E-Learning 3-D – welches Potenzial haben virtuelle 3-D-Umgebungen für das Lernen mit neuen Medien?

Die gegenwärtige Debatte um virtuelle 3-D-Umgebungen fordert nicht zuletzt die Medienpädagogik heraus. Welche didaktischen Potenziale haben solche Umgebungen und welche pädagogischen Szenarien werden hier bereits verwirklicht? Vor dem Hintergrund einer Darstellung aktuell diskutierter 3-D-Umgebungen, pädagogischer Projekte und Konzepten multimedialen Lernens sowie der handlungsorientierten Mediendidaktik wird diesen Fragen nachgegangen. Den Abschluss bilden eine Abschätzung des mediendidaktischen Potenzials und ein Ausblick

Velocity estimation in wideband mobile stations equipped with multiple antennas

A new method is proposed for estimating the velocity of wideband mobile stations (MSs) equipped with multiple antennas. The MS speed is determined using the well-known relationship between the direction-of-arrivals (DOAs) and the Doppler frequency shifts experienced by the multipath signal components. The method is based on the assumption that the multipath signal components with the DOAs confined to a small angular interval are clustered in the delay domain. Additionally, we assume that different intervals of the DOAs correspond to different intervals of the propagation delays. The performance of the proposed method is assessed by simulations. The algorithm has a low computational cost and is therefore suitable for realtime implementations

South-western Indian Ocean – Eastern Atlantic Ocean : research vessel Meteor, cruise No. M63 ; 24.01. - 30.03.2005

Die Meteor-Reise 63 befasst sich mit zwei unterschiedlichen Themen. Zum einen soll die Klimageschichte des Agulhas-Stroms sowie die spätpleistozäne und holozäne Klimage-schichte rekonstruiert und werden. Der zweite Fahrtabschnitt befasst sich mit Biodiversi-tätsgradienten in der abyssalen Tiefsee des Atlantik. Die Reise Meteor 63 soll somit Grundlagenwissen zur marinen Umwelt der Tiefsee um Afrika liefern, sowie deren kurz- und langfristige Variabilität zu erklären helfen.The Meteor Cruise 63 deals with two different subjects. One of them is the climate history of the Agulhas current as well as the reconstruction of the late Pleistocene and Holocene climate development. The second subject deals with biodiversity gradients in the abyssal deep sea of the Atlantic Ocean. The Cruise 63 of R. V. "Meteor" will thus produce basic data on the marine environment in the deep sea around Africa and help to understand short- and long-term variability of these factors
