The paper has analyzed the contemporary standards that all democracies have embraced. A special emphasis has been placed on international conventions and rules, as well as the laws to protect the rights of all members of a modern social community. It is its duty to look after all its members and eliminate any form of discrimination, and even a threat of it. The European Concept for Accessibility promotes a new social model, designed to change entirely the attitude to the handicapped. The Concept offers a completely new approach, viewing the community as a whole. This integrated approach stretches to the needs of the community and the needs of each and every member of it, making no difference between individual groups within the population. Instead, it creates the environment to satisfy the needs of each individual member and, by extension, the community at large. The role of architecture is to recognize the needs of a community and take the lead in reshaping the standards to create a new environment accessible to all its members. This will give architecture a fundamental dimension, and make it the integrative factor to blend the community together. Time arhitektura dobija svoju suÅ”tinsku dimenziju i postaje integrativni faktor zajednice kao celine. Pojam: arhitektura, druÅ”tvena zajednica, pristupačnost, dostupnost za sve, inkluzija, inkluzivni dizajn, univerzalni dizajn. This paper is based on the analysis of several international conventions and rules, as well as national regulations dealing with protection of rights of all members of community, especially preventing all potential forms of discrimination and with special focus on people with disabilities. Application of the European accessibility concept [i] would achieve the promotion of a new social model that would completely transform the relation towards the persons with disabilities. The concept suggests essentially different approach ā€“ treating the community as a whole, and thus all its needs and needs of each community member as one, making no difference among individual groups within the overall population, but provides the solutions that meet the conditions to fulfil the need of each individual member and the community as a whole. Terms: accessibility, access to all, inclusion, inclusive design, universal design, values/directions, principles, standards/norms/technical regulations, legislation. Theoretical frame: historical overview (international ā€“ national compatibility

Background/Aim. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an immunemediated central nervous system disease characterized by inflammation, demyelination and axonal degeneration. Cytokines are proven mediators of immunological process in MS. The aim of this study was to investigate whether there is a difference in the production of the tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha) and interleukin-4 (IL-4) in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and plasma in the MS patients and the controls (other neurological non-inflammatory diseases) and to determine a possible difference in these cytokines in plasma and CSF in different clinical forms of MS. Methods. This study involved 60 consecutive MS patients - 48 patients with relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS) and 12 patients with secondary progressive MS (SPMS). The control group consisted of 20, age and sex matched, nonimmunological, neurological patients. According to the clinical presentation of MS at the time of this investigation, 34 (56.7%) patients had relapse (RRMS), 14 (23.3%) were in remission (RRMS), while the rest of the patients, 12 (20.0%), were SPMS. TNF-alpha and IL-4 concentrations were measured in the same time in CSF and plasma in the MS patients and the controls. Extended disability status score (EDSS), albumin ratio and IgG index were determined in all MS patients. Results. The MS patients had significantly higher CSF and plasma levels of TNF-alpha than the controls (p < 0.001 for both samples). IL-4 CSF levels were significantly lower in the MS patients than in the controls (p < 0.001), however plasma levels were similar. The patients in relapse (RRMS) and with progressive disease (SPMS) had higher concentrations of CSF TNF-alpha levels than the patients in remission (p < 0.001). IL-4 CSF levels in relapse (RRMS) and SPMS groups were lower than in the patients in remission. The patients in remission had an unmeasurable plasma TNF-alpha level and the patients with SPMS had significantly lower IL-4 levels in plasma than the patients in relapse and remission (p < 0.001). The only significant correlation between cytokine level with either EDSS, or albumin ratio, or IgG index, was found between CSF TNF-alpha levels and albumin ratio in the patients with relapse (R square = 0.431, p < 0.001). Conclusion. According to the obtained data MS relapse was characterized by high concentrations of TNF-alpha in CSF and plasma and low concentrations of IL-4 in CSF. Remission was characterized by high concentrations of IL-4 and low concentrations of TNF-alpha both in CSF and plasma. SPMS was characterized with lower concentrations of TNF-alpha and IL-4 compared to relapse, both in CSF and plasma

The aim of this study was to investigate the extraction efficiency of bioactive compounds from stevia leaves by using accelerated solvent extraction with water as solvent. ASE extraction is carried out by varying the static extraction time (5 , 10 minutes), the extraction temperature (100 Ā° C , 130 Ā° C and 160 Ā° C ) and the number of extraction cycles ( 1 , 2 or 3 cycles ). The content of total phenols, proanthocyanidins, chlorophyll A and B were determined spectrophotometrically. The optimal parameters for ASE extraction were determined based on the results and statistical analysis. For total phenols optimal parameters were 160 Ā° C , 5 min , 2 cycles , for the proanthocyanidins : 160 Ā° C , 10 min , 3 cycles , for the chlorophyll A : 100 Ā° C , 10 min , 2 cycles and for chlorophyll B: 160 Ā° C , 10 min , 3 cycles

AbstractThe concepts of e-learning and e-teaching play important roles in educational technology applied in different educational contexts. E-learning technology can promote the inclusion of students with various disabilities in education. We considered roles of e-teacher which are useful in e-education of students with disabilities. Usefulness of assistive technology and e-learning technology are also considered (project OI179026). The examples of implementation of e-learning/e-teaching components in education of students with specific learning disabilities supported perspectives of inclusive e-education and importance of teachersā€™ competence of e-teaching in inclusive education

Agricultural niche building in the Neolithic central Balkans

Agronomic studies emphasise that agriculture is modelled by different groups of factors that form complex and dynamic socio-ecological systems of agricultural production. Biological by nature, this form of production is influenced by natural environment, many aspects of which are not under farmerā€™s control, such as, for instance, species suitability, (micro-)regional climate, pests and diseases. Farming decisions are further shaped by economic goals, including ensuring dietary sustenance and generating income. Finally, agricultural activities are embedded in the social contexts created and reproduced by the farming households and societies. This presentation is concerned with plant-based agricultural production in the Neolithic in the central part of the Balkan Peninsula. It observes how crop cultivation practices varied between the settlements and how they changed through the c. 1700-year long period (6200-4500 BC). Two transformational developments punctuate this sequence: (1) transmission in the late 7th millennium BC of the Early Neolithic farming practices northwards from the Aegean and into the continental parts of the Balkan Peninsula. We track adaptations that these practices underwent, as evidence of adjustment to local environments and climate; such adaptations underpinned creation of the regional socio-economic context known as the Starčevo culture; (2) emergence of a new socio-economic context, the Vinča culture, in the 2nd half of the 6th millennium BC, accompanied by new pottery technology and settlement pattern, an apparent increase in the population size, and followed by the beginning of extractive metallurgy at the turn of the millennia; we illustrate how changes in crop production were one additional element of this general economic growth. For archaeobotanical inferences on the adaptations and modifications in plant production, we rely on the analysis of crop and wild diversity (=the range of species and their relative abundance) in the assemblages from Starčevo and Vinča culture sites in Serbia
