Peran Lansia dalam Pelestarian Budaya

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran lansia dalam pelestarian budaya di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan sumber data para lansia di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. pengumpulan data dengan wawancara mendalam dan observasi berpartisipasi. Data dianalisis secara induktif dengan kategorisasi dan perbandingan berkelanjutan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran lansia dalam pelestarian budaya Jawa adalah sebagai 1) teladan atau guru dari berbagai sisi kehidupan berkarya, berkomunikasi, bertingkah laku, dan berbusana; 2) pengarah, penasehat, dan pengendali dalam kehidupan kesehariannya yang meliputi lingkungan keluarga, lingkungan masyarakat, dan lingkungan pekerjaan atau profesi bagi yang masih aktif bekerja; 3) penyemangat, secara aktif dapat memberikan semangat kepada yang lebih muda dalam lingkungan keluarga, tempat tinggal dan tempat kerjanya; 4) sahabat, teman di lingkungan keluarga, tempat tinggal maupun di tempat bekerja

Pengembangan Buku Panduan Keluarga Adil Gender untuk Mencegah Kekerasan dalam Rumah Tangga

The aim of this study was to producing gender equality family guidelines book. Especially the aim of the study in the first year were to 1) identify spouse comprehension of gender and gender equality; 2) identify realization of gender equality in family; 3) identify spouse comprehension of domestic violence; 4) need assessment of gender equality family guidelines book; and 5) design a gender equality family guidelines book. The study has using Borg and Gall research and development approach. Three research steps is conducted in the first year, were: 1) preface studied and collected information about data which needed to develop product; 2) planned (concept defined, goal formulated, and determined the book provide organized; 3) developed the initial product (prepared the book subject matter, and arranged the book). The Subject of the preface study were 260 spouse. Population in the study were spouse who lived in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Sample taking was purposive stratified area sampling. The instrument of the study were gender and gender equality comprehension test, domestic violence comprehension test, gender equality realization in family questionnaire and need assessment questionnaire. The result of this study showing that 1) spouse comprehension of gender and gender equality was low; 2) realization of gender equality in family was unbalanced; 3) spouse comprehension of domestic violence was low; 4) there was a need of guidelines book which used to guiding to realize gender equality in family that content subject matter as gender, gender inequality, gender equity, and application of gender equality in famil

Parental Reactions to Authentic Performance Assessment of Spelling

The purpose of this study was to examine parental reactions to authentic performance assessment of spelling. The subjects for this study were seventy heterogeneously grouped third-grade students and their parents from a small, rural, public elementary school in western New York. Three standardized written retellings of stories were collected from· the seventy students over a period of three semesters and were analyzed for misspellings. The results were recorded on a developmental spelling progress chart (see Appendix A). Parents were asked to respond to a confidential and anonymous questionnaire regarding their reactions to the Stages of Spelling Development progress chart. Since many parents did not choose to make comments, a more in-depth interview was conducted with three parents of high, middle, and lower achieving children to further understand their reactions. Parental responses were then subjected to a qualitative analysis. The majority of parents in this study had positive reactions to the developmental spelling chart as a means of communicating authentic performance of spelling. The majority (97%) reported that they could see their child\u27s spelling growth over the last three semesters. The majority (91%) also reported that the developmental spelling chart helped them to understand their child\u27s spelling progress compared to other children in the district. Some parents thought that the developmental spelling chart gave them more information regarding spelling achievement, while others preferred-numerical marks or a combination of the two

Hubungan Komunikasi Seksual dalam Keluarga dan Rasa Malu dengan Kecenderungan Perilaku Homoseksual pada Santri

This study aims to examine relationship between sexual communication in the family, shame, and the tendency of homosexual behaviour at santri. The main hypothesis in this sudy is that there is relationship between sexual communication in the family, shame, and the tendency of homosexual behaviour at santri. The minor hypotheses are 1. Sexual communication has relationship with the tendency of homosexual behaviour at santri; and 2. Shame has relationship with the tendency of homosexual behaviour at santri. Method used in this study is quantitative method. The population in this study is students of islamic boarding schools at the education level equivalent with Madrasah Aliyah. From 12 Islamic boarding schools, 3 boarding schools are selected to be a place of research, with amount of sample 170 santri. The research instrument used are the scale of homosexual behaviour tendencies, the scale of sexual communication in the family, and the scale of shame that has been tested for its validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques used multiple regression analysis with the help of SPSS 20.0 program. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between shame, sexual communication, and the tendency of homosexual behaviour in santri. Furthermore, there is also a significant negative value between sexual communication in the family and the tendency of homosexual behaviour in santri. Whereas in relationship between shame and the tendency of homosexual behaviour in santri does not have any negative value. So in this study it can be concluded that the better the sexual communication in the family is given it will reduce the tendency of homosexual behaviour, and the researcher gives the program design to the boarding school by giving sexual education to the students of " Sex Education "

PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN BENCANA BANJIR SEBAGAI UPAYA PENGURANGAN RESIKO BENCANA

Indonesia adalah salah satu negara didunia yang rawan terhadap bencana. Beberapa diantaranya adalah bencana gunung Meletus, gempa bumi, tsunami, longsor dan banjir. Banjir merupakan salah satu bencana yang tiap tahun melanda beberapa kota di Indonesia, termasuk kota Ambon provinsi Maluku. Cuaca ekstrim yang terjadi beberapa waktu terakhir di kota Ambon mengakibatkan beberapa titik terendam banjir. Banjir dapat membawa dampak yang merugikan jika tidak segera ditangani. Salah satunya melalui jalur pendidikan dengan memberikan pemahaman mitigasi bencana banjir kepada siswa. Pengembangan media pembelajaran banjir ini menggunakan model 4D. Hasil validasi ahli media pembelajaran dengan skor modus 5 pada tiap indicator penilaian berarti sangat baik. Respon mahasiswa dengan skor modus 5 yang berarti sangat baik. Nilai rata-rata pretes siswa 68.50, setelah penggunaan media pembelajaran nilai rata-rata post test siswa menjadi 81.08. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran banjir berhasil dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap bencana banjir. Melalui pemahaman mitigasi banjir yang baik dapat menumbukan sikap sadar dan tanggap bencana sehingga dapat mengurangi resiko bencana banjr
