“DEUTSCHE WELLE” AS A MASS MEDIA LANGUAGE FOR SPECIALIST PURPOSES: PRAGMATICS, ANALYSIS, AND TRANSLATION

Purpose: Within the framework of the translation studies, the results of research on mass media texts were presented only by individual examples in the professional literature. While, for example, literary texts have developed a variety of guidelines, strategies, and models of translation. There were almost no studies on the TV news translation. We have found only a few references to this topic in scientific works dealing with mass media texts translation in general. There is still no comprehensive analysis of the German mass media translation in Ukrainian. Methodology: However the language for specialist purposes is a special style, which creates and presents to the viewer the news texts for television. Typically, the TV news services set their own requirements for the TV news language, but there are common rules followed by all TV news editors. The linguistic designing defines the light in which the events are presented and what opinion the recipient will form. Result: However, in recent years the demand for mass media texts translation has significantly increased. It was influenced by the distribution of audiovisual international information channels such as Euronews, BBC, France 24, DW. Deutsche Welle TV news which is currently being translated into thirty languages of the world, including Ukrainian. To some degree the translation of Deutsche Welle TV news into Ukrainian influences the level of Ukrainian integration into the European space. Due to a well-executed translation Ukrainians can learn about current political and economic events that take place in Europe and in the world, about the latest achievements in medicine, technology, ecology, sociology, etc. Applications: This research can be used for universities, teachers, and students. Novelty/Originality: In this research, the model of “Deutsche Welle” as a Mass Media Language for Specialist Purposes: Pragmatics, Analysis and Translation is presented in a comprehensive and complete manner

Стаття присвячена одному з нагальних питань сучасної української школи – запровадженню освітньої концепції навчання дітей з особливими освітніми потребами. Проаналізовано досвід країн Європи та США як базових у ході поширення інклюзивної освіти в Україні. Зроблено спробу визначити можливі шляхи подолання проблем, пов'язаних з психологічною та соціальною адаптацією дітей з обмеженими можливостями. Зокрема, розглянуто роль інноваційних методів в когнітивному, фізичному, мовному, соціальному й емоційному розвитку дітей. Значну увагу приділено перевагам інноваційної методики інклюзивного навчання. The article is devoted to one of the urgent issues of the modern Ukrainian school – the introduction of an educational concept of teaching children with special educational needs. The experience of European countries and the USA as the basis in the course of the extension of inclusive education in Ukraine is analyzed. Considerable attention is paid to the advantages of the innovative methods of inclusive education.An attempt has been made to identify possible ways to overcome the problems associated with the psychological and social adaptation of children with disabilities. In particular, the role of innovative methods in cognitive, physical, linguistic, social and emotional development of children is highlighted

Post-Newtonian Theory for Precision Doppler Measurements of Binary Star Orbits

The determination of velocities of stars from precise Doppler measurements is described here using relativistic theory of astronomical reference frames so as to determine the Keplerian and post-Keplerian parameters of binary systems. We apply successive Lorentz transformations and the relativistic equation of light propagation to establish the exact treatment of Doppler effect in binary systems both in special and general relativity theories. As a result, the Doppler shift is a sum of (1) linear in $c^{-1}$ terms, which include the ordinary Doppler effect and its variation due to the secular radial acceleration of the binary with respect to observer; (2) terms proportional to $c^{-2}$, which include the contributions from the quadratic Doppler effect caused by the relative motion of binary star with respect to the Solar system, motion of the particle emitting light and diurnal rotational motion of observer, orbital motion of the star around the binary's barycenter, and orbital motion of the Earth; and (3) terms proportional to $c^{-2}$, which include the contributions from redshifts due to gravitational fields of the star, star's companion, Galaxy, Solar system, and the Earth. After parameterization of the binary's orbit we find that the presence of periodically changing terms in the Doppler schift enables us disentangling different terms and measuring, along with the well known Keplerian parameters of the binary, four additional post-Keplerian parameters, including the inclination angle of the binary's orbit, $i$. We briefly discuss feasibility of practical implementation of these theoretical results, which crucially depends on further progress in the technique of precision Doppler measurements.Comment: Minor changes, 1 Figure included, submitted to Astrophys.

HBD-2 interactions with erythrocyte membranes in vitro

HBD-2 – a member of β-defensin family of antimicrobial peptides – is known to permeabilize cell membranes of susceptible cells, but the mechanism of such interactions is poorly understood. In our study, we have used a hemolytic model to explore the kinetic properties of HBD-2 interactions with membranes of human erythrocytes. We ran hemolytic assays with a wide range of both HBD-2 and erythrocyte concentrations, as well as varying pH values, incubation times, and osmotic strengths; each in the presence or the absence of inhibitory substances such as proteins and salts. The results show that HBD-2 cell membrane permeabilization is both dose- and time-dependent (with plateau effect observed in each case), and inversely dependent on erythrocyte concentration. HBD-2 interactions with cell membranes highly depend on pH value and the presen­ce of inhibitors but are not affected by tested osmotic strength range. Our findings suggest that interactions of HBD-2 with cell membranes are mainly electrostatic in nature and are limited by released cell content. Constraining the properties of delta Scuti stars using spectroscopic eclipsing binary systems

Many stars exhibit stellar pulsations, favoring them for asteroseismic analyses. Interpreting the oscillations requires some knowledge of the oscillation mode geometry (spherical degree, radial and azimuthal orders). The delta Scuti stars (1.5 - 2.5 M_sol) often show just one or few pulsation frequencies. Although this may promise a successful seismological analysis, we may not know enough about either the mode or the star to use the oscillation frequency to improve the determination of the stellar model, or probe the star's structure. For the observed frequencies to be used successfully as seismic probes of these objects, we need to concentrate on stars for which we can reduce the number of free parameters in the problem, such as binary systems or open clusters. We investigate how much our understanding of a delta Scuti star is improved when it is in a detached eclipsing binary system instead of being a single field star. We use singular value decomposition to explore the precision we expect in stellar parameters (mass, age and chemical composition) for both cases. We examine how the parameter uncertainties propagate to the luminosity - effective temperature diagram and determine when the effort of obtaining a new measurement is justified. We show that for the single star, a correct identification of the oscillation mode is necessary to produce strong constraints on the stellar model properties, while for the binary system the observations without the pulsation mode provide the same or better constraints on the stellar parameters. In-the-Gap SU UMa-Type Dwarf Nova, Var73 Dra with a Supercycle of about 60 Days

An intensive photometric-observation campaign of the recently discovered SU UMa-type dwarf nova, Var73 Dra was conducted from 2002 August to 2003 February. We caught three superoutbursts in 2002 October, December and 2003 February. The recurrence cycle of the superoutburst (supercycle) is indicated to be $\sim$60 d, the shortest among the values known so far in SU UMa stars and close to those of ER UMa stars. The superhump periods measured during the first two superoutbursts were 0.104885(93) d, and 0.10623(16) d, respectively. A 0.10424(3)-d periodicity was detected in quiescence. The change rate of the superhump period during the second superoutburst was $1.7\times10^{-3}$, which is an order of magnitude larger than the largest value ever known. Outburst activity has changed from a phase of frequent normal outbursts and infrequent superoutbursts in 2001 to a phase of infrequent normal outbursts and frequent superoutbursts in 2002. Our observations are negative to an idea that this star is an related object to ER UMa stars in terms of the duty cycle of the superoutburst and the recurrence cycle of the normal outburst. Досвід лапароскопічних операцій у хворих на жовчнокам’яну хворобу

У статті узагальнено досвід лікування хворих на жовчнокам’яну хворобу (ЖКХ) та відомості про ускладнення, які вини-кають під час здійснення лапароскопічних операцій. За 18 років (1997–2015) у Центрі виконано 10 849 лапароскопічниххолецистектомій (ЛХЕ). Проведений аналіз результатів операційного лікування 9047 (83,4 %) пацієнтів із хронічнимкалькульозним холециститом (ХКХ) та 1802 (16,6 %) пацієнтів із гострим калькульозним холециститом (ГКХ). Ретро-спективно виконання ЛХЕ у Центрі ми поділили на три періоди: 1997–2002 рр. – освоєння методики ЛХЕ, 2003–2008 рр.– період розширення діапазону ЛХЕ (збільшення кількості хворих із деструктивними формами ГКХ), 2009–2015 рр. –період вдосконалення ЛХЕ та впровадження власних технічних підходів у хворих із ЖКХ, розширення можливостейлапароскопії. Показник інтраопераційних ускладнень загалом за весь дослідний період становив 4,95 %, за періодамицей показник був 9,4 %; 5,1 %; 1,2 %. Загальна частота післяопераційних ускладнень склала 1,16 %, за періодами –2,19 %; 1,08 %; 0,38 %. Післяопераційна летальність становила 0,04 % (4 хворих) та виникла у перші два періоди. У242 (5,19 %) пацієнтів виконано симультанні операції. Серед проведених ЛХЕ повністю лапароскопічно симультанніоперації було виконано в 70 (28,9 %) пацієнтів. 130 (53,7 %) хворих перенесли симультанні комбіновані лапароскопічніоперації на органах черевної порожнини, 42 (17,4 %) пацієнти перенесли симультанні поєднані операції, які покращилибезпосередні та віддалені результати хірургічного лікування хворих. Середній термін лікування хворих після ЛХЕ завесь період спостереження склав (3,27±0,81) дня, до операції – (0,83±0,33) дня

Посібник спрямований допомогти студентам у повторенні вивченого лексичного та граматичного матеріалу та перевірити рівень їхньої загальної іншомовної комунікативної компетенції. Завдання складені з урахуванням обсягу матеріалу, вимог до знань і вмінь студентів ІІІ курсу факультетів історії, політології та національної безпеки, культури і мистецтв, педагогічної освіти та соціальної роботи, філології та журналістики, юридичного факультету, передбачених програмами. Тести включають завдання, які розподілені на три рівні відповідно до ступеня їх складності. Змістове наповнення першого та другого рівнів складається з тестів, які відповідають таким граматичним темам: часові форми активного і пасивного станів, пряма/непряма мова, узгодження часів, інфінітив, герундій. Тести третього рівня утворюють лексичні завдання, які відповідають навчальним програмам дисципліни «Іноземна мова (за професійним спрямуванням)» для факультетів історії, політології та національної безпеки, культури і мистецтв, педагогічної освіти та соціальної роботи, філології та журналістики, юридичного факультету, та складені згідно з вимогами програми Зовнішнього Незалежного Оцінювання для вступу до магістратури (Multiple Choice Questions, Filling in the Gaps, Definitions, Use of English).
