TOI-2046b, TOI-1181b, and TOI-1516b, three new hot Jupiters from TESS: planets orbiting a young star, a subgiant, and a normal star

We present the confirmation and characterization of three hot Jupiters, TOI-1181b, TOI-1516b, and TOI-2046b, discovered by the TESS space mission. The reported hot Jupiters have orbital periods between 1.4 and 2.05 d. The masses of the three planets are 1.18 ± 0.14 MJ, 3.16 ± 0.12 MJ, and 2.30 ± 0.28 MJ, for TOI-1181b, TOI-1516b, and TOI-2046b, respectively. The stellar host of TOI-1181b is a F9IV star, whereas TOI-1516b and TOI-2046b orbit F main sequence host stars. The ages of the first two systems are in the range of 2–5 Gyrs. However, TOI-2046 is among the few youngest known planetary systems hosting a hot Jupiter, with an age estimate of 100–400 Myrs. The main instruments used for the radial velocity follow-up of these three planets are located at Ondřejov, Tautenburg, and McDonald Observatory, and all three are mounted on 2–3 m aperture telescopes, demonstrating that mid-aperture telescope networks can play a substantial role in the follow-up of gas giants discovered by TESS and in the future by PLATO

El mestre Andreu Ferrer i l'ensenyament a Artà : 1916-1928

Se resume la actividad docente y de animación sociocultural desarrollada por el maestro Andreu Ferrer (Artà, 1837- Palma 1975) en la localidad de Artá, Mallorca, entre 1916 y 1928. La investigación es fruto de la búsqueda de datos de archivo, revisión y estudio de la revista Llevant y entrevistas a sus antiguos alumnos. Sus alumnos le recuerdan como un hombre muy activo, entusiasta de la lectura, los viajes y las conferencias. Su vida fue una constante búsqueda de conocimientos, un autodidactismo transmitido a los demás. Se resume su visión regionalista de la lengua, la historia y el arte, la literatura, el derecho de la tierra, el espíritu religioso, el amor a la independencia, etc. Se analiza igualmente la publicación local Llevant, de la que fue activo colaborador. Se concluye afirmando que su método de enseñanza era activo, a partir del medio y favorecedor de una escuela abierta; tuvieron gran influencia Joan Capó, la constante información sobre las renovaciones pedagógicas y su espíritu regionalista en la concepción de una escuela a partir del medio. Existía una profunda conexión entre el espíritu de este docente y la enseñanza que impartió.BalearesES

Atenció de l'alumnat amb altes capacitats des del perfil del docent

[cat] L’alumnat amb altes capacitats intel·lectuals conforma un col·lectiu heterogeni i engloba diverses categories que es defineixen, de manera general, per unes aptituds intel·lectuals elevades. A més, són moltes i diverses les alternatives i mesures d’atenció a partir de les quals es poden cobrir les necessitats d’aquest alumnat, fent possible el seu progrés i el màxim desenvolupament de les seves capacitats. Així, la seva identificació i, consegüentment, la seva atenció i intervenció tenen una importància primordial i evident dins tots els centres educatius. A mode d’anàlisi, en aquest treball es desenvolupa un estudi sobre 6 instituts d’Educació Secundària Obligatòria de la zona nord de Mallorca i els seus respectius docents, on es pretén obtenir una visió real de la situació que es viu avui en dia entorn a l’atenció d’aquest alumnat des del perfil del professorat, tenint en compte la seva formació, la presència d’aquest alumnat a les seves aules, les mesures d’atenció adoptades, l’ús del departament d’orientació i les dificultats que es deriven d’aquesta atenció, les quals s’intenten pal·liar a través d’una proposta didàctica.[eng] The students with high intellectual capacities make up a heterogeneous collective which comprehends several categories which are defined, generally, by high intellectual abilities. Moreover, there are many and varied alternatives and attention measures from which these students' needs can be covered, allowing their progress and the maximum development of their capacities. Thus, the identification and, consequently, the attention and intervention have an essential and evident importance in all educative centers. As a kind of analysis, this paper offers a study about six high schools from the North area of Mallorca and their respective educators, which attempts to offer a real view of the current situation regarding the attention of these students from the teachers' profile, taking into account their formation, the presence of these students in the classrooms, the attention measures taken, the use of the orientation department and the difficulties which are derived from this attention, which are tried to be alleviated through a didactic proposal
