raimondi and Boyd. Charts the meaning of dab film width, prejudice direction, law loss, oil hand over requirements, productive coefficients, weirdness and finally the peak constraint is intended within the project

Comparative study of various intra ocular lens formulae by IOL master
Background: The aim and objective of the study was to calculate intraocular lens power with IOL master in 100 eyes of 100 patients with long axial lengths between 25mm to 32mm.To analyse and compare the results of various formulae by postoperative auto refractometry and corrected distance visual acuity and to know the most accurate formula for highly myopic eyes (Axial length more than 25.00 mm). Methods: Patients coming to Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital from December 2012-September 2014 for cataract surgery were considered in this study. All patients with visually significant cataract having fundus findings within normal limits were included in this study and patients of complicated cataract due to trauma, uveitis, Glaucoma and any corneal pathology were excluded from the study. Results: The Mean AL was 27.25 ± 1.25 mm, the Mean keratometric value was 43.62 ± 1.45 D, and the Mean Absolute Error (MAE) calculated by the Haigis was 0.07 DD. Compared to the MAEs generated by the other formulae, the MAE generated by the Haigis was comparable to that by the SRK/T (0.231 D), and significantly lower than those by the Hoffer Q (0.481 D) and Holladay (0.864 D).Conclusions: The Mean post-operative refractive error (spherical equivalent) was found to be the least with Haigis formula followed by SRK/T for eyes with long axial length. The HAIGIS formula has a better predictability and accuracy. The postoperative hyperopic shift was comparable between HAIGIS and SRK-T formulae the least postoperative hyperopic shift with Haigis formula compared to other formulae.

Voltage-Current Behavior of a Superconducting STAR Wire in a 6-Around-1 Cable Configuration
A 6-around-1 transposed cable using superconducting STAR wires can be useful for future circular collider applications. We made three cable samples using single STAR wires with a diameter of 1.3 mm. The first two samples, made with a cabling machine, used STAR wires consisting of a 0.7 mm diameter Nb-Ti core. The third cable sample was manually wound and used a STAR wire made with a 0.81 mm diameter Cu core. The first sample showed severe degradation after the cable was bent to a 75 mm radius. The current-carrying capability of the innermost and outermost rebco tapes in the STAR wire degraded by 42% to 98% and the middle rebco tapes remained intact. This was also the case for the second and straight cable sample. After fabrication of the third cable sample, we observed only about 5% reduction in the current along the wire, measured at different locations inside the terminations. The results suggest that the differences in architecture or fabrication of the STAR wires could have caused differences in critical current retention after cabling
Accelerator Magnet Development Based on COMB Technology with STAR Wires
This paper reports progress in the development of COMB magnet technology with
STAR wires. A two-layer dipole magnet with 60 mm clear bore has been recently
fabricated and tested in liquid nitrogen. The purpose of the test was to
determine what kind of critical current degradation occurs in the process of
winding the STAR wire into the COMB structure.Comment: CEC/ICMC2
