    This research aims to analyze the factors that influence the work competence of employees in the Transfer, Rank and Promotion Sector of the Regional Civil Service Agency and KORPRI Riau Islands Province. So this research focuses on the essence of the factors that influence employee work competence, namely, education, experience, skills, expertise and creativity. This research is descriptive qualitative in nature with data collection techniques in the form of interviews and observations. By using theories from experts who argue that there are several factors that influence work competence, namely, the educational environment. The level of education and training received by employees can influence their work competence. Apart from that, extensive and varied work experience can help employees in dealing with complex problems or situations. Employee motivation is also needed because they tend to work better and produce better results. The skills possessed by employees can improve the quality and productivity of work, as well as ensure that the tasks given can be completed well and on time. The expertise factor has a very big influence on employee competence. This is because the expertise factor includes the knowledge, skills and work experience possessed by employees. The higher the employee's expertise, the better the employee's competence. A high creativity factor can increase employees' ability to solve problems, generate new ideas, and adapt to environmental changes. Creativity is the ability to produce innovative new ideas, creative solutions to problems, and the ability to adapt to environmental changes

    Kesejahteraan penduduk di Indonesia dapat diukur melalui tingkat pertumbuhan ekonomi (PDB). Perekonomian terbuka yang diterapkan di Indonesia mengindikasikan adanya perdagangan antar negara yang selanjutnya berdampak pada nilai tukar rupiah, kegiatan ekspor-impor, serta pengeluaran pemerintah untuk melakukan suatu kebijakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji bagaimana pengaruh harga minyak dunia sebagai faktor terpenting dalam perekonomian suatu negara, nilai tukar rupiah, pengeluaran pemerintah, dan ekspor netto terhadap tingkat pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia dalam jangka panjang maupun jangka pendek. Data yang digunakan adalah time series tahunan dari tahun 1985 hingga 2014. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Error Correction Model (ECM) dengan program E-views 7.1. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa semua variabel berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia. Studi ini menyarankan supaya kebijakan yang dilakukan dapat menstabilkan nilai tukar rupiah yang selanjutnya berdampak pada produktifitas sehingga mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia

    DEVELOPING ISLAMIC CONTENT-BASED MATERIALS IN TEACHING VOCABULARY AT ENGLISH DEPARTMENT OF TARBIYAH AND TEACHER TRAINING FACULTY OF IAIN BATUSANGKAR

    Due to the limited sources of Vocabulary teaching materials, the researcher was eager to design a model of vocabulary materials assumed needed by te students for their daily conversation. The design was a Research and Development applying descriptive procedure of three model suggested by Borg and Gall (1983) who propose three ways of developing a model of teaching material, namely: procedural, conceptual, theoretical.” Then, he followed the research procedure by Sugiyono (2007: 298) suggesting ten steps of a research and development: (1) identifying research problem, (2) collecting information, (3) designing the product, (4) validating the design, (5) revising the design, (6) testing the product , (7) revising the product, (8) applying the design, (9) re-revising the product , and (10) publishing the prooduct. In validating the model, he asked some comments from experts. Because of limited time and other reasons of doing the research, he just applied the step 1 up to 4. Based on the validation result, it could be concluded that the model had fulfilled the criteria both content and construct validity

    This research is derived from the problem in which there was no available reading material of “Bahasa Inggris II” for accounting students, especially Economic Department of Syariah Faculty of State College for Islamic Studies (STAIN) Batusangkar. Relizing that problem, the researchers designed a model of reading material to teach those students as a solution in order to solve their problem in grasping a specific idea that could be found at any English reading materials, especially relating with accounting terms. In validating the model, they asked some comments from experts. Based on the result of the validation, it could be concluded that the model had fulfilled the criteria as a valid one: content validity and construct validity

    ANALISA KEBOCORAN EXPANSION JOINT NO. 5 PADA HRSG UNIT 3.1 DI PT. PJB UP GRESIK DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE THERMOGRAPHY

    Kebocoran gas pada Expansion Joint dapat terdeteksi dengan dilakukannya predictive maintenance yaitu dengan menggunakan metode Thermography. Dalam penelitian ini objek yang digunakan adalah Expansion joint no. 5 pada HRSG unit 3.1 di PT. PJB UP GRESIK., penelitian dimulai dengan observasi data dan studi beberapa literature terkait, dilanjutkan dengan mentoring bersama teknisi predictive maintenance, kemudian dilakukan pengambilan gambar actual serta gambar thermography sesuai dengan SOP (Standard Operational Procedure). Pengambilan gambar inframerah dilakukan dengan menggunakan kamera inframerah FLIR T640. Setelah dilakukan pengambilan gambar maka dilakukan analisa dari gambar thermography yang didapat berdasarkan standart EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute). Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa kebocoran expansion joint diakibatkan oleh adanya 3 hal yaitu expansi thermal yang berlebihan, masuknya exhaust gas dari turbin gas kedalam lapisan dalam hingga ke lapisan terluar expansion joint dan pemakaian yang melebihi lifetime expansion joint. Setelah dilakukan perawatan dengan penggantian expansion joint, temperatur expansion joint pada saat mengalami kebocoran adalah 196.2OC menurun menjadi 72.5OC serta differential temperatur yang sebelumnya critical yaitu 128.5OC turun menjadi temperatur normal yaitu 4.8OC "=============================================================================================" The leakage of the expansion joint can be detected by thermography method of predictive maintenance In this research, the object which used is Expansion joint no. 5 on HRSG 3.1 unit at PT. PJB UP GRESIK. The research started from collecting some data at PT. PJB UP GRESIK, and study some literature, continued by mentoring with the technician of predictive maintenance, and then captured some actual picture with some thermography picture based on the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). The picture was taken by using the FLIR T640 infrared camera. The result from the picture that have been taken will be analyzed based on the standard table of EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute). From the research, leakage of the expansion joint are caused by an over thermal expansion, the exhaust gas from gas turbine enter the inner layer to the outer layer of expansion joint and the used of expansion joint that exceeds its lifetime. After maintenance with replacement of expansion joint, the temperature when the expansion joint leaked is 196.2OC decreased to 72.5OC and the differential temperature when the status was critical is 128.5OC decreased to a normal temperature that is 4.8O

    DAMPAK PEMBELAJARAN ONLINE TERHADAP KESIAPAN SISWA SMK DALAM MENGHADAPI DUNIA KERJA

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran online terhadap kesiapan siswa memasuki dunia kerja di SMKN 7 Pekanbaru. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Data diperoleh dengan menyebarkan kuesioner menggunakan skala Likert. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XII yang berjumlah 74 siswa, dan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran online berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai Sig. = 0,000 1,666 berarti menolak H0 dan menerima Ha untuk menguji kedua variabel Berdasarkan uji regresi diketahui bahwa variabel pembelajaran online mempunyai kontribusi sebesar 70,7 % terhadap kesiapan siswa memasuki dunia kerja, sekaligus berdasarkan tes deskriptif dapat disimpulkan bahwa kesiapan kerja siswa belum optimal, yaitu 14 dari 74 siswa masih memiliki kesiapan kerja yang rendah. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran Online, Kesiapan, Dunia Kerj

    Students' Variation in Translating English Passive Voice Into Bahasa Indonesia

    This article was focused on analyzing students’ variation in translating English passive voice into Bahasa Indonesia. The data was taken from the final examination results of Translation I subject. There were 91 documents. Data were analyzed based on the theory of translation variation. There were 137 translation variations found after analyzing the students’ translation results. The variations of students’ translations were “(had) being banned” 8 translated variation, “was brought down in” 13 translated variation, “be sentenced” 7 translated variations, “(is) given by” 7 translated variations, “were convicted of” 7 translated variations, “were embroiled in” 5 translated variations, “was placed under” 7 translated variations, “is sponsored by” 4 translated variations, “(was) exposed by” 17 translated variations, “had been covered up by” 5 translated variations, “was banned from” 5 translated variations, “were excluded from” 5 translated variations, “have never been convicted of” 7 translated variations, “(was) banned for” 5 translated variations, “was not suspended” 11 translated variations, “have been banned for” 4 translated variations, “was charged over” 4 translated variations, “were investigated” 2 translated variations, “was caught up in” 4 translated variations. It can be concluded that the students’ translation skill especially in translating passive voice still have problem and it should be developed as well as possible

    WHATSAPP AS A LEARNING TOOL DURING COVID -19 PANDEMIC: ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

    This present study explores the advantages and disadvantages of WhatsApp (WA) as a learning tool during Covid-19 pandemic. WA is a messaging application that can be installed on smartphones and has many useful features. Researchers are interested in researching since many students and lecturers choose WA as an application for continuous learning while one knows that many applications are actually intended for learning. The design of this research was a mix method (quantitative and qualitative). This research involved 168 respondents as a sample. The instrument of this research was an open-ended questionnaire. To analyze the questionnaire, the researchers used the data analysis based on Miles, Huberman, & Saldana (2014). Three steps were applied: data condensation, data display, and drawing & verifying conclusion. The study concludes that most of the respondents believed that WA has more advantages than disadvantages. The advantages include it is effective and easy to use; the features are helpful, save internet quota, very light, easy to do communication, easy to observe the students. The disadvantages, however, is easy for the students to cheat, old chats are easily piled up by the new chats, the upload size is limited, and member capacity in the group is limited
