We perform a bibliographic review and report a case of ureter-iliac artery fistula reviewing its major differential diagnosis. METHODS: This case-study describes a patient with massive hematuria that presented a ureter-iliac artery fistula secondary to spontaneous rupture of an internal iliac artery aneurysm. RESULTS: 86 -year-old male patient with history of previous surgery for aneurysm and ureteral catheterization. CONCLUSIONS: This difficult diagnosis should be thought of in a patient with massive macroscopic hematuria and previous vascular surgery. The treatment is always surgery.     Production system of organic orange and its implications: Study in the SOS site Agroecological, Northeast of Pará

    The organic production of produce in Brazil has been increasing very year due higher demand for more health food, and many farmers are migrating to these concept of food production. Therefore, the aim of this study is to understand the philosophic concept, as well as doing a description and analyzing the implications of the production system of organic orange. The research was done at Sítio SOS Agroecológico, localized in the city of CapitãoPoço, northeast of Pará. The qualitative exploratory research was done with the owner of the area, who is also a producer of organic orange, through, mainly, visits, semi structured surveys, transect walks in the area, and photographic records. The production of the site is considered adequate; their main market are organic fairs and big supermarkets; however, price and logistic are the main obstacles, besides the certification, where in Brazil is still an onerous process. The production system of Sitio SOS shows certain similarities with the concept of biologic and natural agriculture since both systems goals are the reduction of the rural producer costs, the use of alternative products and/or natural available on the property

    Direct evaluation of mixed mode i+ii cohesive laws of wood by coupling mmb test with dic

    grant number FCOMP-01-0124-287 FEDER-022692Governing cohesive laws in mixed mode I+II loading of Pinus pinaster Ait. are directly identified by coupling the mixed mode bending test with full-field displacements measured at the crack tip by Digital Image Correlation (DIC). A sequence of mixed mode ratios is studied. The proposed data reduction relies on: (i) the compliance-based beam method for evaluating strain energy release rate; (ii) the local measurement of displacements to compute the crack tip opening displacement; and (iii) an uncoupled approach for the reconstruction of the cohesive laws and its mode I and mode II components. Quantitative parameters are extracted from the set of cohesive laws components in function of the global phase angle. Linear functions were adjusted to reflect the observed trends and the pure modes (I and II) fracture parameters were estimated by extrapolation. Results show that the obtained assessments agree with previous experimental measurements addressing pure modes (I and II) loadings on this wood species, which reveals the appropriateness of the proposed methodology to evaluate the cohesive law under mixed mode loading and its components.publishersversionpublishe

    Development of microsprinkler prototypes through rapid prototyping and mechanical lathing

    Objetivou-se, com este trabalho, construir protótipos de microaspersores, com boa uniformidade de distribuição para irrigações com sobreposição em hortas agrícolas, utilizando-se os processos de prototipagem rápida e torneamento mecânico. O estudo foi conduzido na ESALQ/USP e no Centro de Tecnologia da Informação Renato Archer (CTI). Utilizou-se o coeficiente de uniformidade de Christiansen na avaliação do desempenho dos emissores. O PVC e o tecnyl foram os materiais que apresentaram mais facilidade na construção dos protótipos no processo de torneamento mecânico, porém o PVC foi o escolhido devido ao melhor acabamento. Os protótipos construídos com torneamento mecânico apresentaram resultados satisfatórios ressaltando tratar-se de um processo bastante artesanal e laborioso; já com a prototipagem rápida se construíram protótipos com melhores acabamentos e mais rapidez. A utilização da prototipagem rápida no desenvolvimento de equipamentos de irrigação é algo totalmente inovador e de caráter pioneiro, além de uma ferramenta de grande utilidade na área de inovação de produtos no setor de Engenharia Agrícola.The present study had the objective of developing prototypes of microsprinkler with good distribution uniformity to irrigate with overlap in vegetable crops, by rapid prototyping and mechanic tournament. The work was carried out in the Hydraulic Laboratory of the Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and in the Centro de Tecnologia da Informação Renato Archer (CTI). Two processes were tested in the development of the microsprinkler prototypes rapid prototype and mechanical lathing. Christiansen Uniformity Coefficient was used as indicator to evaluate the distribution uniformity. Among the tested materials, the PVC and the technyl showed more facility in the prototype development in the mechanical lathing process, however, the PVC was chosen due to better finishing. The prototypes built by mechanical lathing showed satisfactory results, but were hard work and handmade. On the other hand, with the rapid prototyping, prototypes were built with better finishing and were quicker.     Electrooxidation and determination of dopamine using a Nafion®-cobalt hexacyanoferrate film modified electrode

    The electrocatalysis of dopamine has been studied using a cobalt hexacyanoferrate film (CoHCFe)-modified glassy carbon electrode. Using a rotating disk CoHCFe-modified electrode, the reaction rate constant for dopamine was found to be 3.5 × 105 cm3 mol-1 s-1 at a concentration of 5.0 × 10-5 mol L-1. When a Nafion® film is applied to the CoHCFe-modified electrode surface a high selectivity for the determination of dopamine over ascorbic acid was obtained. The analytical curve for dopamine presented linear dependence over the concentration range from 1.2 × 10-5 to 5.0 × 10-4 mol L-1 with a slope of 23.5 mA mol-1 L and a linear correlation coefficient of 0.999. The detection limit of this method was 8.9 × 10-6 mol L-1 and the relative standard deviation for five measurements of 2.5 × 10-4 mol L-1 dopamine was 0.58%

    Coaching educacional na formação de professores para melhorar o processo de aprendizagem dos alunos do Instituto Federal de São Paulo

    A educação necessita de novas práticas inovadoras para melhorar o processo de aprendizagem dos alunos, pois, na educação básica, os discentes são da geração Z – adeptos da realidade virtual. Essa geração nasceu na cibercultura e precisa de estímulos motivacionais para uma educação na era planetária, englobando questões políticas, econômicas, tecnológicas, culturais, ambientais e sociais, sob contexto dinâmico e de complexidade da contemporaneidade. Para isso, os professores devem aperfeiçoar sua prática pedagógica para os alunos aprenderem a aprender. O “coaching educacional” é um conjunto de ferramentas que tem por fim o autoconhecimento, aumentar o desempenho dos alunos, usar os conhecimentos adquiridos por estes para criar novos, transformar os limites de cada discente em recursos promissores, pensar e discutir metas e ações observando o passado visando o futuro focando na aceleração de resultados e felicidade. O objetivo dessa pesquisa é o uso da cultura “coaching educacional” na formação de professores com o propósito de melhorar o processo de aprendizagem dos alunos. A hipótese da mitigação é verificar se os professores capacitados na cultura “coaching educacional” aperfeiçoaram suas atividades no processo ensino e aprendizagem dos discentes. A metodologia da pesquisa fundamenta-se em duas fases: inicialmente, uma revisão das referências para o Estado da Arte, e, em seguida, pesquisas qualitativa e quantitativa para avaliar o uso da cultura “coaching” no processo ensino-aprendizagem. Os resultados, iniciais obtidos, foram bemsucedidos, isto é, houve uma maior eficácia dos alunos na aprendizagem orientados por professor formado na cultura “coaching educacional” do que aqueles docentes que não realizaram a capacitação. O curso de capacitação em “coaching educacional” será ampliado para novas ferramentas, pensando em aperfeiçoar ainda mais os resultados da aprendizagem e felicidade dos alunos.Éducation exige des pratiques innovantes pour améliorer le processus d'apprentissage des élèves, comme dans l'éducation de base, les étudiants sont la génération Z - ventilateurs de réalité virtuelle. Cette génération est née en cyberculture et ont besoin de stimuli de motivation pour l'éducation à l'ère planétaire, englobant les questions politiques, économiques, technologiques, culturels, environnementaux et sociaux dans le cadre contexte dynamique et de la complexité du monde contemporain. Pour cela, les enseignants devraient améliorer leur pratique de l'enseignement pour les étudiants d'apprendre à apprendre. Le “coaching pédagogique” est un ensemble d'outils qui a enfin la connaissance de soi, d'augmenter le rendement des élèves, en utilisant les connaissances acquises par eux pour créer de nouvelles, en transformant les limites de chaque étudiant en ressources prometteuses, réfléchir et discuter des objectifs et des actions d'observation le passé vise à l'avenir en mettant l'accent sur l'accélération de résultats et de bonheur. L'objectif de cette recherche est l'utilisation de la culture “coaching pédagogique” dans la formation des enseignants afin d'améliorer le processus d'apprentissage des élèves. L'hypothèse de l'atténuation est de savoir si les enseignants formés à la culture “coaching éducatif” perfectionné ses activités dans l'enseignement et l'apprentissage des élèves. La méthodologie de recherche repose sur deux phases: d'abord, un examen des références à l'état de l'art, et de la recherche puis qualitative et quantitative pour évaluer l'utilisation de la culture “coaching” dans le processus d'enseignement-apprentissage. Les résultats, obtenus au début, ont réussi, qui est, il était un étudiant plus efficace l'apprentissage guidé par un enseignant formé dans la culture “coaching pédagogique” que les enseignants qui ne suivent une formation.
