    Get PDF
Since the beginning of tourism activity in the Canary Islands, it has been based on an offer characterized by sun and beach products, in the majority of the cases. However, tourist preferences seem to be shifting towards an apparently more sustainable and respectful complementary model to the traditional one. In general terms, the final objective of this Final Degree Project is based on digging into the resilience of the rural scenarios of the island of Tenerife, as well as emphasizing the potential of wine tourism as a diversifying factor of local economies. In addition, the local perspective related to the creation of Designations on the island will be analyzed, and particularly, the role that the Designation of Origin Tacoronte-Acentejo has as a tool for local developmen

This project is a review from an activity carried out by Psychology and Sociology students who belong to an extension project, accredited in 2018 by the University’s Extension Department (UNLP): “Desarrollo integral infantil y aprendizaje en territorio”, directed by Dr. Sandra Marder. For the current project the “Queremos Aprender” program (QA) (Borzone & De Mier, 2018) is used. Its objective is to promote a comprehensive development of the child, taking into account in a synergetic way the psychomotor, socio-emotional, linguistic and cognitive components of the child development. This is a proposal for pre-school and primary school, whose main objective is giving to the adults who work with children (teachers, parents, caregivers) and to the children themselves the necessary tools for achieving reading and writing. The project took place in Casita del Niño “Encuentro”, located in the town of City Bell’s city centre, from April to November 2019. The children who attend this place come from neighborhoods with a high social vulnerability. The objective of this work is to describe and encourage the implementation of the QA program, which produces a meaningful learning in each one of the children. Our issue to investigate departs from the fact that children who go to school have serious difficulties in the achievement of written language, because of many causes. In order to increase this learning, we use one booklet for each child and a book with its guide book for every extension worker. Our work with the children implies an active coordination of a group of children previously classified according to their level of reading and writing.Facultad de Psicologí

This study aims to present the differences between the use of QFD and its association with CVCA tool in the development of a CPM device for elbow and forearm rehabilitation. To achieve this goal, the study was divided into three steps. The development of a conceptual model that integrates the proposed CVCA + QFD tool for application in the health device development was done in the first step. The second step consisted of applying the proposed model, referring to the QFD method using 8 matrixes: quality matrix, product, characteristics of the parts, process, process parameters, human resources, infrastructure and costs matrix. The proposed conceptual model was employed fully in the third step, allowing the comparison between the methods. The results enabled to identify a discrepancy between the critical costumers in the use of mentioned methods. Customers were limited to the direct and indirect users in the QFD application: the patient, physician and physical therapist. This list got a considerable increase when CVCA was applied: the clinical engineering, product engineering, process and reliability engineering, project and product managers, financial sector, quality system and regulatory issues. These results show the importance of analyzing the supply chain systemically in order to consider all stakeholders to the CPM device development. Thus, needs and relationships delineation of all process customers can be done

Prevalence of victimization from school staff to students referred to school integration programsABSTRACT: This study analyzes and compares the experience of school victimization by peers and school staff, between students with and without diagnosis of special educational (SEN). 5,527 elementary school students studying in public schools with School Integration Programs (SIP) in one city of Valparaíso, Chile, participated in this study. Of these, 77 were students with SEN participating in the SIP. Odds-ration and logistic regression analyses revealed higher levels of peer and school staff victimization for the subgroup of students with SEN in SIP programs, as compared to their non-SEN peers. The odds ratio was 2 to 1 for peer victimization and 3 to 1 for school staff victimization. Whereas for the general population of students, the odds that a student might inform at least one type of peer victimization increased 3 times if that student informed some type of school staff victimization, the same odds increased 18 to 20 times for the SEN students in SIP. These results suggest that students with SEN are an at-risk population with respect to school victimization, both from their peers as well as from school staff. Of special concern is the protective role that school staff is able to provide, if they themselves actively participate in victimizing these students. The results are discussed considering the need to focus on promoting protective factors that may favor the development of a caring and protective community for all students.</jats:p
