Kesiapan Standar Nasional Indonesia (Sni) Produk Prioritas Menghadapi Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (Mea)
The ASEAN countries agreed on the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in January 2007 when the ASEAN Summit session, based on three pillars; Political, Economic and Social Culture. On 2015 imposed trade area AEC, in particular 12 priority sectors with a clear and transparent policy. Special priority criteria are the Product Working Group has International standards and agreements in the ASEAN members state, it is ASEAN Agreed Version Standards (AAS), the results are 4 specific sectors of electrical and electronic equipment, rubber based products, wood based products and medical devices. The purpose of the reserach is identifying the readiness of the Indonesian National Standard specific sectors and programs harmonization with International standards agreement in ASEAN countries. Readiness SNI using questionnaire data and field interviews, analysis of the data using categories and grouping. The research results of SNI readiness towards harmonization AAS, with SNI categories harmonized with AAS, adopted identical or modification is 39% of the 288 AAS. SNI readiness sectors: electrical and electronic equipment 42.8%, wood-based products 62%, rubber-based products 38% and 3% of medical devices. Third comparator countries: Singapore, Lao PDR and Myanmar demonstrate the readiness of national standards is quite low but the country has adopted a policy of AAS. National Standardization Agency of Indonesia has conducted a program to increase the readiness of SNI to be harmonized with AAS through the National Program Standards Formulation produce Indonesian National Standard Draft. The Government shall support the implementation of AEC related standards and conformity assessment through an increased number of mandatory regulation and supervision SNI. Recommendations to the regulator is necessary to increase the readiness of SNI through harmonization program with AAS and increased development of SNI to harmonized with AAS
Accounting students and communication apprehension: a study of Spanish and UK students
Accounting is about measuring and communicating. Accounting bodies and employers have expressed opinions, which have been supported by research results, advocating that greater emphasis is placed on the development of communication skills throughout the education and training of accountants. Consequently, an increasing number of accounting programmes now include communication skills as educational objectives or learning outcomes, and have integrated activities into the curriculum specifically to develop these skills. It is important to recognise that certain factors can severely restrict the development of communication skills; a major factor is communication apprehension. Research suggests that the existence of high levels of communication apprehension will make efforts to improve communication skills ineffective. Previous research findings indicate that accounting students have high levels of communication apprehension. This paper compares and contrasts the levels and profiles of communication apprehension exhibited by accounting students at the (UK University) and those at the (ESP University). The levels of communication apprehension are also compared with those of students from other disciplines at the same institutions. The results confirm the high levels of communication apprehension in European accounting students. There are notable differences between the two countries however in certain underlying factors.</p
HAKIKAT HIDUP MANUSIA DENGAN SESAMANYA DALAM TEMBANG MACAPAT
The goal in this study to determine the nature of human life in song Macapat. In this research is descriptive analytical method. Descriptive analytical method performed by describing the facts that exist in macapat, which is then followed by analysis. The object of this study is the book written by Sukatmi Susantina Song Macapat publication year, which included a song Mijil, Sinom, Maskumambang, Asmarandana, Dhandhanggula, Kinanthi, Gambuh, Durma, pickaxe, Magetruh, and Pocung. The song uses the Java language. The results showed that every human being with another human being should have a caring attitude and encourage one another. A nature that underlie the merits of Java man rooted in the Quran and Hadith. Through this analysis is expected in the Java community in particular can foster a caring attitude towards fellow human beings and appreciate the heritage of ancestors, especially closer to Allah SWT
Distinct mitochondrial remodeling during mesoderm differentiation in a human-based stem cell model
Funding: This work was supported by grants from The Research Council of Norway (NFR, Project No. 229652), Bergen Stem Cell Consortium (BSCC), Haukeland University Hospital, University of Bergen, and the Rakel og Otto-Kristian Bruun’s Legat. This work was also supported by the Research Council of Norway through its Centre of 248 Excellence Scheme (Project No. 262613).Given the considerable interest in using stem cells for modeling and treating disease, it is essential to understand what regulates self-renewal and differentiation. Remodeling of mitochondria and metabolism, with the shift from glycolysis to oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS), plays a fundamental role in maintaining pluripotency and stem cell fate. It has been suggested that the metabolic “switch” from glycolysis to OXPHOS is germ layer-specific as glycolysis remains active during early ectoderm commitment but is downregulated during the transition to mesoderm and endoderm lineages. How mitochondria adapt during these metabolic changes and whether mitochondria remodeling is tissue specific remain unclear. Here, we address the question of mitochondrial adaptation by examining the differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells to cardiac progenitors and further to differentiated mesodermal derivatives, including functional cardiomyocytes. In contrast to recent findings in neuronal differentiation, we found that mitochondrial content decreases continuously during mesoderm differentiation, despite increased mitochondrial activity and higher levels of ATP-linked respiration. Thus, our work highlights similarities in mitochondrial remodeling during the transition from pluripotent to multipotent state in ectodermal and mesodermal lineages, while at the same time demonstrating cell-lineage-specific adaptations upon further differentiation. Our results improve the understanding of how mitochondrial remodeling and the metabolism interact during mesoderm differentiation and show that it is erroneous to assume that increased OXPHOS activity during differentiation requires a simultaneous expansion of mitochondrial content.Peer reviewe
Indigenous and Community Conserved Areas (ICCA) and the Batak Cultural Minorities of Northern Palawan, Philippines
This nascent study examines the current state of the Batak indigenous people in So. Tinitian, Brgy. Tagnipa, Roxas, Palawan as they engage with external institutions in the process of ICCA declaration of their ancestral domain in the midst that legal land and resources rights recognition had been elusive in the past[1]. The Batak indigenous people are termed a
Report on the Second Workshop on Supporting Complex Search Tasks
There is broad consensus in the field of IR that search is complex in many use cases and
applications, both on the Web and in domain-specific collections, and both in our professional and in our daily life. Yet our understanding of complex search tasks, in comparison
to simple look up tasks, is fragmented at best. The workshop addressed many open research
questions: What are the obvious use cases and applications of complex search? What are
essential features of work tasks and search tasks to take into account? And how do these
evolve over time? With a multitude of information, varying from introductory to specialized,
and from authoritative to speculative or opinionated, when should which sources of information be shown? How does the information seeking process evolve and what are relevant
differences between different stages? With complex task and search process management,
blending searching, browsing, and recommendations, and supporting exploratory search to
sensemaking and analytics, UI and UX design pose an overconstrained challenge. How do
we know that our approach is any good? Supporting complex search tasks requires new
collaborations across the whole field of IR, and the proposed workshop brought together a
diverse group of researchers to work together on one of the greatest challenges of our field.
The workshop featured three main elements. First, two keynotes, one on the complexity
of meaningful interactive IR evaluation by Mark Hall and one on the types of search complexity encountered in real-world applications by Jussi Karlgren. Second, a lively boaster
and poster session in which seven contributed papers were presented. Third, three breakout
groups discussed concrete ideas on: (1) search context and tasks, (2) search process, and (3)
evaluation of complex search tasks. There was an general feeling that the discussion made
progress, and built new connections between related strands of research in IR
Obesity-inducing hypothalamic knife cuts: effects on lipolysis and blood insulin levels
The effect of two experimental manipulations designed to mobilize lipids from adipose tissue have been investigated in rats with parasagittal knife cuts in the ventromedial hypothalamus (VMH). Those animals which displayed hyperphagia during the initial 5 days VMH knife cuts were then restricted in food intake to reduce body weights to levels comparable to that of the sham-operated controls. Two weeks following the knife-cut lesions, or sham operations, animals in the first experiment were exposed to the cold for 60 min, and those in the second experiment were injected with 2-deoxy-D-glucose (2-DG). The injections of 2-DG increased the level of glycerol in the control animals but not in the animals with VMH knife cuts. Both groups showed a rise in glucose. Plasma insulin and triglycerides were the same in both groups. Exposure to the cold increased the level of glycerol in both groups. The insulin levels were lower in the corresponding groups with knife cuts. These studies show that VMH knife cuts do not produce hyperinsulinemia in pair-gained rats. </jats:p
Awareness of Female Cancer Patients about the Risk of Impaired Fertility
Purpose: To evaluate awareness of female cancer patients about fertility impairment following cancer treatment. Patients and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in Imam Hossein Hospital between March 2014 and July 2015. Women of childbearing age with cancer who were treated in an oncology clinic and referred for follow-up were asked to fill out the questionnaire designed for this purpose. The process of filling out the questionnaire was managed by a resident of clinical oncology during patient interviews. Results: Two hundred forty-seven patients with mean age of 35.5 years were included. The most common cancers were breast cancer (61.9) and gynecologic cancer (10.9). Among all patients, 22.7 had received information about infertility risk. The likelihood that women would have received information about fertility varied by cancer type. Among women with gynecologic cancers, only 59.3 had received information about the effects of treatment on fertility despite having cancers of the reproductive system. Moreover, 19.6 of women with breast cancer and 18.5 of those with other cancers had received fertility information (p < 0.001). Significance of Results: Knowledge and awareness of female cancer patients of childbearing age about the impact of cancer treatment on fertility and fertility preservation are limited. A structured program is required to provide complete information regarding the risk of fertility impairment following cancer treatment and increase the knowledge of these patients to enable them to make a proper decision about fertility preservation. © Copyright 2019, Mary Ann Liebert, Inc., publishers 2019
