Флоризми та їх символічна репрезентація в іспанській фольклорній поезії

The research studies the interpretation of symbolic meaning of some flowers which being poetic elements can be often found in the Spanish folk songs, poems and poetry. In the artistic communication poets reflect their vision of the world which appears in the form of imagines and symbols, both traditional and based on their own associations that generate completely different meanings. Peculiarities of Methodology. In the furtherance of the goal, the author uses some general scientific and special linguistic research methods, in particular: synthesis, analysis, ethnic-national, linguo-genetic, descriptive, comparative, complex-procedural. The use of the complex methods enables to consider florisms and their symbolic representation in the Spanish folk poetry: they contribute to the creation of a specific poetic imagery and expressivity. The conclusion is that florisms in fact occupy one of the leading places in determining the realities of the surrounding world, both with the help of metaphorical constructions, and by means ofsymbolization.Цель статьи. Статья исследует индивидуально-авторское использование метафор-флоризмов , которые отображают признаки личностного мироощущения и мировосприятия, что может быть зафиксировано как с по-мощью уже традиционных образов и символов, так и на основе собственных ассоциаций, которые порождают новые и отличные значения. Особенность методологии исследования заключается в том, что для достижения цели автором использовались общие и специальные лингвистические методы исследования, в частности: синте-за, анализа, этнонациональный, лингвогенетический, описательный, сравнительный, комплексно-процессуальный. Использование комплексной методологии дало возможность исследовать флоризмы и их сим-волическую репрезентацию в испанской фольклорной поэзии: их использование способствует созданию специ-фической поэтической образности и экспрессивности. Сделаны выводы, что флоризмы действительно занима-ют одно из ведущих мест в определении реалий окружающего мира как с помощью метафорических конструкций, так и с помощью символизации.Мета статті. Стаття досліджує індивідуально-авторське використання метафор-флоризмів, що відбиває ознаки особистого світовідчуття та світосприймання, яке може бути зафіксоване як за допомогою вже сталих та традиційних образів та символів, так і на основі власних асоціацій, які породжують нові та відмінні значення. Осо-бливість методології дослідження полягає в тому, що для досягнення мети автором використовувалися загальні та спеціальні лінгвістичні методи, зокрема: синтезу, аналізу, етнонаціональний, лінгвогенетичний, описовий, порі-вняльний, комплексно-процесуальний. Використання комплексної методології дало можливість досліджувати флоризми та їхню символічну репрезентацію в іспанській фольклорній поезії: їх використання сприяє створенню специфічної поетичної образності й експресивності. Зроблено висновки, що флоризми дійсно займають одне з провідних місць у визначенні реалій навколишнього світу як за допомогою метафоричних конструкцій, так і за до-помогою символізації

Strategic public policy providers in the context of european integration

The media system, public and volunteer organizations are a powerful “weapon” under martial law, which protects the people and the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the influence of Russian propaganda and misinformation in the course of informational and psychological warfare. The war and European integration processes cause a number of changes in the activities of public policy providers. In this regard, the aim of the article is to study the transformation of activity of public policy providers under martial law and European integration, as well as their impact on social processes. The main methods of the article are doctrinal approach and statistical methods. The conducted research established that “social provider” is an apt brand of a modern socially beneficial public organization. The important role of the changes made to the existing legislation regarding public policy providers after the full-scale invasion was noted, especially in the context of the harmonization of the national legal framework with the EU legal framework. Some indicators of the consumption of mass information were analysed. The further research may focus on an in-depth analysis of the influence of manipulations on public views using the example of one of the leading online media channels

Research of functional changes in foreign exchange rate EUR/ UAH under conditions of economic transformation in Ukraine

The article substantiates the need to conduct research into the factors changing the exchange rate between the euro and the Ukrainian hryvnia (EUR/UAH) due to the fact that, in the last few years, the devaluation of the Ukrainian hryvnia has destabilised the economic environment for entrepreneurship. Thus, this work analyses the determinants of the exchange rate in Ukraine; the investigated correlation between the EUR/UAH exchange rate and a set of factors confirmed that changes in money supply and government debt correlated tightly with rises and falls in the EUR/UAH exchange rate. By contrast, other factors (GDP, budget deficit, export operations, the positive balance of payments, inflation, public debt) have statistically insignificant correlations with the exchange rate and are not included in the regression model. It is suggested to harmonise monetary policy with fiscal policy, which has the greatest influence on the exchange rate, as well as to analyse the connection between these policies and the country’s foreign trade policy, which will allow the exchange rate to be stabilised and ensure suitable conditions for the economic growth of foreign economic entities

French loan words in modern American fiction

The paper deals with the origins of modern English vocabulary and shows the relevance of the influence of French on its modern state. The article makes a survey of scientific literature studying French heritage in English lexis. An overview of linguistic and historical data is provided to show the framework within which linguistic borrowing from French was made possible. A number of loanwords are mentioned that appeared under different historical circumstances. The article analyses borrowed words that kept their meaning they had in French, as well as those ones which experienced semantic transformation. The paper concentrates on the fact that frequency of English words having French roots is high enough in the novel by J. Grisham and they form a thick layer of common words. The article demonstrates, what kind   of impact the change in culture-specific concepts had on the meaning of the words borrowed from French and highlights possible prospects of such kind of studies. The paper emphasizes semantic layers of loan words and shows that finance vocabulary, the vocabulary of law and politics and the vocabulary of health are closely connected with borrowings from French

Fairy tale therapy for children of war

The article highlights the possibilities of using fairy-tale therapy by parents, legal guardians, socionomic sphere specialists in the process of providing support and assistance to children during the war. The purpose of the article is to define the content of fairy-tale therapy and create an author’s fairy tale, which is focused on pedagogical and psychological assistance to children affected by military operations. To achieve the goal, mainly theoretical research methods were applied: study, analysis and generalization of special psychological and pedagogical literature in order to identify the investigated problem. It is emphasized that a therapeutic fairy tale heals a person’s soul, as it carries out powerful psychological work at the subconscious level. In order for the fairy-tale narrative to acquire a therapeutic character, it must reflect the child’s problem. The process of creating an author’s therapeutic fairy tale helps relieve tension in stressful situations, contributes to the constructive experience of emotions, develops communication skills, imagination, and distracts from difficult feelings. It was concluded that fairy-tale therapy is a unique method of treatment of mental health disorders caused by military actions, as children find echoes of inner experiences from their own lives in fairy tales

The relationship between coping strategies of extreme job holders and post-traumatic stress disorders

Extreme workers are constantly exposed to negative impact in the course of their work. Over time, excessive stress and traumatic events can cause symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). As a result, employees are unable to fully function as specialists, which manifests in the destructive coping strategies. The aim of the study involves determining the symptoms of PTSD and related coping strategies of extreme workers. Methods. The study is based on the use of standardized PTSD diagnostic tests (Screen PC-PTSD, IES-R, SDS) and coping strategies of employees (CSI). Data processing was carried out using quantitative analysis and statistical methods: descriptive statistics, multiple regression analysis. Results. The study showed that the symptoms of intrusion, avoidance, excitability, high depression, and destructive coping strategies is observed in emergency specialists with PTSD symptoms. It was established that specialists with PTSD symptoms have pronounced “avoidance” coping (p=0.000, β=0.082), while “problem solving” was dominant coping of specialists with no PTSD (p=0.000, β=-0.045). They have pronounced depression (p=0.000, β=0.25), as well as such symptoms as avoidance (p=0.000, β=0.27), excitability (p=0.000, β=0.33) and intrusion (p =0.000, β=0.31). Conclusions. The relationship between the PTSD symptoms of emergency workers and their coping strategies was empirically found. The avoidance strategy is the most typical for specialists with PTSD symptoms. Prospects. The obtained results can be used in the prevention of PTSD in emergency workers. They can also be used for building a model of comprehensive overcoming of the consequences of PTSD by these specialists

Selfie neologisms in social networks

The paper deals with modern trends in word formation connected with the development of virtual communication, social networks distribution and the possibility to be present in cyberspace on a permanent basis. The research concentrates on social media interaction as the main source of neologisms that reflect and describe digital portraits Internet users make and post on the web. Preconditions for newly coined words to continue their existence and become common are considered. Digitalization provides a large spectrum of opportunities for neologisms to be noticed by a wider audience and creates a demand for new coinages. At the same time, a new word should be similar to those existing in a given language in order to arouse interest of potential users. For this reason, the article considers different mechanisms of neological word formation that proved to be efficient. The methods used allow to assess the derivational potential of new coinages, define the most productive word building techniques, adequately interpret the words’ meaning and classify the neologisms under consideration into groups. The results obtained show relevance of digital portrait-based coinage in modern English and demonstrate prospects for further research in the field of digital communication neology

Application of information technologies in the educational process of higher educational institutions under the martial law

The aim is to study the features of the use of information technology for the education of students (n=184) with different social and living conditions under martial law. Methods: questionnaire survey, mathematical methods of statistics. Results. The choice of technical means and information technology for education under martial law depends on the social and living conditions of students. The frequency of using applications that allow teaching and learning has no statistically significant differences between students who have different social and living conditions. Education with the use of information technology under martial law allows students to continue their studies, to be confident at least in education. At the same time, students’ anxiety still remains an influential factor in assessing the use of technology. According to the results of one-factor analysis, the frequency of use of information technology for education does not affect the attitude of students to the use of technology in education under martial law. Prospects. Further research on the use of information technology for students with strong signs of stress and its consequences, the direct consequences of war, and other factors

Intersection Points Between Contemporary Art and Design

New tendencies in the design of cultural spaces have been used to visualize futuristic ideas in design through contemporary art. This research aims to identify the intersection points between contemporary art and design based on a survey of students and to carry out a SWOT analysis of the latest technology implementation process for the professional training of future specialists in the design and contemporary art to establish the benefits of using the latest technology. Results. We analyzed the elements of contemporary art and principles of art and design in modern art to identify points of intersection between contemporary art and design. As a result of the study, it was found that the use of the latest technology benefits both students and teachers; contributes to the development of practical skills of future professionals in the field of contemporary art and design based on the use of the latest technology; development of the ability to use the latest technology in contemporary art and design; development of algorithmic style and culture of thinking of students
