The article explores the concepts and requirements for creating cultural routes as the basis (or supplement) for the formation of national tourist routes for various types of tourism - cultural, educational, educational, event and others in order to create the attractiveness of destinations to increase the internal tourist flow. The foreign and author's approach to the definition "cultural route" was considered, the feasibility of its development and application in Russian legislation was justified. The regulatory legal framework of Russian tourism contains only the rules for certification of national tourist routes, which, according to the author, is not enough to improve the work on the formation of recognizable regional brands in the context of the development of domestic tourism in the country. The main factors of motivation for the development of cultural routes in Russia are formulated on the basis of local initiatives that have the support of the urban community. The considered experience of certification of cultural routes in Europe allows us to formulate approaches to the development of tourist cultural routes of several levels - local, regional, national, international. The author also assesses the attractiveness of cultural routes for various segments of consumers in Russian tourism, taking into account the frequency of their travel in various regions of Russia. Travel trends in domestic and local Russian tourism have been identified, contributing to an increase in demand for visits to cultural, historical, architectural and memorable objects as part of short-term trips, often organized independently. Based on travel statistics in domestic tourism, the main segments of tourists who will be interested in consuming tourist products formed on the basis of cultural routes have been identified.

Many factors influence the development of the educational system, and today it is a global COVID-19 pandemic. Stakeholders in the educational process need to adjust to a new distant reality without compromising the quality. The formative assessment proved to be a suitable approach to overcome existing challenges, and one of the most popular tools to facilitate it is Socrative. The study aims to 1) investigate student attitudes and the correlation between academic achievements in ESP and majors and 2) present our experience in utilizing Socrative for formative assessment in a distant mode in the settings of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.” To achieve the goals of our study, we have developed and validated a questionnaire, collected quantitative data, analyzed and interpreted the qualitative data; the study sample included 137 students. The obtained results have shown the general positive student attitude towards the usage of Socrative within the course of ESP due to its efficacy, personalization, and responsiveness. The results can be a perspective for further investigation despite some limitations

Composition and Properties of Fine-grained Concrete for Self-cleaning Coatings

The paper considers the dependences of the properties of self-cleaning fine-grained concrete on the composition of the concrete mixture: the ratio of sand to white Portland cement, the content of plasticizer, the content of photocatalytic composite material. The photocatalytic composite material (PCM) is a diatomite-based anatase-silica material obtained by sol-gel deposition of nanoscale TiO2 of anatase modification on a silica carrier. The investigated properties of fine-grained concrete were: average density, compressive strength and self-cleaning ability, which was determined by evaluating the photocatalytic decomposition of an organic dye – Rhodamine B. It was shown that an increase in the content of PCM to increase the ability of the coating to self-cleaning leads to a loosening of the structure of fine-grained concrete, but this can be successfully offset by an increase in the content of plasticizer, which additionally improves the distribution of the photocatalytic agent in the cement-sand matrix. An increase in the proportion of sand and the content of plasticizer also contribute to an increase in the ability to self-cleaning. The pozzolan activity of the PCM provides an increase in the strength of concrete. The results of comparing the self-cleaning ability of fine-grained concrete of various compositions indicate a high photocatalytic activity of samples with PCM, which allows its application for creating self-cleaning coatings

Assessing the Effect of Piperacillin/Tazobactam on Hematological Parameters in Patients Admitted with Moderate or Severe Foot Infections

Introduction: Piperacillin/tazobactam is a commonly used antibiotic for the empirical treatment of severe diabetic foot infections. One of the most feared complications of this drug is the development of pancytopenia. The aim of this study was to determine whether the use of piperacillin/tazobactam caused any hematological changes in patients admitted with severe diabetes-related foot infections from a specialist multidisciplinary foot clinic. Specifically, looking at whether it caused anemia, leukopenia, neutropenia, or thrombocytopenia. Methods: A 1-year retrospective analysis of patients admitted to a tertiary care center for treatment of diabetes-related foot infection using piperacillin/tazobactam. Hematological indices, urea and electrolytes, and C-reactive protein (CRP) were recorded pretreatment, during treatment, and posttreatment. HbA1c, vitamin B12, folate, thyroid-stimulating hormone, and free thyroxin were also analyzed to exclude any potential confounders as a cause of pancytopenia. Results: A total of 154 patients were admitted between 1 January 2016 and 31 December 2016 who received piperacillin/tazobactam for severe diabetes-related foot infection. On admission, white cell count and CRP were raised and fell significantly within the first 48 h. Other hematological factors did not change. Five patients developed a mild pancytopenia, of which three were unexplained. Conclusion: In this relatively small cohort, pancytopenia did not occur. As such, piperacillin/tazobactam appeared to have a low risk of adverse hematological outcomes and remains the treatment of choice for severe diabetes-related foot infections
