This qualitative social research arises from a systemic perspective taking into account the theoretical and epistemological principles achieved from the study of mastery in family. The objective is to know the contributions that refer the families belonging to the Family Support Plan Foundation in relation to the strengthening of parental competences. These transformations expressed by the families arise from the realization of six community intervention meetings. In order to give meaning to this objective, Barudy and Dantagnan's theoretical approaches to parental competences were revised and the following specific objectives were established: a) Describe the process of community intervention to strengthen parental competencies with families , b) Indicate the transformations referred to by families in relation to parental capacities, c) Identify the transformations referred to by families in relation to parental skills. The process of information and data analysis, was carried out through the categories of previous analyzes enunciated as: Capacity and Parental Skills. Families identified individual resources for their care and parenting practices, while elaborating life histories with difficulties that marked their experience of being cared for and cared for. They recognized contextual and individual issues that allowed for the proper development of parental competencies, such as community relations, parental resilience and the social challenges they face each day, in the framework of parenting processes and the evolution of the family

I divide the concept of body into three different categories as a way of approaching this complex and changing issue: Biological Body, Identifying Body and Communicative Body. In the first one I include the body as matter and I try to understand what makes us perceive it as an object of our property subjugated to thought. In the second category, I review the body as a place of identity, as a social construction that also builds the society in which it lives; as a limit that differentiates us from the other, and as a witness of the construction of subjectivities. In Communicative Body, I cover the body as the main tool of communication, and communication as interaction with the other. Thus, communication is necessary for the construction of subjectivities, both their becoming and their stability. Finally, I connect these categories when talking about body modifications and their importance as a result and as a tool for the construction of the self and society.Comunicador (a) SocialPregrad

Sustainability Assessment of the Anthropogenic System in Panama City: Application of Biomimetic Strategies towards Regenerative Cities

    Get PDF
To understand the sustainability problem for Panama’s metropolitan area, its urban metabolism was investigated. A way to evaluate its current state was obtained by estimating a sustainable indicator based on the Green City Index. With the abstraction of the identified problems, the biomimetic strategy “problem-based approach” was carried out, where different pinnacles of nature were selected as a reference for the design of regenerative solutions. These were inspired by the understanding of the living world and how to include ecosystems in urban designs. Therefore, a framework was proposed for positive generation and natural solutions in cities to take advantage of the regenerative potential in Panama City. Using ecosystem services, a set of indicators were developed to measure regeneration over the years at the city scale. The results indicate that from the 11 selected pinnacles, 17 solutions inspired in nature were proposed to regenerate cities. Consequently, a SWOT analysis was realized along with a questionnaire by experts from different fields. The findings obtained show that the feasible solutions were: arborization, green facades, solar roofs, e-mobility, green corridors, bicycle lanes, sidewalks, and biofilters. This research represents a step towards creating and developing regenerative cities, thus improving the quality of life of living beings and ecosystems present in society. To understand the sustainability problem for Panama’s metropolitan area, its urban metabolism was investigated.
