A necessidade de reduzir a dependência Europeia dos combustíveis fósseis e de reduzir o nível de emissões de dióxido de carbono oriundos do sector dos transportes deu origem a uma necessidade de desenvolver novas tecnologias e soluções de mobilidade. Uma das soluções que se apresenta como promissora é a substituição de veículos movidos por motores de combustão térmica por veículos elétricos (VE) e veículos híbridos recarregáveis (VHR). O veiculo elétrico recarregável não é uma invenção recente dado que o primeiro carro elétrico foi criado por volta de 1859 pelo francês Gaston Planté [1] mas foram os recentes progressos tecnológicos na área das baterias que impulsionaram a chegada deste tipo de veiculo ao mercado

Scripts en escena: HIV y mercado sexualen el contexto turístico

A atividade turística tem impacto também na saúde das populações de comunidades anfitriãs. Com base em estudo etnográfico e em 14 entrevistas com monitores(as) de turismo ambiental, o objetivo deste artigo é analisar como o cenário sexual no contexto do turismo e seus scripts sexuais constroem a vulnerabilidade de caiçaras às DSTs/HIV e ao mercado sexual. Scripts sexuais tradicionais operacionalizados num cenário de "curtição", "prazer", "desinibição sexual", evidenciaram desigualdades sociais entre caiçaras e turistas que ampliam a vulnerabilidade dos jovens às DSTs/HIV e à mercantilização de sua sexualidade. Os scripts sexuais femininos (passividade/ingenuidade) dificultavam a negociação do preservativo nas cenas sexuais coletadas; os "mais pró-ativos" eram interpretados como disponibilidade para "programas". Os scripts "não negar fogo", "catar as turistas" também ampliavam a vulnerabilidade dos rapazes. O contexto turístico constrói um cenário sexual singular e atravessa as trajetórias socioafetivas dos moradores. Seu impacto deve ser considerado por políticas e programas de saúde locais.Tourism creates social, cultural and health impacts on host communities. Current paper analyzes, through an ethnographic study and 14 interviews with young ecotourism guides, how the sexual scenario in the tourism context and its sexual scripts construct the vulnerability to STD/HIV and to commercial sex among young "caiçaras". Traditional sexual scripts, operated by "sex playing", "pleasure," "no sexual inhibition" scenario, revealed social inequalities among "caiçaras" and tourists and expanded the young people's vulnerability to STD/HIV and the commercialization of sexuality. Female sexual scripts (passive/naïve) impaired the condom negotiation in collected sexual scenes. The "more autonomous" scripts were interpreted as availability for "sexual program". The "non-failing" and "pick the tourists" scripts also broadened the vulnerability of young males. The tourist context builds a unique sexual scenario and crosses the local residents' social-affective trajectory. Political and local health programs must take seriously into account the tourism impact.El turismo genera impactos socioculturales y también en la salud de las poblaciones de comunidades anfitrionas. Con base en observación etnográfica y 14 entrevistas con monitores (as) del turismo ambiental el artículo analizará el escenario sexual y la operación de los scripts sexuales en la construcción de la vulnerabilidad de jóvenes nativos del lugar para con la(s) ITS/SIDA y al mercado sexual. Scripts sexuales tradicionales empleados en el escenario de"diversión", "placer", "desinhibición sexual", evidenciaran desigualdades sexuales entre jóvenes nativos del lugar y turistas y amplían la vulnerabilidad a las ITS/SIDA y a la comercialización de su sexualidad. Los scripts sexuales femeninos (pasividad/ingenuidad) dificultaron la negociación del condón en las escenas colectadas; los scripts "más autónomo" han interpretado cómo disponibilidad hacia"programas". Los scripts de "nunca negarse al sexo", "ligarse con las turistas", también ampliaban la vulnerabilidad para los chicos. El contexto turístico desarrolla un escenario sexual singular y atraviesa las trayectorias socio afectivas de los habitantes. A revelação da soropositividade por homens bissexuais e heterossexuais para parceiros sexuais: um desafio para o cuidado e a prevenção do HIV/AIDS

This study investigated the disclosure of HIV-positive serostatus to sexual partners by heterosexual and bisexual men, selected in centers for HIV/AIDS care. In 250 interviews, we investigated disclosure of serostatus to partners, correlating disclosure to characteristics of relationships. The focus group further explored barriers to maintenance/establishment of partnerships and their association with disclosure and condom use. Fear of rejection led to isolation and distress, thus hindering disclosure to current and new partners. Disclosure requires trust and was more frequent to steady partners, to partners who were HIV-positive themselves, to female partners, and by heterosexuals, occurring less frequently with commercial sex workers. Most interviewees reported consistent condom use. Unprotected sex was more frequent with seropositive partners. Suggestions to enhance comprehensive care for HIV-positive men included stigma management, group activities, and human rights-based approaches involving professional education in care for sexual health, disclosure, and care of "persons living with HIV".Este estudo investigou a revelação da soropositividade para parceiro/as sexuais por homens, hetero e bissexuais, usuários de serviços especializados no cuidado ao HIV/AIDS. Por meio de 250 entrevistas individuais e grupo focal descrevemos a revelação segundo características das parcerias e discutimos as dificuldades para manter ou estabelecer novas relações afetivo-sexuais e com o sexo protegido. Observamos que o temor à rejeição provoca isolamento e sofrimento e dificultava a revelação para parceira/os atuais ou futuro/as. Revelar requer confiança e foi mais frequente para parceira/os fixa/os, para soropositiva/os, para mulheres, e menos frequente para parceiro/as pagos por "programa". Heterossexuais revelavam mais. A maioria usava preservativos consistentemente, embora menos frequentemente com parceiros soropositivos. Para melhorar o cuidado integral de homens soropositivos, sugere-se a "gestão do estigma", atividades em grupo e abordagens baseadas em direitos humanos que capacitem profissionais para o cuidado da vida sexual-afetiva, da revelação e ao apoio ao viver com HIV.CNP

Characterization of antioxidant olive oil biophenols by spectroscopic methods

Olive oil contains numerous phenolic components with well-recognized health-beneficial activity. The major phenolic compounds present in olives and virgin olive oil-hydroxytyrosol, oleuropein and the oleuropein aglycones 3,4-DHPEA-EA and 3,4-DHPEA-EDA-as well as some of their metabolites were studied in the present work, regarding their main structural preferences. Vibrational spectroscopy (Raman) coupled to theoretical methods were used, aiming at fully characterizing the systems and therefore enabling their quick and reliable identification in food samples

Este artigo aborda questões suscitadas, no plano das identidades, pelas transformações que marcam o mundo do trabalho, a vida social e a experiência subjetiva dos indivíduos nas últimas décadas. Propõe o conceito de Nova Era Capitalista para o tratamento deste período histórico – ressaltando, simultaneamente, a profundidade da mudança e seu caráter capitalista – e noções como as de griffe, adequadas à abordagem da fragmentação e da personalização que caracterizam os processos em curso. Assinala a importância da assimilação da teoria e das práticas “alternativas” pela Nova Era Capitalista. Propõe tratar a questão da identidade a partir da noção de “percursos identitários”. NEW CAPITALIST ERA AND ALTERNATIVE IDENDITY PATHS This article approaches the questions that were raised in the plan of identities by the transformations that mark the world of work, and the individuals’ social life and subjective experience during the last decades. It proposes the New Capitalist Era concept to analyze this historic period. It simultaneously emphasizes the depth of the change and its capitalist features, as well as concepts, such as the griffe one, suit able for the fragmentation and personalization approach that characterizes the ongoing processes. Interaction and second language acquisition: an ecological perspective

Este artigo discute a interação com o suporte da linguística aplicada, da ecologia e da linguística ecossistêmica. Define interação e apresenta os tipos básicos de interação à luz de diferentes perspectivas da aquisição de seguda língua, apresenta uma perspectiva ecológica e, em seguida, compara a interação na sala de aula com cinco tipos de interação entre as espécies em um bioma. Bovine Milk Formula Based on Partial Hydrolysis of Caseins by Bromelain Enzyme : Better Digestibility and Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme-Inhibitory Properties

A new methodology was developed using bromelain as a proteolytic enzyme for the production of a partially hydrolyzed bovine milk formula, without changing the milk's organoleptic and nutritional properties. This study also revealed that the in vitro angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibition increased in the modified milk as compared with the control sample, showing the highest angiotensin-converting enzyme-inhibitory activity for fractions with molecular weights between 3 and 10 kg mol⁻¹. What’s in a name? The quest for new metaphors for second language acquisition

The present article focuses on a series of metaphors found in texts on language and language learning, and discusses the criticisms of the acquisition metaphor and the addition of participation as a new concept to represent language learning. The main theoretical proposals for second language acquisition (SLA) have been selected in order to verify which theories use acquisition and which use participation. While scrutinizing those texts, I found that other metaphors have also been proposed; however, acquisition and participation are still the most prevalent. Participation has been used as a metaphor since Sfard (1998) and has been well accepted in Applied Linguistics. Therefore, I present the cognitive view of metaphor and metonymy and demonstrate that, according to the cognitive studies on metaphor, participation cannot be seen as a metaphor, but rather as a metonym. To prove this, I use the metonymic model proposed by Lakoff (1990) as support. I conclude, agreeing with Ortega (2009) that a metaphorical polyphony can help us understand the complex phenomenon of language and language learning. Nevertheless, metonyms must not be disregarded
