CSIS: Cloud Service Identification System
To meet the need of the computational power, most of the users may go for a cloud based services for its scalability, flexibility and reliability. Cloud services have become an integral part of IT and analytical enterprises. Owing to increase in necessity of commercial cloud products being readily available, it has become extremely difficult for users to identify suitable cloud services. This paper proposes the recommender system precisely designed for the discovery of cloud services. Though there is an exponential increase in demand for cloud services, the amount of research done in this particular field is abysmal. Cloud Service Identification System (CSIS) crawls through Internet, identifies cloud services and stores them in a database. Investing in breastfeeding – the world breastfeeding costing initiative
BACKGROUND Despite scientific evidence substantiating the importance of breastfeeding in child survival and development and its economic benefits, assessments show gaps in many countries' implementation of the 2003 WHO and UNICEF Global Strategy for Infant and Young Child Feeding (Global Strategy). Optimal breastfeeding is a particular example: initiation of breastfeeding within the first hour of birth, exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months; and continued breastfeeding for two years or more, together with safe, adequate, appropriate, responsive complementary feeding starting in the sixth month. While the understanding of "optimal" may vary among countries, there is a need for governments to facilitate an enabling environment for women to achieve optimal breastfeeding. Lack of financial resources for key programs is a major impediment, making economic perspectives important for implementation. Globally, while achieving optimal breastfeeding could prevent more than 800,000 under five deaths annually, in 2013, US17.5 billion ($130 per live birth). The major recurring cost is maternity entitlements. CONCLUSIONS WBCi is a policy advocacy initiative to encourage integrated actions that enable breastfeeding. WBCi will help countries plan and prioritize actions and budget them accurately. International agencies and donors can also use the tool to calculate or track investments in breastfeeding.The project was possible

Green HRM Practices and the Factors Forcing it: A Study on Health Care Entities in Chennai

Findings: The findings of this study reveal that GHRM practices have a substantial impact on the efficiency of healthcare businesses in Chennai. Despite potential conflicts with their core values, these organizations benefit from the advanced HRM strategies associated with GHRM. The study uncovers valuable insights into the role of GHRM in the healthcare industry.
Research, Practical & Social implications: This research has implications for both research and practice. It provides valuable insights for academics and researchers studying the impact of HRM practices on different industries, especially in contexts where traditional values may be challenged. Additionally, it offers practical guidance for healthcare organizations in Chennai and beyond, demonstrating the potential benefits of adopting GHRM practices. On a broader social scale, the study underscores the adaptability and relevance of GHRM in diverse sectors.
Originality/Value: The originality and value of this study lie in its specific focus on healthcare organizations in Chennai and their adoption of GHRM practices. By examining a niche sector within a specific geographic region, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of the applicability and benefits of GHRM. Elevated Gut Microbiome-Derived Propionate Levels Are Associated With Reduced Sterile Lung Inflammation and Bacterial Immunity in Mice
Short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) are important dietary and microbiome metabolites that can have roles in gut immunity as well as further afield. We previously observed that gut microbiome alteration via antibiotics led to attenuated lung inflammatory responses. The rationale for this study was to identify gut microbiome factors that regulate lung immune homeostasis. We first investigated key factors within mouse colonic lumen filtrates (CLF) which could elicit direct inflammatory effects in vitro. We identified lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and SCFAs as key CLF ingredients whose levels and inflammatory capacity changed after antibiotic exposure in mice. Specifically, the SCFA propionate appeared to be a key regulator of LPS responses in vitro. Elevated propionate: acetate ratios, as seen in CLF after antibiotic exposure, strongly blunted inflammatory responses in vitro. In vivo, exposure of lungs to high dose propionate, to mimic how prior antibiotic exposure changed SCFA levels, resulted in diminished immune containment of Staphylococcus aureus pneumonia. Finally, we discovered an enrichment of propionate-producing gut bacteria in mice with reduced lung inflammation following lung ischemia reperfusion injury in vivo. Overall, our data show that propionate levels can distinctly modulate lung immune responses in vitro and in vivo and that gut microbiome increased production of propionate is associated with reduced lung inflammation

Genome wide association analysis for grain micronutrients and anti-nutritional traits in mungbean [Vigna radiata (L.) R. Wilczek] using SNP markers
Mungbean is an important food grain legume for human nutrition and nutritional
food due to its nutrient-dense seed, liked palatability, and high digestibility. However,
anti-nutritional factors pose a significant risk to improving nutritional quality for bio fortification. In the present study, genetic architecture of grain micronutrients (grain
iron and zinc concentration) and anti-nutritional factors (grain phytic acid and tannin
content) in association mapping panel of 145 diverse mungbean were evaluated.
Based on all four parameters genotypes PUSA 1333 and IPM 02-19 were observed
as desired genotypes as they had high grain iron and zinc concentration but low
grain phytic acid and tannin content. The next generation sequencing (NGS)-based
genotyping by sequencing (GBS) identified 14,447 genome-wide SNPs in a diverse
selected panel of 127 mungbean genotypes. Population admixture analysis revealed
the presence of four different ancestries among the genotypes and LD decay of
∼57.6 kb kb physical distance was noted in mungbean chromosomes. Association
mapping analysis revealed that a total of 20 significant SNPs were shared by both
GLM and Blink models associated with grain micronutrient and anti-nutritional factor
traits, with Blink model identifying 35 putative SNPs. Further, this study identified the
185 putative candidate genes. Including potential candidate genes Vradi07g30190,
Vradi01g09630, and Vradi09g05450 were found to be associated with grain iron
concentration, Vradi10g04830 with grain zinc concentration, Vradi08g09870 and
Vradi01g11110 with grain phytic acid content and Vradi04g11580 and Vradi06g15090
with grain tannin content. Moreover, two genes Vradi07g15310 and Vradi09g05480
showed significant variation in protein structure between native and mutated versions. The identified SNPs and candidate genes are potential powerful tools to provide the essential information for genetic studies and marker-assisted breeding program for nutritional improvement in mungbean
