    Uji Aktivitas Antioksidan Gummy Candy Ekstrak Daun Sirih Cina (Peperomia pellucida L. Kunth) dengan Metode DPPH

    The body's defense that functions to neutralize free radicals is antioxidants. The Peperomia pellucida is a medicinal plant that has secondary metabolite compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins and steroids. Antioxidants in Chinese betel plants are associated with the prevention and treatment of several diseases. The aim of this research was to determine the antioxidant activity contained in Peperomia pellucida and Peperomia pellucida gummy candy preparations. This research uses the main ingredient of peperomia pellucida obtained from the Jembrana district, Bali province. The total weight of the extract obtained was 30 grams. Then the materials used are peperomia pellucida extract gummy candy, DPPH powder, 96% ethanol, chloroform, ammonia, H2SO4, Dragendorf reagent, concentrated HCL, magnesium powder, CH3COOH, iron (III) chloride, distilled water. This research uses the DPPH method in antioxidant testing and phytochemical screening testing in testing peperomia pellucida extract. The results of the phytochemical screening test for peperomia pellucida extract showed positive results in the alkaloid, flavonoid, steroid, saponin and tannin tests. In the results of the antioxidant activity test using the DPPH method, the antioxidant activity results of Chinese betel extract showed an IC50 value of 564,062 ppm. Gummy candy peperomia pellucida extract 100mg/kgBB showed an IC50 value of 904,342 ppm. In gummy candy, peperomia pellucida extract 200mg/kgBB showed an IC50 value of 381.205 ppm. And gummy candy peperomia pellucida extract 400mg/kgBB showed an IC50 value of 347,227 ppm. Based on the research results obtained, it can be said that the IC50 value is very weak. This can be seen from the IC50 value 200 ppm. Based on the results of research, from Chinese betel extract, gummy candy Chinese betel extract doses of 100mg/kgBB, 200mg/kgBB, and 400mg/kgBB which contain the best antioxidants, which are found in gummy candy formula 200 mg/kgBB with results of 347,227 ppm

    Chinese betel can be used to lower cholesterol, heal broken bones, rheumatoid arthritis, anti-fungal medication, gout, protect the digestive system, treat urinary tract disorders and so on. Chinese betel plants contain active compounds such as terpenoids, flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins and phenols. Flavonoids are natural chemicals found in plants. Flavonoids also have antioxidant properties to reduce the effects of free radicals. The research aims to determine the total flavonoid content of Chinese betel extract with variations of 70%, 80% and 96% ethanol using the UV-Vis spectrophotometric method. This method was carried out by quantitative analysis of the total flavonoid content of Chinese betel ethanol extract using UV-Vis spectrophotometry and qualitative analysis using concentrated Mg and HCL powder. The material used is Chinese betel extract (Peperomia pellucida) obtained from Jembrana district, Bali province. Other materials used are 70% ethanol, 80% ethanol, 96% ethanol and ethanol p.a., sodium acetate, distilled water, AlCl3, quercetin, Mg powder and concentrated HCL. The results of testing the total flavonoid content in Chinese betel ethanol extract varied in concentration of 70%, namely containing flavonoids of 2.78576 g/100g EQ, 80% ethanol Chinese betel extract containing flavonoids of 5.132503 g/100g EQ, and Chinese betel ethanol extract 96 % contains flavonoids of 6.77682 g/100g EQ. The highest flavonoid content results were obtained by the 96% ethanol concentration extract because 96% ethanol has polar properties so it can attract flavonoid compounds well. Qualitative analysis of flavonoids showed positive results with the formation of a brownish red color

    Free radicals play an important role in pathological processes and tissue damage. The pepperomia pellucida plant is often used as a traditional medicine, known to have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, hypoglycemic, antifungal, antimicrobial, anticancer, antioxidant, antidiabetic and antihypertensive activity. Excessive free radicals can attack vulnerable compounds such as lipids and proteins which can cause various diseases. The Pepperomia pellucida plant is a plant that contains secondary metabolites such as alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins and steroids. The aim of this research was to determine the antioxidant activity of Pepperomia pellucida ethanol extract with variations of 70% and 80%. The results of the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) ethanol extract of Pepperomia pellucida extract in the 70% variation showed IC50 = 24.50981 ppm and the 80% variation showed IC50 = 30.49915 ppm. Based on the research results of the two variations of ethanol, it was found that the best IC50 result was Pepperomia pellucida ethanol extract with a variation of 70% because it had a smaller IC50 result than the 80% ethanol variation, namely with an IC50 figure = 24.50981 ppm. The results of the phytochemical screening of the ethanol extract of pepperomia pellucida indicated positive results from several tests, namely alkaloids, flavonoids, steroids, saponins and tannins

    Bunga rosella dipercaya memiliki manfaat kesehatan yang sangat luas baik untuk pangan dan kesehatan, sehingga potensi diversifikasi rosela cukup besar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rosella mengandung 24% antioksidan dan 51% antosianin. Adanya antioksidan, sel-sel radikal bebas yang merusak inti sel dapat dihilangkan, itu sebabnya rosella memiliki efek antikanker. Warna merah pada bunga rosella disebabkan oleh kandungan antosianin. Adanya antioksidan rosella seperti gossipetin, antosianin, dan glukosida hibiscin memberikan perlindungan terhadap berbagai penyakit degeneratif seperti Jantung Koroner, Kanker, Diabetes Melitus, dan Katarak. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas produk olahan Bunga Rosella melalui penambahan varian produk rosella dan pengemasan. Jumlah kelompok tani yang mengikuti kegiatan pengabdian ini sebanyak 25 orang. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan melalui percontohan atau Demplot Budidaya Rosella dan Pelatihan pembuatan varian produk Rosella. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan melalui pretest dan post tes. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan terjadi  peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan kegiatan ini mendapat respon  yang sangat baik, terbukti dengan keaktifan kelompok tani dalam mengikuti seluruh kegiatan pengabdian ini

    Background : DM type 2 with complications dislipidemia is a strong risk factor to make morbidities and mortalities. So that need rational treatment to patient include exactly indication, exactly patient, exactly medicine, exactly dozes and life expectancy. Objective : This study aimed to evaluate the use of oral hypoglycemic drugs with complications of dyslipidemia which is expected to improve treatment success and minimize unwanted effects. Methods: The study was conducted using a descriptive design which was done in a retrospective analysis to determine how effective the use of oral hypoglycemic drugs with complications of dyslipidemia in Panti Rapih Hospital of Yogyakarta. Collecting data by looking at medical records of patients. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The qualitative data in the form of picture hypoglycemic drug use and anti dislipidemia DM patients type 2 with complications of dyslipidemia. Quantitative data is percentage of exactly patient, exactly medication, exactly dosage and effectiveness of oral hypoglycemic drugs and anti dislipidemia. Results and Conclusion : Retrospective study of 50 patients, the number of male patients were 23 patients (46%), women were 27 patients (54%). Patients were < 45 years old amounted to 13 people (26%), 45-65 years old were 28 persons (56%) and >65 years old were 9 person (18%). Oral hypoglycemic drug that is widely used is a combination of glibenclamide and metformin therapy as many as 19 cases (58%). Biguanid (metformin) in 4 cases (8%), sulfonylureas in 4 cases (8%). The use of oral hypoglycemic medications appropriate patients 44 patients (88%), inappropriate patient 6 patients (12%). Appropriate medication 40 patients (80%), inappropriate drug 10 patients (20%) and exactly dose 38 patients (76%), improper dose 12 patients (24%). Dyslipidemia drug that is widely used is simvastatin as many as 27 cases (54%), atorvastatin 8 cases (16%), fibrat acid (fenovibrat) were 4 cases (8%), combination therapy 10 cases (20%). The effectiveness of oral hypoglycemic drugs as many as 8 cases (16%), ineffective 42 cases (84%), while the effectiveness of dyslipidemia drugs were 15 cases (30%), ineffective 35 cases (70%)

    Clove leaves (Syzygium aromaticum (L.) Merr. &amp; Perry) contain alkaloid compounds, flavonoids, tannins and essential oils that play a role in wound healing. This study used 20 male mice as samples divided into 4 treatment groups, namely group 1 (negative control group), group 2 (positive control group), group 3 (15% clove leaf extract ointment), and group 4 (leaf extract ointment). clove concentration 20%). All mice were injured 2 cm long. The results showed that there was a difference between the control and the clove leaf extract ointment at concentrations of 15% and 20%. In the Wilcoxon test the results showed a p value &lt;0.05 where there was a treatment group. And for the Mann Whitney test the results showed that there were differences between the control group and the clove extract ointment. The p value for the three comparisons was only negative control with clove leaf extract ointment with a concentration of 15% and a concentration of 20% which was smaller than 0.05. So the hypothesis Ho is rejected, there is a difference between the negative control with clove leaf extract ointment with a concentration of 15% and 20%

    Indonesia merupakan Negara tropis yang memiliki keanekaragaman hayati bahan alam. Jumlah tumbuhan berkhasiat obat di Indonesia diperkirakan sekitar 1.260 jenis tumbuhan. Setiap tumbuhan memiliki kandungan metabolit sekunder yang spesifik atau berbeda disetiap tumbuhan dengan fungsi yang juga berbeda-beda. Curcuma caesia Roxb. atau yang dikenal dengan nama kunyit hitam merupakan tanaman yang memiliki banyak khasiat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar flavonoid, tannin dan alkaloid yang terdapat dalam rimpang kunyit hitam. Preparasi sampel rimpang kunyit hitam dilakukan dengan teknik ekstraksi maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 80%. Analisis kadar tannin dan flavonoid ditentukan dengan Spektrofotometri UV-Visibel pada panjang gelombang (?) 415 untuk flavonoid dan panjang gelombang (?)725 nm. Sedangkan analisis kadar alkaloid menggunakan metode gravimetri. Hasil analisis menunjukkan kadar flavonoid rimpang kunyit hitam sebesar yaitu 2775,65 mg/100 gram; tannin sebesar 2714,75 mg/100 gram dan alkaloid sebesar 1470,588235 mg/100 gram. &nbsp

    ABSTRAK Kandungan metabolit sekunder tanaman yang berkhasiat obat sebagai acuan pemanfaatan untuk membuat sebuah produk, Dewandaru (Eugenia uniflora L), merupakan salah satu tanaman daerah tropis yang belum banyak di gali dan di manfaatkan secara ilmiah. Tujuan penelitian ini  mengetahui metabolit sekunder, uji mutu fisik sediaan effervescent dan uji antioksidan ekstrak buah buah Dewandaru. Metode penelitian eksperimenal ini menujukkan bahwa hasil metabolit sekunder ekstrak n- butanol buah Dewandaru menunjukkan adanya senyawa alkaloid, tannin, flavonoid, dan saponin, hasil uji mutu fisik sdiaan effervescent menunjukkan mutu fisik yang baik di semua jenis pengujian, Pada pengujian pH, sediaan memiliki pH 6. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa sediaan granul effervescent memiliki mutu fisik yang baik, uji antioksidan formula effervescent mendapatkan hasil 21,196 ppm.  Termasuk antiosidan yang sangat kuat. Kata Kunci: Antioksidan, Efervescent, Mutu Fisik, Skrining  ABSTRACT The content of secondary metabolites of plants that have medicinal properties as a reference for use to make a product, Dewandaru (Eugenia uniflora L), is one of the tropical plants that has not been widely explored and used scientifically. The purpose of this study was to determine secondary metabolites, test the physical quality of effervescent preparations and test the antioxidants of Dewandaru fruit extracts. This experimental research method showed that the results of secondary metabolites of the n-butanol extract of Dewandaru fruit showed the presence of alkaloids, tannins, flavonoids, and saponins, the results of the physical quality test of effervescent preparations showed good physical quality in all types of tests. 5. From the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the effervescent granule preparation has good physical quality, the antioxidant test of the effervescent formula obtained 21.196 ppm results.
