Spa services for selected customer segment in the tourism region West Bohemian Spa

Kvalifikační práce je zaměřena na analýzu nabídky lázeňských služeb ve vybraném regionu Západočeské lázně pro vybraný segment zákazníků - seniory a její následné hodnocení spokojenosti. Teoretická část se věnuje definicemi a přiblížením tématu lázeňství, lázeňských služeb a jejich podmínkami poskytování a dále charakteristikou vybraného segmentu zákazníků. Praktická část se zabývá analýzou nabídky služeb lázeňských zařízení, která slouží pro zjištění, v jakém městě je nabídka služeb nejrozsáhlejší. Následně jsou výsledky analýzy ověřeny dotazníkovým šetřením, které se týká hlavně oblasti spokojenosti daných služeb. Cílem práce je zjištění, jaké lázeňské město je pro seniory nejvhodnější a zda širší nabídka služeb souvisí s vyšší spokojeností zákazníků.ObhájenoThe qualification work is focused on the analysis of the offer of spa services in the region of West Bohemian Spa for a selected segment of customers (seniors) and on their rating satisfaction. The theoretical part deals with the definitions and approach to the topic of spa, spa services, the conditions of services and the characteristics of a selected segment of customers. The practical part deals with the analysis of the range of services of spa facilities, which is used to determine in which city the range of services is the most extensive. Subsequently, the results of the analysis are verified by a questionnaire survey, which mainly concerns the area of satisfaction of the services. The aim of the work is to find out which spa town is the most suitable for seniors and whether a wider range of services is related to higher customer satisfaction

IMMOBILISATION OF HUMIC SUBSTANCES USING PLASMA MODIFICATION

This paper presents a study of the immobilization of humic substances (HSs) on a polypropylene (PP) nonwoven fabric. In order to attach the HSs, the PP nonwoven fabric was modified in a volume of nonthermal atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) under defined conditions. An unmodified PP nonwoven fabric was used as a reference sample. The modified and unmodified samples were both dipped in an aqueous solution of potassium humate, and then the samples were washed in water and the amount of HSs attached to the PP fabric was monitored. An aqueous solution of cadmium salts was filtered through the treated fabric, the content of Cd2+ in the solution was monitored using ICP-OES analysis, and the Cd2+ sorbed on the fabric was proved by SEM/EDS analysis. The efficiency of the PP plasma modification was proved by XPS analysis, and the presence and the distribution of the HSs along the fibers was proved by SEM analysis

This thesis provides a review of knowledge available on wild and feral horse feeding ecology, habitat preferences, competition overlap with other herbivores and their impact on vegetation. In summary, horses appear valuable for management of grasslands, but less suitable for regulation of shrubs and trees, especially when they are compared to cattle and cervids, which are more able to eliminate woody plants. Together with a tabular overview of literature on feeding ecology and plant taxa eaten by horses in the Holarctic realm, an optimalized protocol is provided to facilitate proper field collection of data about the feeding ecology and behavioral repertoire in large ungulates

Bachelor's dissertation Abstract: The focus of this Bachelor's dissertation is on the evaluation of Functional Independence Measure (FIM, version 5.2) and its clinical application for patients with brain trauma. This dissertation includes theoretical and practical section. The theoretical section focuses on the basic information about causes and consequences of brain trauma, and about methods and different measures of independence. Further chapters of the theoretical section describe the establishment and history of FIM, target population of FIM, its clinical use, and psychometrical measures of this tool. The practical section is based on the clinical application of FIM used with patients with brain trauma. The main focus of this dissertation is to analyze the advantages and the disadvantages of using FIM tool to measure functional independence of patients with brain trauma.
