    Molecular Composition of the Louse Sheath

    Flash pyrolysis-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry was used to assess the chemical composition of the head louse\u27s nit sheath. The pyrolyzate of the female insect\u27s secretions, which form a cement-like cylinder holding the egg onto the hair, is dominated by amino acid derivatives and fatty acids. No chitin-specific compounds were detected in the sheath. These results, contrary to previous reports, show that the polymeric complex of the sheath is composed of proteinaceous moieties, possibly cross-linked to aliphatic components. This study constitutes the first chemical characterization of the pyrolysis products of insect (louse) glue and unequivocally confirms that louse sheaths are not chitinous, as suggested by earlier histochemical studies. Development of agents that might loosen nits from the hair shaft is dependent on research that addresses the chemical composition of the nit sheath

V teoretické části se práce zabývá vývojem pojistného trhu, českými specifikami pojistného trhu v minulosti, jeho transformací, jako i členěním pojištění, které trh klientům nabízí, tak jako i způsoby zprostředkování pojištění klientům. Na základě praktických zkušeností je v práci porovnáno využívání způsobu zprostředkování a toto je dokladováno na statistice.Thesis is deal with development of the insurance market since past to the present time and deal with clients´ possition in the market as well. Thesis´s teoretical part deal with development of insurance market, czech´s specifications of the insurance market in the past, transformation of the market and finally with division of insurance. These items are offered to clients, as well as many ways of insurance mediations (services) to potential clients.     The applicability of isothermal solidification as a contacting method for solar cells was proved for the systems AgSn and AuIn. The process is advantageous in that it requires no fluxes, no inert gases, and no pretreatment of the components. The IE contactings of the AgSn system were found to have high reliability (1000 temperature cycles between -170 C and +100 C without degradation of the contacting.)     Design and synthesis of new ligands and heterocycles from activated indoles

    For the purpose of incorporating indoles into organometallic complexes for catalysis, as well as in the generation of new heterocyclic systems, various reactions have been carried out at C2, C6 and C7 of the indole system. In order to achieve this, 3-substituted 4,6-dimethoxyindoles and 6-hydroxy-4-methoxyindoles were necessary as starting materials. Consequently, a lithium-bromide-templated one-pot procedure for the synthesis of some 3-substituted 4,6-dimethoxyindoles and a selective demethylation procedure for 3-substituted 6-hydroxy-4-methoxyindoles were developed.Various kinds of novel methylene-bridged bi-, tri-, and tetradentate pyridyl-indole ligands were synthesised via Vilsmeier-Haack, Friedel-Crafts or electrophilic addition reactions on the indole heterocycle. However, their metal complexing properties were generally weak and variable. Nevertheless, some of the tridentate pyridylindole ligands showed strong anion binding to halides, whereas a remarkable ligand transformation occurred with a bidentate 2-pyridylindole ligand and zinc(II), giving a substituted indolo[2,3-c]pyrrolo-[3,2,1-ij]quinoline system.Two new types of tetradentate Schiff base ligands were prepared from 2-formyl-indoles and 7-formyl-6-hydroxyindoles, and diamines. These preformed ligands were reacted with first- and second-row transition metals to give neutral metal complexes. Novel heterocyclic systems such as 4H-pyrrolo[3,2,1-ij]quinolines, 3H-pyrrolo-[1,2-a]indoles, and 1H-furo[2,3-g]indoles were synthesised from 2-formyl-, 7-formyl-, and 6-hydroxyindoles, utilising mainly intra-molecular Wittig reactions, Claisen-Schmidt condensations or acid- and base-catalysed cyclisations. A common feature of the prepared 4H-pyrrolo[3,2,1-ij]quinolines and 3H-pyrrolo-[1,2-a]indoles was their intense fluorescent character, which was examined as well

    Synthesis of Indoles and Pyrroles Utilizing Iridium Carbenes Generated from Sulfoxonium Ylides

    Metal carbenes can undergo a myriad of synthetic transformations. Sulfur ylides are potential safe precursors of metal carbenes. Herein, we report cascade reactions that involve carbenoids derived from sulfoxonium ylides for the efficient and regioselective synthesis of indoles and pyrroles. The tandem action of iridium and Brønsted acid catalysts enables rapid assembly of the heterocycles from unmodified anilines or readily accessible enamines under microwave irradiation. The key mechanistic steps are the catalytic transformation of the sulfoxonium ylide into an iridium–carbene complex, followed by N−H or C−H functionalization of an aniline or enamine, respectively, and a final acid‐catalyzed cyclization.
