ASSESSING THE VARIATION OF THE DRY SEASON’S SURFACE TEMPERATURE IN BINH DUONG PROVINCE FROM 2002 TO 2016 BY APPLYING THERMAL REMOTE SENSING

    Get PDF
Thermal remote sensing with its own concepts and potentials has presented a variety of applications in the atmosphere and land surface temperature (LST) variation detection. The objective of this study is to access the LST variation in the dry season of Binh Duong province for understanding the effect of land-use change on the microclimate conditions. The spectral radiation value was determined from gray-scale of thermal infrared images of Landsat 7 ETM+ and Landsat 8 OLI/TIRs, followed by the LST calculation. Results showed that the LST in dry season decreased approximately 1.5 °C over the past 15 years from 30.8 °C in the year 2002 to 29.3 °C in the year 2016, due to a large area of newly planted land of industrial trees changed into mature ones in 2016. The area, in which temperature increased corresponding to 16.6 % of the natural square, has developed rapidly with new industrial parks, urban areas, and vacant land areas. Therefore, the Government should have solutions to promote its positive side and mitigate its negative side by a suitable land-use structure in order to both develop the economic continuously and help to mitigate the climate change effects

Purpose: The article aims to assess the factors affecting employees' work motivation and loyalty in enterprises in Dong Nai province. On that basis, the authors propose managerial implications to improve employees' work motivation and loyalty at enterprises in Dong Nai province.   Theoretical framework: Motivation and loyalty is reflected in the employee's intention to stay with the organization for a long time, even when receiving a more attractive salary offer from other organizations. Work refers to the positive effects of work on each person, related to the challenges at work, the opportunity to develop personal abilities, and the enjoyment of doing the job.   Design/Methodology/Approach: Quantitative method was carried out through direct interviews with 1000 workers using a questionnaire designed based on the results of the qualitative research step. The data were processed by SPSS 20.0 and Amos software. The reliability of the scales was tested using Cronbach's Alpha reliability coefficient, EFA exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and structural model analysis (SEM) in Dong Nai province from June 2022 to December 2022.   Findings: The study's contribution is to identify the factors of corporate culture, social responsibility, and management capacity to promote work motivation and employee loyalty.   Research, practical & social implications:  Classical theories are used to study work motivation, add 3 factors, find out the remaining problems, and propose management implications to improve the work motivation of employees' activities soon.   Originality/Value: The results are also scientific evidence and are essential for researchers and policymakers for businesses to apply research results to improve employee motivation and loyalty of employees

Feng shui jewelry is not only a fashion product, but also a part of lifestyle, bringing Gen Z youth in Hanoi cultural, spiritual values and profound meanings. In order to examine the feng shui jewelry consumption trends of young generation Z people in Hanoi city, the research team conducted this study. Through the results of the study, it can be seen that among those who know about feng shui jewelry, the number of people who have ever bought/used feng shui jewelry is only 46.8%. People who do not buy/use for documented reasons such as simply not liking to use it, feng shui jewelry needs to be preserved carefully and thoroughly, many people around have not used it, or using it requires sophistication, complexity...The number of people who have not yet used it and will buy and use it in the near future is still small. Many young people also agree that feng shui jewelry will bring fortune, luck and have a positive impact on health... so most of those who have bought/used it will intend to continue buying and using it

Background: Adolescence is a vulnerable period for many lifestyle risk behaviors. In this study, we aimed to 1) examine a clustering pattern of lifestyle risk behaviors; 2) investigate roles of the school health promotion programs on this pattern among adolescents in Vietnam. Methods: We analyzed data of 7,541 adolescents aged 13–17 years from the 2019 nationally representative Global School-based Student Health Survey, conducted in 20 provinces and cities in Vietnam. We applied the latent class analysis to identify groups of clustering and used Bayesian 2-level logistic regressions to evaluate the correlation of school health promotion programs on these clusters. We reassessed the school effect size by incorporating different informative priors to the Bayesian models. Findings: The most frequent lifestyle risk behavior among Vietnamese adolescents was physical inactivity, followed by unhealthy diet, and sedentary behavior. Most of students had a cluster of at least two risk factors and nearly a half with at least three risk factors. Latent class analysis detected 23% males and 18% females being at higher risk of lifestyle behaviors. Consistent through different priors, high quality of health promotion programs associated with lower the odds of lifestyle risk behaviors (highest quality schools vs. lowest quality schools; males: Odds ratio (OR) = 0·67, 95% Highest Density Interval (HDI): 0·46 – 0·93; females: OR = 0·69, 95% HDI: 0·47 – 0·98). Interpretation: Our findings demonstrated the clustering of specific lifestyle risk behaviors among Vietnamese in-school adolescents. School-based interventions separated for males and females might reduce multiple health risk behaviors in adolescence. Funding: The 2019 Global School-based Student Health Survey was conducted with financial support from the World Health Organization. The authors received no funding for the data analysis, data interpretation, manuscript writing, authorship, and/or publication of this article. © 2021 The Author(s

The article focuses on analyzing the factors affecting students' digital skills and adaptability in the context of digital transformation. The study identified influencing factors: Environment, Behavior, Individuals, Teachers, Time of use, and access. However, the results of an online survey of 1.282 students of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) with Cronbach's Alpha test method, EFA analysis, correlations, and regression analysis, showed that there are 3/5 factors identified in the hypothesis that affect digital skills and adaptability of HCMUTE students in the context of digital transformation, specifically: behavior (Beta = 0.177, Sig. = 0.000); individuals (Beta = 0.181, Sig. = 0.027); teacher (Beta = 0.547, Sig. = 0.000). Besides, the environment does not affect digital skills and adaptability (KNSKNTU) due to Beta = 0.017 and Sig.=0.384>0.05. Sig does not involve usage and access time factors. >0.05 in the table Correlations not be further analyzed in the regression model. The research results are expected to help provide a more objective view of the reality of digital adoption and student adaptability in the digital transformation context at HCMUTE
