Diario El Norte de Salta y la construcción del relato periodístico de la Guerra del Chaco. 1932-1935

El artículo tiene por objetivo principal el análisis de las significaciones que tuvo la temática de la Guerra del Chaco en los relatos periodísticos difundidos por el diario El Norte, desde sus comienzos y a medida que la misma se desarrollaba. Su abordaje permite lograr una aproximación a los modos de pensar esa realidad y a las tendencias ideológicas de los grupos intelectuales de la época, circunscriptas a la prensa escrita local de Salta. Ello, posibilita la relectura crítica de las posturas planteadas por los historiadores acerca de la posición neutral asumida por el gobierno argentino en ese conflicto bélic

Aproximación conceptual e identificación de predictores de riesgo teóricos en jóvenes conductores : un punto de partida para contribuir en la reducción de accidentes de tráfico

Para evaluar el riesgo entre el colectivo de jóvenes que actualmente están cursando los últimos cursos de la ESO y que, en la mayoría de los casos son conductores habituales de bicicleta y/o ciclomotor así como potenciales conductores de coche, creemos necesario para este colectivo identificar, aquellos predictores de riesgo que pueden tener una incidencia directa en los accidentes. Pensamos que el análisis de predictores, nos ha de permitir evaluar la predisposición al riesgo de los jóvenes, a efectos de posibles intervenciones posteriores al respecto.Per a avaluar el risc entre el col·lectiu de joves que actualment estan cursant els últims cursos de la ESO i que, en la majoria dels casos són conductors habituals de bicicleta i/o ciclomotor així com potencials conductors de cotxe, creiem necessari per a aquest col·lectiu identificar, aquells predictors de risc que poden tenir una incidència directa en els accidents. Pensem que l'anàlisi de predictors, ens ha de permetre avaluar la predisposició al risc dels joves, a l'efecte de possibles intervencions posteriors.In order to evaluate the risk between the group of young people who at the moment are attending the last courses of the ESO and that, in most of the cases is habitual drivers of bicycle and/or moped as well as potential drivers of car, we create necessary this group to identify, those predicting ones of risk that can have a direct incidence in the accidents. Evaluación de la memoria espacial y reconocimiento espacial en sujetos con epilepsia

El objetivo del estudio fue evaluar la memoria espacial en sujetos con alteraciones en el hipocampo, como ocurre con los pacientes con epilepsia. Su desempeño se registró durante la realización de dos tareas con demandas espaciales: la tarea de la Sala de Cuadros (Boxes Room), una tarea de memoria espacial sensible a las alteraciones del hipocampo, y una segunda tarea de reconocimiento espacial, en la que el sujeto debe tomar una decisión sobre imágenes relacionadas con el aprendizaje que ha tenido lugar previamente en la tarea de realidad virtual. Los pacientes epilépticos fueron comparados con sujetos controles de su misma edad, sexo y nivel educativo. Los resultados mostraron que ambos grupos difieren en rendimiento espacial, obteniendo unos resultados significativamente peores los pacientes con epilepsia que los sujetos controles. Esto pone de manifiesto que la ejecución de las tareas es dependiente del hipocampo, así como la pertinencia de las tareas a la hora de medir estas funciones

Analysis of microstrip antennas by multilevel matrix decomposition algorithm

Integral equation methods (IE) are widely used in conjunction with Method of Moments (MoM) discretization for the numerical analysis of microstrip antennas. However, their application to large antenna arrays is difficult due to the fact that the computational requirements increase rapidly with the number of unknowns N. Several techniques have been proposed to reduce the computational cost of IE-MoM. The Multilevel Matrix Decomposition Algorithm (MLMDA) has been implemented in 3D for arbitrary perfectly conducting surfaces discretized in Rao, Wilton and Glisson linear triangle basis functions . This algorithm requires an operation count that is proportional to N·log2N. The performance of the algorithm is much better for planar or piece-wise planar objects than for general 3D problems, which makes the algorithm particularly well-suited for the analysis of microstrip antennas. The memory requirements are proportional to N·logN and very low. The main advantage of the MLMDA compared with other efficient techniques to solve integral equations is that it does not rely on specific mathematical properties of the Green's functions being used. Thus, we can apply the method to interesting configurations governed by special Green's functions like multilayered media. In fact, the MDA-MLMDA method can be used at the top of any existing MoM code. Design of a small-size, low-profile, and low-cost normal-mode helical antenna for UHF RFID wristbands

Emerging RFID applications in the UHF band in some cases require very specific antenna solutions. This letter considers the identification and tracking of patients inside hospital facilities using wristbands, which impose strict tag size and cost limitations. We propose a solution for passive tags based on a normal-mode helical antenna as an alternative to bulky and/or expensive solutions that can be found in the literature. The robustness of the resulting wristband will be assessed in a particular implementation by measuring the maximum read range for a variety of subjects with different physical constitutions
