    PRODUK INOVASI HAND SANITIZER DARI AKAR BAJAKAH SEBAGAI UPAYA PENCEGAHAN DI MASA PANDEMI COVID-19

    Wabah virus corona belakangan ini telah menyebar ke berbagai penjuru dunia. World Health Organization (WHO) telah menyatakan bahwa COVID-19 sebagai pandemi global. Penyebaran covid-19 di Kalimantan Selatan berdasarkan data dari Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan pada tanggal 12 April 2020 terdapat 1.184 Orang Dalam Pemantauan (ODP), 15 Pasien Dalam Pengawasan (PDP), dan 34 pasien positif covid-19 diantaranya ada 28 PDP, 4 pasien yang meninggal dan 2 pasien yang dinyatakan sembuh. Berdasarkan data tersebut kota Banjarmasin melaporkan ada sebanyak 232 ODP, 7 PDP, 14 pasien positif covid-19 sedang dalam perawatan dan 3 pasien meninggal. Hand Sanitizer digunakan sebagai salah satu alternatif jika tidak ditemukannya air untuk melakukan cuci tangan dalam rangka pencegahan dari virus corona. Produk hand sanitizer juga sangat dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat untuk bagian upaya dari menghindarkan paparan virus corona. Kurangnya ketersediaan hand sanitizer di pasaran dan meningkatnya harga jual hand sanitizer membuat masyarakat kesulitan mendapatkan dan sulit untuk membeli. Maka atas dasar tersebut, membuat produk inovaso hand sanitizer menggunakan bahan aktif dari bahan alam khas Kalimantan berupa akar bajakah (Littoralis hask) yang berfungsi untuk menghambat pertumbuhan virus dan bakteri. Serta pembagian produk dan langkah edukasi kepada masyarakat di tengah terjadinya pandemi virus corona. Kata kunci: Produk inovasi, Hand sanitizer, Akar bajakah, Covid-19 ABSTRACT The corona virus outbreak has recently spread to various parts of the world. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared COVID-19 as a global pandemic. The infection number in South Kalimantan on April 12nd, 2020 were 1,184 people under monitoring (ODP), 15 patients under surveillance (PDP), and 34 positive patients for Covid-19, of whom 28 were PDP, 4 patients who died and 2 patients who were declared cured. Based on these data, the city of Banjarmasin reported that there were 232 ODP, 7 PDP, 14 positive patients with Covid-19 were being treated and 3 patients died. Hand Sanitizer is used as an alternative if water is not found for washing hands in order to prevent the corona virus. Hand sanitizer products are also very much needed by the community as part of the effort to avoid exposure to the corona virus. Lack of availability of hand sanitizers on the market and the increasing selling price of hand sanitizers have made it difficult for people to find and buy. So on this basis, making innovative hand sanitizer products uses active ingredients from natural ingredients typical of Kalimantan in the form of Bajakah roots (Littoralis hask) which functions to inhibit the growth of viruses and bacteria.     Sosialisasi Permainan Egrang Batok Kelapa Kepada Anak-Anak di Desa Suka Datang

    Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan di Desa Suka Datang, Kecamatan Curup Utara, Kabupaten Rejang Lebong. Penerapan ini dilakukan pada bulan April-Mei 2021. Peserta kegiatan ini terdiri dari 25 anak. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan dengan frekuensi sebanyak 2 kali dalam 4 minggu, dan kegiatan dilakukan dengan waktu 120 menit setiap pertemuan. Metode yang ditempuh untuk melaksanakan kegiatan ini adalah ceramah, demonstrasi, dan pendampingan. Berdasarkan hasil pengabdian diketahui bahwa pada indikator pengetahuan terjadi peningkatan dari 20% menjadi 70%, pada indikator aktivitas fisik terjadi peningkatan dari 50% menjadi 75%, sedangkan pada indikator kerjasama juga mengalami peningtana dari 30% menjadi 80%. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sosialisasi permanainan Egrang Batok Kelapa mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan, aktivitas fisik, dan kerjasama pada anak-anak di desa Suka Datang, Kecamatan Curup Utara, Kabupaten Rejang Lebong

    IMPLEMENTASI EDUKASI MULTI PERSPEKTIF PADA REMAJA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PENGETAHUAN DAN MINAT VAKSINASI COVID-19

    Abstrak: Survei penerimaan vaksin pada bulan September 2020 menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 27% masyarakat masih ragu untuk berpartisipasi dalam vaksinasi dan sekitar 8% yang menyatakan menolak. Hasil survei juga menunjukkan bahwa mereka yang memiliki informasi tentang vaksinasi COVID-19 cenderung lebih menerima vaksinasi COVID-19. COVID-19 masalah utama yang kerap ditemui di masyarakat adalah minimnya sosialisasi dan edukasi mengenai vaksinasi. Permasalahan tersebut dapat diselesaikan dengan memberikan sosialisasi, edukasi, serta informasi yang jelas dan benar terkait vaksin COVID-19. Hal ini pula yang dilakukan kepada para 60 siswa SMAN 3 Banjarmasin. Kegiatan ini didahului dengan pemberian pretest untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman responden. Berdasarkan hasil pretest tersebut, materi presentasi dibuat untuk mengisi gap informasi. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan pemberian postest untuk melihat perubahan pengetahuan dari responden. Melalui kegiatan edukasi dari multi perspektif (Sediaan Farmasi, yakni vaksin; Kesehatan; dan Peraturan), terjadi peningkatan minat vaksinasi yang signifikan, menjadi 94,1%.Abstract: The vaccine acceptance survey in September 2020 showed that around 27% of the public still hesitated to participate in vaccination and about 8% said they refused. The survey results also show that those who have information about COVID-19 vaccinations are more likely to receive COVID-19 vaccinations. The main problem that is often encountered in the community is the lack of socialization and education regarding vaccination. These problems can be solved by providing socialization, education, and clear and correct information regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. This was also done to 60 students of SMAN 3 Banjarmasin. This activity was preceded by giving a pretest to measure the level of understanding of respondents. Based on the results of the pretest, presentation materials were made to fill the information gap. Evaluation is carried out by giving posttest to review the knowledge of the respondents. Through educational activities from multiple perspectives (Vaccines; Health; and Regulations), there was a significant increase in vaccination interest to 94.1%

    Aktivitas Antiinflamasi Ekstrak Kayu Bajakah (Spatholobus littoralis Hask)

    Bajakah wood (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk) is a native plant of Kalimantan which is widely used by the community to treat diarrhea, dysentery, aches, and pains, wound medicine and is even believed to be a cancer drug. Research on this plant is still very limited. The content of flavonoids is thought to act as an anti-inflammatory. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Kayu Bajakah (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk) as an anti-inflammatory in male rats induced by carrageenin. The method used in this study was an experimental method using 21 male white rats aged 2-3 months weighing 150-250 grams which were divided into 7 groups, namely the normal group, the CMC Na group, the diclofenac sodium group 1.35 mg/day. 200 g BW and 4 doses of Kayu Bajakah ethanol extract: 50, 100, 200, and 400 mg/kg BW orally. Fifteen minutes after treatment, mice were injected with 1% carrageenin subplantar. The volume of edema was measured with a plestimometer every 60 minutes for 4 hours. Anti-inflammatory was measured by comparing the percentage value of edema inhibition in the control and treatment groups. The results showed that the four treatment groups had a significantly different total volume of edema at 240' minutes with a significance value less than 0.05. The greatest anti-inflammatory effect was at a dose of 400 mg/kg BW at the 240th minute with a percentage of 87.65%.     PENINGKATAN KEWASPADAAN COVID 19 MELALUI EDUKASI DAN BERBAGI PENGALAMAN

    The increase in covid-19 cases in the community, especially in South Kalimantan, attacks all age groups, including teenagers. The penetration of the health protocol campaign is still lacking in increasing public awareness so that they could take an active role in implementing health protocols for themselves and everyone around. Therefore, there is a need for another approach in a more flexible format for the community, especially teenagers, in sharing experiences from covid-19 survivors, as well as the need for a comprehensive understanding of the impact of covid-19 on individuals and families. The campaign must continue to be innovative and consistent. Teenagers become objects of community service due to the high intensity of internet use in social media so that they can provide positive information to their surroundings. This program aims to increase awareness of covid 19 through education and sharing experiences from covid-19 survivors in a format adapted to the character of partners. The method used is a survey of partner conditions, implementation of activities, and evaluation of activities. This activity results in a significant increase in partner knowledge regarding covid-19. --- Peningkatan kasus Covid-19 di masyarakat, terutama Kalimantan Selatan menyerang semua lini usia, termasuk remaja. Penetrasi kampanye protokol kesehatan dirasa masih kurang meningkatkan kepedulian masyarakat agar berperan aktif dalam menerapkan protokol kesehatan bagi diri dan orang sekitarnya. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya pendekatan lain dalam format yang lebih santai kepada masyarakat terutama remaja dalam berbagi pengalaman dari penyintas Covid-19, serta butuhnya pemahaman komprehensif mengenai dampak penyakit Covid-19 bagi pribadi ataupun keluarga. Kampanye harus terus dilakukan secara inovatif dan konsisten. Remaja menjadi objek pengabdian kepada masyarakat dikarenakan tingginya intensitas penggunaan internet dalam bermedia sosial, sehingga dapat memberikan informasi positif kepada sekitarnya. Tujuan dari program ini adalah meningkatkan kewaspadaan Covid-19 melalui edukasi dan berbagi pengalaman dari penyintas Covid-19 dengan format yang disesuaikan dengan karakter mitra. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei kondisi mitra, pelaksanaan kegiatan, dan evaluasi kegiatan.     The high number of deaths from cardiovascular disease in the world makes cardiovascular drugs, such as antihyperlipidemic or dyslipidemia often used by patients in the whole world. Statins are first-line drugs that are often used, but have various side effects, such as myalgia, rhabdomyolysis, and are considered to trigger diabetes mellitus. Meanwhile, the use of traditional medicines such as the Temu mangga’s rhizome (Curcuma mangga Valeton and Zijp) is often used by the community as antihyperlipidemic therapy. The purpose of this study was to scientifically prove the antihyperlipidemic activity of teabags from the methanol fraction of Temu Mangga’s rhizome in reducing lipid profiles, namely total cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL, as well as increasing HDL. This research method is experimental by measuring the parameters of total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL, and HDL as well as the bodyweight of the test animals as additional parameters. The test group was divided into 3 doses, namely 0.35 mg, 0.7 mg, and 1.4 mg per 200 grams of test animals. The results showed that there was no significant difference between all groups, both in lipid profile and bodyweight of the test animals. However, a dose of 1.4 mg had better triglyceride lowering activity than the positive control, and the activity of the methanol fraction of the Temu Mangga’s rhizome was predicted to be similar to statins

    Bajakah wood (Spatholobus Littoralisk Hask) is empirically used by the community to treat stomach pain, diarrhea and is even believed to be able to treat cancer. Several studies have shown its activity as an antibacterial. The purpose of this study was to identify compounds with antibacterial properties using Gas Chromatography Mass Spectroscopy (GCMS). The method used in this research is the experimental method. Bajakah plants were obtained from seven different areas, then extracted and fractionated. The fraction identified in this study was the n-hexan fraction. Preliminary tests were carried out using thin layer chromatography (TLC) bioautography for compounds that have the potential as antibacterial. Compounds in the n-Hexan fraction were further identified using Gass Chromatography Mass Spectroscopy (GCMS). The results showed Bajakah wood from seven regions had antibacterial activity seen from the formation of inhibition zones on compound spots on TLC that had been planted in agar media. There are 23 types of compounds identified by GCMS in this n-hexan fraction. In this study, the dominant compound seen from the largest area was Stigmast-5-en-3-ol, (3.beta.,24S)- (CAS) Clionaster (26.74%). The results of TLC bioautography of the n-Hexan fraction showed antibacterial activity and the dominant compound was Stigmast-5-en-3-ol, (3.beta.,24S)- (CAS) Clionaster

    Various studies investigated the use of video material in the English classroom. Several studies also observed the effectiveness of asynchronous learning, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, there are limited studies discussing the utilization of video material in asynchronous learning. This is quantitative research designed as a survey to obtain students’ perception of the utilization of video material in English asynchronous learning. This research points out that the students have a positive response to the utilization of video material in English asynchronous learning. They are convinced that English asynchronous learning with video is fun, efficient, effective, enjoyable, and easier to learn. The result also shows that the utilization of video material in English asynchronous learning has several benefits: it increases students’ comprehension of the learning material, increases students’ learning motivation, and helps the students enhance their vocabulary.     Statins are first-line drugs that are often used in the treatment of cardiovascular disease. It is noted that statins have various side effects, such as myalgia, rhabdomyolysis, and are considered to trigger diabetes mellitus. Meanwhile, the use of natural ingredients such as the rhizome of Intersection mango (Curcuma mango Valeton and Zijp) is often used empirically by the community in the treatment of dyslipidemia. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of anti-dyslipidemia and the dose of ethyl acetate extract of the temu mango rhizome which was effective as anti-dyslipidemia. This research method is a true experimental design with a pre-post test with control group on test animals with 5 test groups induced by cooking oil for 14 days, then given treatment for 14 days. Measurement of total cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL, and HDL parameters as well as body weight of test animals as additional parameters. The test group was divided into 3 doses, namely 90 mg, 180 mg, and 360 mg per 200 grams of test animals. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the extract groups, both in lipid profile and body weight of the test animals. However, a dose of 360 mg had the best activity, being able to lower cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL, but was able to increase HDL levels
