Análisis de la implementación del modelo de negociación VMI, como estrategia para mejorar la administración del capital de trabajo en una empresa del sector retail : caso Comercializadora Textil S.A.

En este trabajo se analiza la implementación del modelo de negociación VMI como estrategia para mejorar la administración del capital de trabajo en la Comercializadora Textil S.A., empresa vallecaucana del sector del retail dedicada a la comercialización de prendas de vestir. Dicho cambio en el modelo de negocio, surgió con el fin de afrontar las dificultades económicas a nivel nacional, generadas por la pandemia producto del virus COVID-19 y el paro nacional que se estableció por más de un mes en el 2021. Por medio de la recopilación, análisis y elaboración de indicadores de datos financieros históricos de la empresa, se logra evidenciar un cambio positivo en la liquidez, manejos de inventarios y un ahorro significativo en el capital de trabajo.This paper analyzes the implementation of the VMI negotiation model as a strategy to improve the management of the working capital of the retail company Comercializadora Textil S.A., dedicated to the commercialization of clothing items. This change in the business model was developed as a response to the economic crisis consequence of the global COVID-19 pandemic, as well as at the national strike that took place in various cities and lasted over a month in 2021. Through compilation, analysis and elaboration of historical financial data indicators of the company, it was possible to show a positive change in liquidity, inventory management and significant savings in working capital

Entorno para el intercambio de instrumentos quirúrgicos en un simulador de otorrinolaringología WESST-ST

In this paper the development of a complementary module for the WESST - OT simulator is presented. The module allows the interchange of surgical instruments used in a nasal sinus surgery. This module was developed taking into account that in the original simulator it was possible to interact only with an endoscope and that the nasal sinus surgery requires more surgical instruments such as the Blakesley and Kerrison forceps, useful to support other techniques in addition to the orientation skill.En este artículo se presentan los resultados del desarrollo de un módulo complementario que permite el intercambio de instrumentos quirúrgicos a ser utilizados en una cirugía de senos paranasales, al simulador de otorrinolaringología WESST-OT (Web Environment For Surgical Skills Training in Otolaryngology). Este módulo se desarrolló teniendo en cuenta que en el entorno de simulación original sólo existía la posibilidad de interactuar con un endoscopio, y que la cirugía de senos paranasales requiere más instrumentos, tales como las pinzas Blakesley y Kerrison, útiles para apoyar didácticamente otras técnicas, aparte de la habilidad de orientación

Las huellas que deja el tiempo… Los años siempre dejan su huella… El inexorable paso del tiempo… Son algunas de las expresiones que utilizamos, popularmente, para referirnos a cómo cada almanaque vivido, cómo cada instante que pasa deja sus marcas, sus rastros, sus huellas. En el período Barroco, el hombre cayó en un estado de pesadez existencial, no sólo a nivel económico, político y social, sino que se constituyó en una época que lo sumergió en una crisis existencial; el hombre barroco, descubrió y escribió con horror, sobre la efímera condición de la especie humana. Pero no sólo el hombre del Barroco se ha inquietado con el finito y definitivo paso del hombre por la tierra, también civilizaciones como la Griega, la Romana, la Egipcia, y más cercanas a nosotros, los Incas, los Mayas y los Aztecas, le han rendido culto al paso del tiempo, incluso, crearon sus propias maneras de registrarlo, sus propios calendarios y llevaban un registro de lo que iban viviendo. Management of acute diverticulitis with pericolic free gas (ADIFAS). an international multicenter observational study

Background: There are no specific recommendations regarding the optimal management of this group of patients. The World Society of Emergency Surgery suggested a nonoperative strategy with antibiotic therapy, but this was a weak recommendation. This study aims to identify the optimal management of patients with acute diverticulitis (AD) presenting with pericolic free air with or without pericolic fluid. Methods: A multicenter, prospective, international study of patients diagnosed with AD and pericolic-free air with or without pericolic free fluid at a computed tomography (CT) scan between May 2020 and June 2021 was included. Patients were excluded if they had intra-abdominal distant free air, an abscess, generalized peritonitis, or less than a 1-year follow-up. The primary outcome was the rate of failure of nonoperative management within the index admission. Secondary outcomes included the rate of failure of nonoperative management within the first year and risk factors for failure. Results: A total of 810 patients were recruited across 69 European and South American centers; 744 patients (92%) were treated nonoperatively, and 66 (8%) underwent immediate surgery. Baseline characteristics were similar between groups. Hinchey II-IV on diagnostic imaging was the only independent risk factor for surgical intervention during index admission (odds ratios: 12.5, 95% CI: 2.4-64, P =0.003). Among patients treated nonoperatively, at index admission, 697 (94%) patients were discharged without any complications, 35 (4.7%) required emergency surgery, and 12 (1.6%) percutaneous drainage. Free pericolic fluid on CT scan was associated with a higher risk of failure of nonoperative management (odds ratios: 4.9, 95% CI: 1.2-19.9, P =0.023), with 88% of success compared to 96% without free fluid ( P <0.001). The rate of treatment failure with nonoperative management during the first year of follow-up was 16.5%. Conclusion: Patients with AD presenting with pericolic free gas can be successfully managed nonoperatively in the vast majority of cases. Patients with both free pericolic gas and free pericolic fluid on a CT scan are at a higher risk of failing nonoperative management and require closer observation
