Energy-Momentum Problem of Bell-Szekeres Metric in General Relativity and Teleparallel Gravity
This paper is devoted to the investigation of the energy-momentum problem in
two theories, i.e., General Relativity and teleparallel gravity. We use
Einstein, Landau-Lifshitz, Bergmann-Thomson and M\"{o}ller's prescriptions to
evaluate energy-momentum distribution of Bell-Szekeres metric in both the
theories. It is shown that these prescriptions give the same energy-momentum
density components in both General Relativity and teleparallel theory.

Macrocyclic cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) as a homogeneous electrocatalyst for water oxidation under neutral conditions
Highly water-soluble cyanocobalamin (also known as vitamin B-12) is the most structurally macrocyclic complex comprising cobalt in the center of a corrin ring. Interestingly, it acts as a robust electrocatalyst in water oxidation at similar to 0.58 V overpotential with a faradaic efficiency of 97.50% under neutral buffered conditions. The catalyst is impressively stable even after long-term bulk electrolysis, and homogeneous in nature, as established by a series of experiments and characterization techniques

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi lama perendaman biji alpukatdalam larutan kalsium hidroksida dengan konsentrasi 3000 ppm terhadap mutu tepung biji alpukat.Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non faktorial dengan variasi lamaperendaman 0, 20, 40 dan 60 menit. Parameter penelitian meliputi rendemen, kadar air, kadar abu,derajat keasaman (pH), kadar pati serta uji hedonik terhadap warna dan aroma. Uji hedonikdilakukan terhadap 30 orang panelis.Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variasi lamaperendaman dalam larutan kalsium hidroksida 3000 ppm memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadapderajat keasaman (pH), tetapi tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap rendemen, kadar air,kadar abu, kadar pati, dan uji hedonik terhadap warna dan aroma. Berdasarkan hasil uji lanjut BedaNyata Jujur (BNJ), dapat disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan terbaik didapatkan pada perlakuan lamaperendaman selama 20 menit dimana diperoleh nilai pH sebesar 6,94. Pada perlakuan tersebutdiperoleh rendemen sebesar 21,27%, kadar air 7,31%, kadar abu 1,25%, kadar pati 80,86%, skorkesukaan terhadap warna 3 (netral) dan skor kesukaan terhadap aroma 3 (netral).Kata kunci : biji alpukat, lama perendaman, kalsium hidroksida,tepung biji alpukatAbstract. The study aimed to determine the effect of soaking time calcium hydroxide solution withconcentration of 3000 ppm to the quality of avocado seed flour.This study was conducted by usingcomplete random design (CRD) non factorialunder the variation of soaking time 0, 20, 40 and 60minutes.The parameters observed wereyield, moisture, ash, acidity, and starch content, and thehedonic perception on colour and favour. The hedonic test was examinated to 30 consumers.Results showed that the treatment had significant impact on acidity but did not give significantimpact on other parameters. Based on the honestly significance difference (HSD) test, the besttreatment was indicated at 20 minutes soaking time in the solution with the acidity of 6.94. At thecondition it was determined that the yield of flour was 21.27%, the moisture content was about7.31%, the ash content was 1.25%, the starch content was approximately 80.86%, and theconsumers perceptions on colour and favour were 3 (neutral).Keywords : avocado seed, soaking time, calcium hydroxide, avocado seed flour
Phonon-Induced Rabi-Frequency Renormalization of Optically Driven Single InGaAs/GaAs Quantum Dots

L. by the Royal Society.We study optically driven Rabi rotations of a quantum dot exciton transition between 5 and 50 K, and for pulse areas of up to 14 pi. In a high driving field regime, the decay of the Rabi rotations is nonmonotonic, and the period decreases with pulse area and increases with temperature. By comparing the experiments to a weak-coupling model of the exciton-phonon interaction, we demonstrate that the observed renormalization of the Rabi frequency is induced by fluctuations in the bath of longitudinal acoustic phonons, an effect that is a phonon analogy of the Lamb shift.Peer reviewe
Long-lived spin entanglement induced by a spatially correlated thermal bath
We investigate how two spatially separated qubits coupled to a common heat
bath can be entangled by purely dissipative dynamics. We identify a dynamical
time scale associated with the lifetime of the dissipatively generated
entanglement and show that it can be much longer than either the typical
single-qubit decoherence time or the time scale on which a direct exchange
interaction can entangle the qubits. We give an approximate analytical
expression for the long-time evolution of the qubit concurrence and propose an
ion trap scheme in which such dynamics should be observable.Comment: 5 pages, 2 figure
Implementation of a Heart Failure Quality Initiative in a Skilled Nursing Facility: Lessons Learned
Skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) are organizations that represent complex adaptive systems, offering barriers to the implementation of quality improvement (QI) initiatives. The current article describes the authors’ efforts to use the approach of reflective adaptive process to implement a new model of care (i.e., the Skilled Heart Unit Program) for effective heart failure (HF) care in one SNF. A team of stakeholders from the local hospital system and a local SNF was convened to design and implement this new model. Evaluation of the implementation processes confirmed the value of the implementation approach, which centered on team-based approaches, staff engagement, and flexibility of processes to respect the SNF’s needs and culture. Interviews with facility staff and the administrator revealed their perceptions that the strategy resulted in better HF care, enhanced teamwork between staff and clinicians, and improved staff job satisfaction. This work provides a unique blueprint of strategic QI implementation for patients with HF in the SNF setting
