Deficiencias ortográficas en la publicidad exterior de la zona comercial de la ciudad de Tulcán, Ecuador

El objetivo general de la presente investigación, es determinar las deficiencias ortográficas de la publicidad exterior de la zona comercial de la ciudad de Tulcán – Ecuador a partir del análisis de fotografías tomadas con este fin. En esta primera aproximación, se han analizado de manera particular las deficiencias ortográficas de dicha publicidad, considerando aspectos como: la redacción de textos cortos, la puntuación y gramática, los acentos, las letras faltantes y el uso de mayúsculas y minúsculas. Dentro de las herramientas metodológicas se empleará la aplicación estadística Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), que servirá para diseñar la base de datos relacionada a los usuarios identificados con deficiencias ortográficas en los sectores de investigación. Finalmente, el levantamiento de esta información, ha permitido contar con una base de datos que permitan visualizar la problemática para promover la creación de una aplicación para dispositivos móviles de uso personal con el fin de mejorar las competencias ortográficas de los habitantes de Tulcán, pues este software multisoporte brindará a los habitantes las facilidades para desarrollar tareas y fortalecer el aprendizaje de un adecuado y correcto uso de la ortografía

Análisis de las técnicas artesanales tradicionales para fomentar el turismo cultural en la comunidad de Agato, cantón Otavalo – Ecuador

Analizar el potencial turístico de las técnicas artesanales tradicionales para el fomento del turismo cultural en la comunidad de Agato.La presente investigación tiene como propósito identificar las técnicas artesanales tradicionales del pueblo kichwa Otavalo, las mismas que pueden ser rescatadas y conservadas para el aprovechamiento en el desarrollo de actividades turísticas en la Comunidad de Agato, Cantón Otavalo, Provincia de Imbabura. Tomando en cuenta que las artesanías forman parte de la vestimenta tradicional de los indígenas kichwa Otavalo, así como del patrimonio cultural. De tal manera que pueda convertirse en una importante fuente de empleo para las personas de la comunidad, además, contribuir a la recuperación de la memoria colectiva. El estudio fue realizado en base a la aplicación de la investigación documental y descriptiva, métodos de investigación deductivo, analítico y cualitativo. Finalmente, la investigación se determinó en base a encuestas realizadas a los diferentes turistas nacionales y extranjeros, además se realizó encuestas a los pobladores de la comunidad. Los resultados de dichas encuestas ayudaron a reconocer el perfil del turista, así como la posibilidad de que el proyecto se realice dentro de la comunidad. Por otra parte, se realizaron entrevistas a diferentes autoridades dentro y fuera de la comunidad quienes aportaron con apoyo hacia el trabajo realizado dentro de la comunidad e información vital para el desarrollo del proyecto. Igualmente se realizaron entrevistas a diferentes artesanos de la comunidad quienes compartieron sus conocimientos acerca de las técnicas artesanales, costumbres y tradiciones. Con los aportes de los artesanos, se establece el diseño de una guía informativa de las técnicas artesanales tradicionales para contribuir con el desarrollo del conocimiento de la comunidad y así generar nuevas oportunidades de crecimiento a base del turismo cultural.Ingenierí

MOBILE TELEPHONY CUSTOMER LOYALTY STRATEGY OF THE NATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION REGIONAL 3 THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF THE SERVQUAL MODEL

The main objective of this research is to design loyalty strategies for mobile telephony customers of the Corporación Nacional de Telecomunicaciones Regional 3 through the application of the Servqual model. Furthermore, within the organizational development, the “Quality of a Service” is a fundamental axis for the companies since it determines the decisions of the consumers, for such reason the service must be monitored and controlled, and the reviews must be focused on the periodic follow-up to the Human Talent since they are the foundation of the business effectiveness and the main strategy to increase the levels of satisfaction. Therefore, CNT E.P. has developed mechanisms to ensure customer satisfaction, expanding the constant monitoring and redesign of strategies in fixed telephony, offering coverage and adequate confidence that the service meets the quality requirements to satisfy customers. Within the services offered by CNT and through this study, it can be seen that mobile telephony needs to design and establish strategies that build customer loyalty; SERVQUAL was applied as a study tool, which ensures that the quality management system is executed to perfection, achieving the ultimate goal of satisfying and building customer loyalty. The surveys were conducted with clients in the four provinces that comprise Regional 3, and the results were measured using a Likert scale. The results and conclusions showed that customers are not sufficiently satisfied with the service received from the public company employees at the time of submitting their requirements. This problem is not necessarily due to the instrument used by CNT E.P., but rather that customers increasingly demand improvement in service and quality standards

Entornos Virtuales 3D Con Juegos De Rol Y Diálogos Para Desarrollar La Comunicación Oral Del Idioma Inglés

The present research aims at the application of a conversational English course in 3D virtual environments, to develop oral communication of the language in the students of the sixth level "G" at the Faculty of Engineering of the National University of Chimborazo, from March to August of 2014, inasmuch as, little interest in and outside the classroom was detected, which inhibited the learning process. Therefore, the use of listening and speaking skills was proposed, using communicative techniques such as role play and discussion. The development of the research was based on a quasi-experimental and qualitative design, applied type, causal, in situ and bibliographic. The method used was the hypothetical - deductive one that allowed to verify that the oral communication of the English language was developed. It was essential to develop the activities contained in the conversational course, which allowed the collection of information through evaluations with an observation sheet and qualifications scale applied to an experimental group, represented by the sample in two scenarios: before and after applying communicative strategies; the same ones that were tabulated, analyzed, interpreted and compared, these determined that the techniques, role play and dialogue, allowed to develop the oral language skill of the students through the English course

Reading comprehensión among college students

The understanding of a text should be interpreted at different levels: literal, inferential and critical-evaluative. A literal level is to understand everything that the author explicitly com- municates through a text; understanding a text at an inferential level means to interpret everything that the author wants to communicate, but that sometimes he does not explicitly say or write; understanding a text at a critical- evaluative level means to value, project and judge both the content of what one author states in his writing as well as the inferences or relationships that can be established from what appears in the text produced by an author. Some researches consider that college student graduates are not necessarily good readers even though they read advanced academic material, for this reason they do not always com- prehend the information. Many strategies have been proposed to be developed both in class and at home, to improve reading comprehension. Instructors can improve comprehension through non-reading related information such as background knowledge or experiences, ho- mework and class work, and learning aides. Instructors can also teach students how to use other strategies including the SQ3R method, peer teaching, encoding, and reading flexibility

Evaluación del comportamiento de tres variedades de rosas (Rosa sp.) a diferentes niveles de deshidratación en el proceso de tinturado del botón, Pedro Moncayo- Ecuador 2012

The study entitled "Evaluation of the behavior of three varieties of roses (Rosa sp.) at various levels of dehydration in the process of dyeing the pink button, Pedro Moncayo - Ecuador 2012.” has been done in a suitable room located in Tabacundo parish, Pedro Moncayo Canton, Pichincha Province. In the investigation we used a random design with a factorial arrangement 32 and Turkey 5% tests of significance of treatment, factors and interactions Besides 9 treatments were evaluated with 6 repetitions the treatments were the result of the interaction of factor levels variety (Vendela, polar star and Amelia) and the factor of dehydration (0 hours of dehydration, 18 hours of dehydration and 19 hours of dehydration), the variables evaluated were: Volume of solution of the dye absorbed, uniform percentage of dyed, percentage of damage stalks morphological the buttons dyed roses, percentage of waste after the dyeing process, length of leaves in the vase, length of the button of the rose in the vase and the relationship B/C of each one of the treatments.El estudio titulado “Evaluación del comportamiento de tres variedades de rosas (Rosa sp.) a diferentes niveles de deshidratación en el proceso de tinturado del botón, Pedro Moncayo- Ecuador 2012.”, se realizó en una sala adecuada para el proceso de tinturado de rosas, ubicada en la parroquia de Tabacundo, cantón Pedro Moncayo, provincia de Pichincha. En la investigación se utilizó un Diseño Completamente al Azar con arreglo factorial 32 y pruebas de significancia de Tukey al 5% para tratamientos, factores e interacciones. Se evaluaron 9 tratamientos con 6 repeticiones. Los tratamientos fueron el resultado de la interacción de los niveles del factor variedad (Vendela, polar Star y Amelia) y el factor deshidratación (0 horas de deshidratación, 18 horas de deshidratación y 19 horas de deshidratación), las variables evaluadas fueron: Volumen de solución tinturante absorbida, porcentaje de uniformidad de tallos tinturados, porcentaje de daño morfológico en los botones por tinturado, porcentaje de desecho luego del proceso de tinturado, longevidad de hojas en florero , longevidad de botón en florero y la relación B/C de cada uno de los tratamientos

Reading: An overview prior to reading comprehension

Reading comprehension is defined as the level of understanding of a text/message. This understanding comes from the interaction between the words that are written and how they trigger knowledge outside the text/message. Another important component of reading comprehension is the activation of prior knowledge or making connections while reading. So, Readers must be able to draw from their experiences to apply what they are reading. If a student is not able to activate the schema necessary for a specific piece of text, his or her comprehension will be either distorted or greatly hindered.  For decades, a great amount of studies have been done to investigate the influences of reading strategies on readers"™ comprehension. It has no longer been considered as a static and passive process in decoding words and recoding meanings of individual words or phrases. Instead, reading comprehension has been deemed as an active, dynamic, and growing process of searching for interrelationships in a text. In this context, this research presents those fundamentals that readers bring to the text, the factors that affect reading, as well as the reading phases and their supportive strategies

El periodismo de paz como constructor democrático

The current socio-political panorama in Latin America has highlighted the valid character and importance of peace journalism as a positive catalyst in violence scenes through the generation and diffusion of informative contents that allow citizens to link to the social construction of its reality from an objective and democratic approach. However, this model has come into direct confrontation with the actual paradigms, since they demand that all media and mass media are aligned according to the interests of the hegemonic groups -with this respective inevitable consequences- and this logic has had a negative impact in the way of acting of this type of journalism.El panorama socio-político actual en América Latina ha remarcado el carácter vigente y la importancia que tiene el periodismo de paz como catalizador positivo en escenarios de violencia mediante la generación y difusión de contenidos informativos que permitan a la ciudadanía vincularse a la construccíon social de su realidad desde un enfoque objetivo y democrático. Sin embargo, dicho modelo ha entrado en directa confrontación con los paradigmas de la actualidad, puesto que los mismos exigen que todos los rubros y medios de comunicación masiva se alinien en función de los intereses de los grupos hegemónicos "con sus respectivas e inevitables consecuencias y esta lógica ha repercutido negativamente en el accionar de este tipo de periodismo.

Análisis de la gestión de la innovación en la industria, y su influencia en el sector metalmecánico del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito en el periodo 2009-2012

In the present investigation was conducted a study of Innovation Management in the metalworking sector of the Metropolitan District of Quito. Through an exploratory and bibliographical study the different concepts and theories of Innovation Management System are analyzed. Standards, measurement methods, models and indicators applicable management are determined. Ecuador's metalworking sector is described and then the engineering sector of the Metropolitan District is analyzed through field research management level is determined innovation in enterprises. The information obtained from this primary source is contrasted with the main indicators of the Activities of Science, Technology and Research (ACTI) 2009-2011 provided by the INEC.En la presente investigación se ha realizado un estudio de la Gestión de la Innovación en el Sector Metalmecánico del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito. A través de un estudio exploratorio y bibliográfico se analizan los diferentes conceptos y teorías del Sistema de Gestión de Innovación. Se determinan normas, métodos de medición, modelos e indicadores de gestión aplicables. Se describe el sector metalmecánico ecuatoriano y posteriormente se analiza el sector metalmecánico del Distrito Metropolitano, a través de una investigación de campo se determina el nivel de gestión de innovación en las empresas. La información obtenida de esta fuente primaria es contrastada con los principales indicadores de las Actividades de Ciencia, Tecnología e Investigación ( ACTI) 2009-2011 proporcionado por el INEC
