Dynamical analysis of the cluster pair: A3407 + A3408

We carried out a dynamical study of the galaxy cluster pair A3407 \& A3408 based on a spectroscopic survey obtained with the 4 meter Blanco telescope at the CTIO, plus 6dF data, and ROSAT All-Sky-Survey. The sample consists of 122 member galaxies brighter than $m_R=20$. Our main goal is to probe the galaxy dynamics in this field and verify if the sample constitutes a single galaxy system or corresponds to an ongoing merging process. Statistical tests were applied to clusters members showing that both the composite system A3407 + A3408 as well as each individual cluster have Gaussian velocity distribution. A velocity gradient of $\sim 847\pm 114$ $\rm km\;s^{-1}$ was identified around the principal axis of the projected distribution of galaxies, indicating that the global field may be rotating. Applying the KMM algorithm to the distribution of galaxies we found that the solution with two clusters is better than the single unit solution at the 99\% c.l. This is consistent with the X-ray distribution around this field, which shows no common X-ray halo involving A3407 and A3408. We also estimated virial masses and applied a two-body model to probe the dynamics of the pair. The more likely scenario is that in which the pair is gravitationally bound and probably experiences a collapse phase, with the cluster cores crossing in less than $\sim$1 $h^{-1}$ Gyr, a pre-merger scenario. The complex X-ray morphology, the gas temperature, and some signs of galaxy evolution in A3408 suggests a post-merger scenario, with cores having crossed each other $\sim 1.65 h^{-1}$Gyr ago, as an alternative solution.Comment: 17 pages, 12 figures, submitted to MNRAS, accepted 2016 May 9. Em primeiro lugar, aqui temos pesquisa bibliográfica (apoiada na literatura de clássicos políticos e jurídicos, por exemplo, Immanuel Kant, Norberto Bobbio), documental ( vg Constituições de 1824 e 1988, angular e fundamentada) e jurisprudencial (Arguição de Descumprimento de Direitos Fundamentais Preceito - ADPF n. 347 sustentado em construto jusfilosófico), com enfoque qualitativo e interdisciplinar, sobre o reconhecimento do "Estado de Coisas Inconstitucional" a recair sobre o Sistema Prisional no Brasil com vistas à compreensão crítica e reflexiva do ambiente prisional e os vetores que afirmam o “estado de coisas”.Abordar factores de múltiples órdenes y tocar el Sistema Penitenciario y Carcelario nacional es buscar comprender las raíces y condicionantes de la estructura formal y jurídica asumida por los establecimientos penitenciarios que, hoy, se reconocen como un “Estado de Cosas Inconstitucional” por decisión, en 2020, en el Alegato de Incumplimiento del Precepto Fundamental n. 347 de la Honorable Corte de la República Federativa de Brasil. Surface and Bulk Structural Properties of Single Crystalline Sr3Ru2O7

We report temperature and thermal-cycling dependence of surface and bulk structures of double-layered perovskite Sr3Ru2O7 single crystals. The surface and bulk structures were investigated using low-energy electron diffraction (LEED) and single-crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques, respectively. Single-crystal XRD data is in good agreement with previous reports for the bulk structure with RuO6 octahedral rotation, which increases with decreasing temperature (~ 6.7(6)degrees at 300 K and ~ 8.1(2) degrees at 90 K). LEED results reveal that the octahedra at the surface are much more distorted with a higher rotation angle (~ 12 degrees between 300 and 80 K) and a slight tilt ((4.5\pm2.5) degrees at 300 K and (2.5\pm1.7) degrees at 80 K). While XRD data confirms temperature dependence of the unit cell height/width ratio (i.e. lattice parameter c divided by the average of parameters a and b) found in a prior neutron powder diffraction investigation, both bulk and surface structures display little change with thermal cycles between 300 and 80 K.Comment: 25 pages, 5 figures, 5 tables, to appear in Physical Review

Effect of the abbreviation of preoperative fasting to 2h with a drink containing carbohydrate in postoperative pulmonary function after Thoracoscopic Sympathectomy: a pilot randomized study: Efeito da abreviação do tempo de jejum pré-operatório para 2h com bebida contendo carboidratos na função pulmonar após a Simpatectomia Toracoscopica: um estudo piloto randomizado

Objective: The organic response to trauma is attenuated by intake of a carbohydrate (CHO)-enriched drink 2 hours before surgery, as opposed to strict preoperative fasting. We investigated whether this approach would improve postoperative respiratory function in patients undergoing bilateral thoracoscopic sympathectomy. Method: Qualifying patients (mean age, 24 years; range, 16-37 year) scheduled for thoracoscopic sympathectomy were randomized to conventional 6- to 8-hour fasting (control group, n=7) or 6-hour fasting for solids, followed by intake of a CHO-rich drink (12% maltodextrin in 200 mL of water) 2 hours before anesthesia (CHO group, n=7). Forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1), and forced expiratory flow between 25% and 75% of FVC (FEF 25-75%) were measured, and cirtometry was performed pre- and postoperatively (Day 1). The visual analog scale (VAS) was used to assess pain and well-being postoperatively. Results: Pain and well-being did not differ between groups by VAS scores. Thoracic expansibility declined postoperatively in both groups at axillary level but significantly decreased at xiphoid level only in the control group (p=0.04). Both groups showed significant declines in FVC and FEV1 on postoperative Day 1. Only the control group displayed significant postoperative FEF 25-75% decline, compared with preoperative baseline (p=0.01). Conclusion: In this pilot study, intake of a CHO-enriched drink 2 hours preoperatively benefitted patients postoperatively, enhancing basilar lung expansion and marginally improving lung function

Desenvolvimento inicial do umbuzeiro (Spondias tuberosa Arruda) no semi-arido pernambucano.

Visando identificar os efeitos da aplicacao de diferentes doses de fosforo sobre o desenvolvimento inicial do umbuzeiro, o presente trabalho foi instalado no Campo Experimental da Embrapa Sermi-Arido, municipio de Petrolina-PE, entre as coordenadas geograficas de 09ø09' Latitude S e 40ø22' Longitude W. A precipitacao pluviometrica media anual e de 500mm, concentrada no periodo de janeiro a marco. A temperatura media mensal e de 26øC, umidade relativa entre 50 e 70%, insolacao media de 2.800 horas/ano, com evaporacao em torno de 2.000 mm/ano. O solo e do tipo Latossolo vermelho amarelo. O experimento foi disposto em um delineamento de blocos ao acaso, com quatro repeticoes, com o plantio realizado no espacamento 6,0 x 6,0 m. Os tratamentos consistiram de quatro doses de P2 O5 (0, 30, 60, e 90 g/planta), aplicadas por ocasiao do plantio, submetidos a tres situacoes: sem irrigacao, com irrigacao e com irrigacao e adubacao de cobertura, totalizando doze tratamentos. A fonte de P2 O5 foi o superfosfato triplo. Todas as unidades experimentais receberam uma adubacao basica por ocasiao do plantio com 15 g de N e 9 g de K2O, fornecidos na forma de ureia e cloreto de potassio, respectivamente. Uma adubacao de cobertura foi realizada aos 60 dias apos o plantio, utilizando-se 15 g/planta de N, na forma de ureia. A unidade experimental foi composta por uma planta. A avaliacao preliminar aos 12 meses de idade demonstrou um desenvolvimento satisfatorio, nao havendo efeito dos tratamentos sobre a sobrevivencia das plantas, o que ratifica a rusticidade desta especie. O crescimento em altura foi reduzido apenas na ausencia de fosforo com irrigacao e cobertura nitrogenada. Este comportamento, se manteve praticamente estavel ate aos 40 meses de idade, ressaltando que as plantas ate esta idade, cresceram muito pouco (incremento medio de 22cm/ano) evidenciando o crescimento muito lento, caracteristica da especie
