    Human Phenomenon in Philosophical Anthropology

This article discusses the basic concepts that define the nature and destiny of man, which took place in the development of philosophical thought. An overview of the characteristics of the person occupies an important place proposed by thinkers of Eastern philosophy and antiquity. Particular attention is paid to the cosmocentric concept that man is an integral part of cosmic unity and at the same time, thanks to the creative beginning, the universe converter. It is noted that in the Middle Ages religious understanding of human nature dominated. A man was seen as a unity of spirit, body and soul. Important in this period was the discovery of man's inner world. In the Renaissance was approved a new understanding of man. It is considered as an active subject of external and internal – his own nature (mind, soul). The man himself determines his destiny in accordance with his will and desires. The specificity and advantages of introduction of the dual education in the training of economists and managers of the sphere of telecommunications on the basis of competence approach are considered. The research is aimed at considering the theoretical-methodological bases and practical aspects of the introduction of dual education on the basis of competence approach in the training of specialists in economics and management of telecommunications. The object of research is the process of improvement of professional training of economists and managers of telecommunication sphere in higher educational institution. The analysis of empirical data, obtained as a result of the sociological research conducted by the author, identified the need of the labor market in the specialists who receive practical-oriented education on the basis of competence approach. The conclusion is made about necessity and possibility of introduction of the dual form for development of the higher education system of Ukraine. Methods of the research are theoretical analysis of the psychologic-pedagogical literature, surveying; system, complex and historical methods; methods of comparison. Special methods are structural, factorial, and structural-functional analyses

The impact of man-made environment on the ecological and biological characteristics of drooping birch

The article analyzes the data on characteristics of phenological phases of development, the content of ascorbic acid and tannins, and peroxidase activity of drooping birch in the environment of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny. The specific reaction of drooping birch on a complex of negative conditions of the built environment was defined. A special feature is the increase in the growing season in species under anthropogenic stress of buffer zones, in-main plantations, as compared to CCA (conditional control area). The content of tannins in the leaves of drooping birch grows in the course of growing season, reaching the highest values in August. The increased anthropogenic impact leads to an increase in the content of ascorbic acid in the leaves of drooping birch in the buffer zone plantations of industrial enterprises and the in-main plantations in the early stages of active vegetation. In technological terms the peroxidase activity in leaves increases over the entire period of active vegetation

Finite temperature lattice properties of graphene beyond the quasiharmonic approximation

    Get PDF
The thermal and mechanical stability of graphene is important for many potential applications in nanotechnology. We calculate the temperature dependence of lattice parameter, elastic properties and heat capacity by means of atomistic Monte Carlo simulations that allow to go beyond the quasiharmonic approximation. We predict an unusual, non-monotonic, behavior of the lattice parameter with minimum at temperature about 900 K and of the shear modulus with maximum at the same temperature. The Poisson ratio in graphene is found to be small ~0.1 in a broad temperature interval.Comment: 4 pages, 5 figure

Amyloidosis is an orphan disease. Amyloidosis is uncommonly associated with respiratory disorders. The present article is a review of recently published data on pulmonary amyloidosis and a case report of alveolar and septal amyloid lung injury. Clinical heterogeneity of lung lesions in systemic and limited AL amyloidosis (precursor proteins are light chains of immunoglobulins, λ dimer and κ monomer), AA amyloidosis (inflammatory acute-phase proteins), and ATTR amyloidosis (senile and inherited amyloidosis; precursor protein is transthyretin) have been discussed. One chart of the review has been devoted to the pathogenesis of diffuse parenchymatous (unilateral and bilateral) amyloidosis, nodular and tracheobronchial amyloidosis (with amyloid deposits in proximal, medium and distal airways, intrathoracic lymph node involvement (amyloid lymphadenopathy), amyloidosis of the pleura and the diaphragm, and differential diagnosis of these types of pulmonary amyloidosis.

Determination of the Bending Rigidity of Graphene via Electrostatic Actuation of Buckled Membranes

The small mass and atomic-scale thickness of graphene membranes make them highly suitable for nanoelectromechanical devices such as e.g. mass sensors, high frequency resonators or memory elements. Although only atomically thick, many of the mechanical properties of graphene membranes can be described by classical continuum mechanics. An important parameter for predicting the performance and linearity of graphene nanoelectromechanical devices as well as for describing ripple formation and other properties such as electron scattering mechanisms, is the bending rigidity, {\kappa}. In spite of the importance of this parameter it has so far only been estimated indirectly for monolayer graphene from the phonon spectrum of graphite, estimated from AFM measurements or predicted from ab initio calculations or bond-order potential models. Here, we employ a new approach to the experimental determination of {\kappa} by exploiting the snap-through instability in pre-buckled graphene membranes. We demonstrate the reproducible fabrication of convex buckled graphene membranes by controlling the thermal stress during the fabrication procedure and show the abrupt switching from convex to concave geometry that occurs when electrostatic pressure is applied via an underlying gate electrode. The bending rigidity of bilayer graphene membranes under ambient conditions was determined to be 35.515+2035.5^{+20}_{-15} eV. Monolayers have significantly lower {\kappa} than bilayers

A case of granulomatosis with polyangiitis is described in the article. The patient experienced 3year paroxysmal asthmalike syndrome with granulomatous lesion of the subglottic portion of the larynx that further developed into multifocal destructive lesions of the lungs without clinical signs of glomerulonephritis and with positive response to combined therapy with cytostatic agents, rituximab and systemic steroids. The main criteria of granulomatosis with polyangiitis in this patient were high levels of ANCA and antiproteinase3 antibodies. Therefore, granulomatosis with polyangiitis is characterized by polymorphic onset of lung disease with coexisting paroxysmal respiratory syndrome, infiltrative and destructive pulmonary lesions.
