    Peran Indonesia Dalam Rantai Nilai Global Produk Elektronik

    Globalization has transformed the structure of industry into global integration of so-called global value chains (GVCs). Some literatures suggest that electronic industry is known as a successful industry in establishing global value chain. Electronic industry is one of leading cluster in driving economic growth in Indonesia. This study aimed to analyze the role of Indonesia in electronic global value chain according to its share towards global electronic industry, linkages, and value added distribution. An input output analysis by using the Asian International Input Output Table 2005 was employed to analyze the share of each country in electronic global value chain, inter-sector linkages, value added, also output and income multiplier. The result showed that Indonesia had low participation in electronic global value chain. Indonesia's output share was the lowest among all countries which resulted in low value-added acquisition. Indonesia played the role as the input user from the various sectors. It is suggested that Indonesia electronic manufacture sector should be integrated with the input supplier sectors. Electronic computing equipment sector can be the main priority in enhancing Indonesia electronic manufacture sector since it has the biggest effect to economic growth

    Mechanical Properties of Polypropylene Fiber Reinforced Concrete under Elevated Temperature

    Apart from many advantages, High Strength Concrete (HSC) has disadvantages in terms of brittleness and poor resistance to fire. Various studies suggest that when polypropylene (PP) fibers are uniformly distributed within concrete, they play an active role in improving spalling resistance of concrete when exposed to elevated temperature while having no adverse effect on its mechanical properties. Therefore, there is a necessity to quantify the effect of the addition of polypropylene fibers in terms of the fiber dosage, the strength of the concrete, and the residual mechanical properties of fiber-reinforced concrete under exposure to high temperature from fire. The study was carried out on three water/cement (w/c) ratios (0.47, 0.36 & 0.20) using granite aggregate for determining short term mechanical properties of Polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete in comparison to control mix. The experimental program includes 100 × 200 mm & 150 x 300 mm cylinders with fiber volume of 0.5%, that were subjected to temperatures exposures of 400 °C and 600 °C for durations of 1 hour.     Perkembangan dunia perhotelan yang makin pesat, menuntut kebutuhan akan informasi dan promosi agar Hotel Sitamiang 2 Bogor semakin diminati oleh customer. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merancang media berbasis audio visual agar dapat menarik dan efektif, terutama dalam penyampaian informasi dan promosi mengenai hal – hal yang berkaitan dengan Hotel Sitamiang 2 Bogor. Permasalahan yang ada yaitu kurangnya media promosi dan informasi yang digunakan pada Hotel Sitamiang 2 Bogor, karena dalam melakukan suatu promosi dan memberikan informasi masih menggunakan media cetak yaitu berupa brosur,  untuk itu dibuatlah suatu teknik promosi baru untuk Hotel Sitamiang 2 yaitu dengan menggunakan media iklan yang mampu menginformasikan dan mempromosikan seluruh aset dan keunggulan yang dimiliki Perusahaan, dengan harapan akan menarik minat calon customer, menjalin relasi atau kerjasama baik dengan klien perseorangan, klien Perusahaan, instansi atau lembaga terkait, dan sebagai media informasi untuk meningkatkan image Hotel Sitamiang 2 agar lebih dikenal lagi di masyarakat khususnya di daerah Bogor dan sekitarnya. Adapun metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diantaranya metode analisa permasalahan, metode pengumpulan data, metode analisa perancangan dan metode konsep produksi mavib (KPM) yang meliputi : pre production, production, dan post production. Dengan menggunakan media iklan maka Perusahaan akan lebih menarik dalam menyampaikan informasi dan promosi suatu produk dan jasa yang di tawarkan, sehingga perancangan media video iklan Hotel Sitamiang 2 Bogor, diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi dalam pemecahan masalah pada media promosi dan informasinya.     Early second trimester twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome in monoamniotic twin pregnancy: The cause and management–a case report from resource limited settings

    Monoamniotic twin pregnancies are the least common type of twin pregnancies, associated with high foetal death rates. In addition, twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome is a rare event in monoamniotic twins. The expectant management of early single-twin foetal demise is challenging due to risk to the surviving co-twin, and psychological impact on the mother. The authors report the case of early second trimester single-twin foetal demise, likely due to twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome in monochorionic twin pregnancy. The 22-year-old primigravida presented with vaginal bleeding in monoamniotic twin pregnancy. She then had sudden single-twin intrauterine demise at 16 weeks of gestation that ended with the delivery of viable growth restricted female neonate by caesarean section at 34 weeks

    Jumlah penggalian struktur berukuran besar semakin meningkat, untuk proyek penambangan, bendungan, jalan, dan proyek lainnya. Kerusakan massa batuan sekitar akibat penggalian harus dikuantifikasi dan dipertimbangkan dalam analisis kestabilan struktur. Penelaahan dilakukan terhadap sejumlah referensi primer yang membahas mengenai atau berkaitan dengan kuantifikasi kerusakan massa batuan. Hasil telaahan berupa rangkuman definisi dan faktor penyebab, parameter, serta metode kuantifikasi kerusakan massa batuan. Kerusakan mengacu pada penurunan kualitas akibat pertambahan kekar atau berkurangnya kekuatan massa batuan. Kerusakan ini terjadi dalam daerah pengaruh tertentu dan mengubah sifat mekanik massa batuan. Tingkat kerusakan dinyatakan sebagai perbandingan penurunan paramater kualitas massa batuan setelah penggalian dengan kondisi awal. Kuantifikasi telah dilakukan terhadap lereng dan terowongan tambang maupun proyek lain menggunakan berbagai metode: solusi matematis, monitoring, pengujian di laboratorium, studi numerik, dan atau metode gabungan. Akurasi kuantifikasi tingkat kerusakan massa batuan di sekitar penggalian sangat bergantung pada ketepatan dalam menentukan perubahan propertis kualitas massa batuan aktual.     Exogenous WNT5A and WNT11 proteins rescue CITED2 dysfunction in mouse embryonic stem cells and zebrafish morphants

    Mutations and inadequate methylation profiles of CITED2 are associated with human congenital heart disease (CHD). In mouse, Cited2 is necessary for embryogenesis, particularly for heart development, and its depletion in embryonic stem cells (ESC) impairs cardiac differentiation. We have now determined that Cited2 depletion in ESC affects the expression of transcription factors and cardiopoietic genes involved in early mesoderm and cardiac specification. Interestingly, the supplementation of the secretome prepared from ESC overexpressing CITED2, during the onset of differentiation, rescued the cardiogenic defects of Cited2-depleted ESC. In addition, we demonstrate that the proteins WNT5A and WNT11 held the potential for rescue. We also validated the zebrafish as a model to investigate cited2 function during development. Indeed, the microinjection of morpholinos targeting cited2 transcripts caused developmental defects recapitulating those of mice knockout models, including the increased propensity for cardiac defects and severe death rate. Importantly, the co-injection of anti-cited2 morpholinos with either CITED2 or WNT5A and WNT11 recombinant proteins corrected the developmental defects of Cited2-morphants.     Extensive Conserved Synteny of Genes between the Karyotypes of Manduca sexta and Bombyx mori Revealed by BAC-FISH Mapping

    BACKGROUND: Genome sequencing projects have been completed for several species representing four highly diverged holometabolous insect orders, Diptera, Hymenoptera, Coleoptera, and Lepidoptera. The striking evolutionary diversity of insects argues a need for efficient methods to apply genome information from such models to genetically uncharacterized species. Constructing conserved synteny maps plays a crucial role in this task. Here, we demonstrate the use of fluorescence in situ hybridization with bacterial artificial chromosome probes as a powerful tool for physical mapping of genes and comparative genome analysis in Lepidoptera, which have numerous and morphologically uniform holokinetic chromosomes. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS: We isolated 214 clones containing 159 orthologs of well conserved single-copy genes of a sequenced lepidopteran model, the silkworm, Bombyx mori, from a BAC library of a sphingid with an unexplored genome, the tobacco hornworm, Manduca sexta. We then constructed a BAC-FISH karyotype identifying all 28 chromosomes of M. sexta by mapping 124 loci using the corresponding BAC clones. BAC probes from three M. sexta chromosomes also generated clear signals on the corresponding chromosomes of the convolvulus hawk moth, Agrius convolvuli, which belongs to the same subfamily, Sphinginae, as M. sexta. CONCLUSIONS/SIGNIFICANCE: Comparison of the M. sexta BAC physical map with the linkage map and genome sequence of B. mori pointed to extensive conserved synteny including conserved gene order in most chromosomes. Only a few rearrangements, including three inversions, three translocations, and two fission/fusion events were estimated to have occurred after the divergence of Bombycidae and Sphingidae. These results add to accumulating evidence for the stability of lepidopteran genomes. Generating signals on A. convolvuli chromosomes using heterologous M. sexta probes demonstrated that BAC-FISH with orthologous sequences can be used for karyotyping a wide range of related and genetically uncharacterized species, significantly extending the ability to develop synteny maps for comparative and functional genomics
