The following article lays out the main poetic postulates of the testimonial narrative through the reading of the new metaphoric configurations that organise memories in conflict: the tales of war and the heroic accounts of revolutionary defeats. It historicises the first conceptual developments of the genre and its veracity protocols anchored in the familism of the first testimonial accounts, very close to the legal discourse. Likewise, it exposes the rhetoric breakdowns imprinted on the genre by the new testimonial poetics, as organised in Argentina mainly by the narratives of Laura Alcoba and Federico Lorenz. The reading of the work of both authors allows us to further explorations on the concepts of «short-story» (Ludmer, 1977; Nofal, 2010) and «revolutionary wardrobe» inscribed in the most recent testimonial writings. Key words: Testimonial narrative; New metaphoric configurations; Memories in conflict; War

Utility of 2-cyano-3-phenyl-2-propenoyl chloride as Michael’s acceptor in heterocyclic synthesis with mono- and bi-dentate nucleophiles

    (E) 2-Cyano-3-phenyl-2-propenoyl chloride reacts with nitrogen, oxygen and sulphur mono- and bi-dentate nucleophilic reagents to give the amide derivatives, the ester derivatives, as well as some heterocyclic systems, namely quinazolinone, pyridopyrimidine and benzothiazepine. Cyclization of some obtained amides affords the benzoxazinones, quinazolinone, whereas that of other amides yields oxadiazole and benzoxazole, respectively

Politics and Creative Writry: Conrad\u27s Nostromo and The Secret Agent & Warren\u27s All the king\u27s Men

All through this paper, some three core texts are made use of ; namely, Joseph Conrad\u27s Nostromo (1904) and The Secret Agent (1907), and Robert Warren\u27s All the king\u27s Men(1946). However, the discussion is by no means confined to these three works; a broader outlook is in fact required to cope with thedifferent aspects that relate to are search of this kind. This is perhaps why the present paper will have to go beyond the core texts and attempt to find elsewhere other salient points that can meaningfully add to the main ideas contained in the research

PCSK9 inhibitors as a therapy for hypercholesterolemia

The recent discovery of proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 as a protein that increases LDL-cholesterol has lead researchers to investigate it as a target for cholesterol-lowering medication. New options for cholesterol-lowering therapies are of particular importance for individuals, such as those with familial hypercholesterolemia and statin intolerance, who are unable to achieve recommended values through other means. Currently, two monoclonal antibodies inhibiting PCSK9 are approved for use; these monoclonal antibodies work well in conjunction with other medications for hypercholesterolemia, such as statins or ezetimibe, and are equivalent in efficacy with high dose statins. Investigation of PCSK9 inhibitors through siRNA may provide additional mechanisms for lowering cholesterol in the future

Memorias montoneras.

The author presents an analysis of Sergio Pollastri’s novel from the critical perspective of the possibilities and impossibilities of the reconstruction of a story, from this testimonial account that is conducted in the territory of violence and weapons (the political militancy) and in there alm of subjectivity (poetry, fiction). It stresses the links between life and literature, which are present throughout the entire novel; therefore, it appeals to metaphor in order to refer to two types of silence in the fictions about revolutionary violence: the option for weapons and the divulgation of information under torture. It highlights the role of the metaphor in this text thats tretches the testimonial gender to its limits, and which gains more force towards the end «The revolution is fragile and superficial as a violet; that which the comparison develops is at the same time what muffles the fall of the brutal leap to the empty space with which the novel ends its enunciation».Fil: Nofal, Silvia Rossana. Fil: Nofal, Silvia Rossana. Simple equation method for nonlinear partial differential equations and its applications

    Get PDF
AbstractIn this article, we focus on the exact solution of the some nonlinear partial differential equations (NLPDEs) such as, Kodomtsev–Petviashvili (KP) equation, the (2+1)-dimensional breaking soliton equation and the modified generalized Vakhnenko equation by using the simple equation method. In the simple equation method the trial condition is the Bernoulli equation or the Riccati equation. It has been shown that the method provides a powerful mathematical tool for solving nonlinear wave equations in mathematical physics and engineering problems
