    Get PDF
The objective of this work was to determine the wear resistance of layers hard faced by the high-alloyed filler metal, with or without the austenite inter-layer, on parts that operate at different sliding speeds in conditions without lubrication. The samples were hard faced with the filler metal E 10-UM-60-C with high content of C, Cr and W. Used filler metal belongs into group of alloys aimed for reparatory hard facing of parts damaged by abrasive and erosive wear and it is characterized by high hardness and wear resistance. In experiments, the sliding speed and the normal loading were varied and the wear scar was monitored, based on which the volume of the worn material was calculated analytically. The contact duration time was monitored over the sliding path of 300 mm. The most intensive wear was established for the loading force of 100 N and the sliding speed of 1 m.s-1, though the significant wear was also noticed in conditions of the small loading and speed of 0.25 m.s-1, which was even greater that at larger speeds.

    Get PDF
In the last two decades, the liberalization of the electricity markets have been established in order to increase efficiency, harmonize and reduce electricity prices, make a better use of resources, give customers the right to choose their supplier and provide customers with a better service. This change made the electricity market competitive and introduced several new subjects. In this paper, we study one of these subjects: Electricity Trading Company (ETC) and its daily trading process. We present a linear mathematical model of total daily profit maximization subject to flow constraints. It is assumed that the demand and supply are known and some of them are arranged. Possible transmission capacities are known but also additional capacities can be purchased. All trading, transmission prices and amounts are subject of auctions. First, we present energy trading problem as directed multiple-source and multiple-sink network and then model it using linear programming. Also, we provide one realistic example which is slightly changed in order to save confidentiality of the given data

Optimal welding technology of high strength steel S690QL

    Get PDF
In this paper is presented the detailed procedure for defining the optimal technology for welding the structures made of the high strength steel S690QL. That steel belongs into a group of steels with exceptional mechanical properties. The most prominent properties are the high tensile strength and impact toughness, at room and at elevated temperatures, as well. However, this steel has a negative characteristic - proneness to appearance of cold cracks.  That impedes welding and makes as an imperative to study different aspects of this steel's properties as well as those of eventual filler metal. Selection and defining of the optimal welding technology of this high strength steel is done for the purpose of preserving the favorable mechanical properties once the welded joint is realized; properties of the welded metal and the melting zone, as well as in the heat affected zone, which is the most critical zone of the welded joint

Application of the S690QL class steels in responsible welded structures

    Get PDF
In this paper are considered the most important properties of a special class of high strength steels S690QL, which can be classified into the group of special low alloyed steels. The high strength steels belong into a group of high quality steels. They possess exceptional mechanical properties, especially tensile strength and toughness. Those favorable properties are being achieved by application of special procedures of thermo-mechanical processing and simultaneous alloying with adequate elements. The advantages that the S690QL steels have with respect to other steels are being presented here. However, possibilities for application of those steels in responsible welded structures are limited due to their only relatively good weldability.  The special procedures for improving it are discussed here, primarily preheating, controlled heat input during welding and additional heat treatment of the welded joint

Da li holesterol vezan za hemoglobin utiče na anti-oksidativni enzimski sistem u humanim eritrocitima?

In a previous study, it was shown that the lipid fraction, which is occasionally observed in red blood cell hemolysates, represents cholesterol (Ch) associated with phospholipid firmly bound to haemoglobin (termed Hb-Ch). The current study was conducted to investigate whether Hb-Ch could affect the primary anti-oxidant enzyme defence system in human erythrocytes. Sixty healthy volunteers were used for the current study. Group 1 consisted of 28 subjects without or with a low level of Hb-Ch. Group 2 comprised 32 subjects with a considerably higher level of Hb-Ch. The activities of erythrocyte superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase and glutathione reductase, as well as the content of methaemoglobin (metHb) were measured in both groups. The results indicated that the amount of Hb-Ch neither influenced the activities of the erythrocyte anti-oxidant enzymes nor altered the level of metHb. However, a higher amount of Hb-Ch changed the correlations in the part of the anti-oxidant defence system relating to glutathione, suggesting increased peroxidative pressure from plasma lipids. Group 2 also had significantly increased concentrations of total plasma Ch and triglycerides. Together, these facts are strong indications that the anti-oxidant defence system in human erythrocytes finely retunes its composition according to plasma oxidative demands.U prethodnom radu pokazano je da lipidna frakcija koja se javlja u hemolizatu zdravih ljudi predstavlja holesterol (asosovan sa fosfolipidima) čvrsto vezan za hemoglobin (Hb-Ch).

ONE-YEAR CARDIOVASCULAR OUTCOME IN PATIENTS ON CLOPIDOGREL ANTI-PLATELET THERAPY AFTER ACUTE MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION

The aim of this study was to determine the risk factors in patients on clopidogrel anti-platelet therapy after acute myocardial infarction, for cardiovascular mortality, re-hospitalization and admission to emergency care unit. We followed 175 patients on dual antiplatelet therapy, with clopidogrel and acetylsalicylic acid, for 1 year after acute myocardial infarction, both STEMI and NSTEMI. Beside demographic and clinical characteristics, genetic ABCB1, CYP2C19 and CYP2C9 profile was analyzed using Cox-regression analysis. End-points used were: mortality, re-hospitalization and emergency care visits, all related to cardiovascular system. During the accrual and follow-up period, 8 patients (4.6%) died, mostly as a direct consequence of an acute myocardial infarction. Re-hospitalization was needed in 27 patients (15.4%), in nine patients (33.3%) with the diagnosis of re-infarction. Thirty-two patients (18.3%) were admitted to emergency care unit due to cardiovascular causes, up to 15 times during the follow-up. NSTEMI was an independent predictor of all three events registered (mortality OR=7.4, p<0.05; re-hospitalization OR=2.8, p<0.05); emergency care visit OR=2.4, p<0.05). Other significant predictors were related to kidney function (urea and creatinine level, creatinine clearance), co-morbidities such as arterial hypertension and decreased left ventricular ejection fraction, as well as clopidogrel dosing regimen. As a conclusion, it may be suggested that one of the most significant predictors of cardiovascular events (mortality, re-hospitalization and emergency care visits) is NSTEMI. Besides, clopidogrel administration according to up-to-date guidelines, with high loading doses and initial doubled maintenance doses, improves 1-year prognosis in patients with AMI
