On the possibility of applying the quasi-isothermal St\"ackel's model to our Galaxy

An earlier derived quasi-isothermal St\"ackel's model of mass distribution in stellar systems and the corresponding formula for space density are applied to our Galaxy. The model rotation curve is fitted to HI kinematical data. The structural and scale parameters of the model are estimated and the corresponding density contours for our Galaxy are presented.Comment: 7 pages, 3 figures. Full text link
For non-zero \ell values, we present an analytical solution of the radial Schr\"{o}dinger equation for the rotating Morse potential using the Pekeris approximation within the framework of the Asymptotic Iteration Method. The bound state energy eigenvalues and corresponding wave functions are obtained for a number of diatomic molecules and the results are compared with the findings of the super-symmetry, the hypervirial perturbation, the Nikiforov-Uvarov, the variational, the shifted 1/N and the modified shifted 1/N expansion methods.Comment: 15 pages with 1 eps figure. accepted for publication in Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and Genera

In this work, degradation of the anthraquinonic dye Acid Blue 25 by non-thermal plasma at atmospheric pressure with and without photocatalyst is investigated. Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is used as a photocatalyst. The dye degradation by plasma in the presence of TiO2 is investigated as a function of TiO2 concentration, dye concentration and pH. The degradation rate is higher in acidic solutions with pH of 2 to 4.3, especially at pH 2, and decreases to 0.38 mg L-1 min(-1) with the increase of pH from 2 to 5.65. A similar effect is observed in basic media, where a higher degradation rate is found at pH = 10.3. The degradation rate increases in the presence of TiO2 compared to the discharge without photocatalysis. The results show that the degradation of the dye increases in the presence of TiO2 until the catalyst load reaches 0.5 g L-1 after which the suppression of AB25 degradation is observed. The results indicate that the tested advanced oxidation processes are very effective for the degradation of AB25 in aqueous solutions

    Professional Responsibility of Labor Subjects

The problem of the labor subjects’ responsibility is a challenging issue in the unstable conditions of the nowadays world and business. Within the organizational context, the professional responsibility is a regulator of the performance of assigned duties at work places, a standard of compliance with a job position or with the corporate culture requirements. А.R. Luria noted that the labor is the conscious development product of a subject, which means that restricting an employee to a job position or corporate standards may impoverish both an organization and its members. In this regard, the corporate and professional responsibility may have different consequences of the manifestation of the subjective position in solving complicated production tasks. This study proposes an integrated analysis of the professional responsibility of the labor subjects through three interrelated contexts: personal, cultural and activity-related; depending on the intensity level of these components, the labor subjects have a different level of professional responsibility. The purpose of this study is to analyze the specific features of the professional responsibility of employees in a Russian construction company depending on the axiological and situational determinants (159 people, the average age of therespondents is 36 years). Results: 1. A methodology was developed and tested that allowed identifying the situational determinants of professional responsibility (conceptions of the organizational reality in three temporal loci - past, present and future). 2. The leading role of the cognitive component is confirmed in the formation of the managerial type of responsibility. It is proved that this responsibility component is largely determined by situational characteristics: the conceptions of the professional and personal resources of the collective and the assessment of organizational reality. 3. The types of professional responsibility and their determinants are defined. Thus, the representatives of the impulsive and executive types are ”responsibility objects” (personal context), the carriers of the egocentric culture of professional responsibility (cultural context) and the incoherence of temporal loci. As opposedto them, the managerial type of responsibility is determined by the internal personal orientation (is an active subject) taking responsibility not only for oneself, but also for others (includes others in the culture of professional responsibility), as well as the ability for strategic thinking (which is manifested in consideration, at the same time, for the professional and organizational aspects of the past, present and future in the activities). The results obtained make the understanding of the professional responsibility mechanisms wider, allow developing managerial technologies to provide the personnel quality taking into consideration the professional responsibility and its dynamic multilevel nature; empirically substantiated is the significance of the cognitive component of responsibility (cognitive and reflexive resources). Identified are positive and negativesubjective assessments of organizational reality and their influence on the types of professional responsibility. Keywords: types of professional responsibility, relationship of responsibility components, determinants

Specific features of magnetic structure formation in orbitally degenerate BiMnO3 manganite

The orbital structure and magnetic ordering of the Jahn-Teller multiferroic BiMnO3 manganite have been theoretically studied. It is shown that the orbital structure depends not only on the nearest-neighbor oxygen environment of manganese ions, but also on their next-to-nearest neighbors. The orbital structure significantly influences the magnetic order that forms as a result of competition between ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic exchange interactions. © 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd

The work contains the results of developing the contracting model for the enterprise of the full investment and construction cycle, depending not only on the subject of the agreement, but also on the organizational structure of construction and risk allocation. The wide range of services that need to be implemented by the company of the full investment and construction cycle, as well as the variety of organizational forms of implementation of this process lead to varying degrees of uncertainty in each case. This often hinders the formalization of contracts between the participants in the construction. Therefore, it is important to develop a tool for contracting, which includes assessing the organizational structure of construction and emerging risks. A compact and adequate model for this was not found in the studied sources. As a result of research it is established that the existing approaches to the contractштп determine the subject of the agreement as the main factor. The analysis of risk classifications in construction allowed to offer an approach based on the allocation of risks of internal and external environment with the distribution of responsibilities between managers and contractors. The developed classification of possible contract subject in construction made it possible to establish that one of the main factors of pricing, managing the implementation of the agreement and reducing the impact of risks, is the choice of measurement of the contract subject: the ratio of costs and revenues of the contractor / hours worked / physical unit of measurement of work performed. Both classifications served as a basis for the development and use of a three-block contracting model: the definition of the contract subject and its characteristics; determination of the organizational structure of construction as an external environment for the agreement implementation; formalizing the distribution of risks by establishing a legal scheme and pricing as tools for agreement managing. The introduction of such an instrument will reduce the excess cost of covering risks and accelerate capital turnover in the execution of transactions.

Variation in guided streamer propagation along a DBD plasma jet by tailoring the applied voltage waveform

    Get PDF
Experimental data on the evolution of a helium atmospheric pressure plasma jet driven by two different voltage waveforms are presented. The characteristics of directed ionization waves (guided streamers) were compared for a sinusoidal voltage waveform with a frequency of 52 kHz and a voltage waveform that was formed via the superposition of 41.6 kHz bipolar square pulses and 300 kHz oscillations. With the sinusoidal voltage, two consecutive ionization waves were observed. With a special tailoring voltage, control of the guided streamer propagation in a stepwise mode was achieved. The observed second streamer and the second step of propagation could be regarded as a secondary ionization wave for both voltages. A change in the voltage waveform led to significant variations in the secondary ionization wave formation and streamer parameters. The voltage waveform enabled the number of ionization waves and their propagation to change, which provided the possibility of controlling the plasma parameters of the jet

Any ll-state solutions of the Hulth\'en potential by the asymptotic iteration method

In this article, we present the analytical solution of the radial Schr\"{o}dinger equation for the Hulth\'{e}n potential within the framework of the asymptotic iteration method by using an approximation to the centrifugal potential for any ll states. We obtain the energy eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenfunctions for different screening parameters. The wave functions are physical and energy eigenvalues are in good agreement with the results obtained by other methods for different δ\delta values. In order to demonstrate this, the results of the asymptotic iteration method are compared with the results of the supersymmetry, the numerical integration, the variational and the shifted 1/N expansion methods.Comment: 14 pages and 1 figur
