Magnetothermoelectric DC conductivities from holography models with hyperscaling factor in Lifshitz spacetime
We investigate an Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton-Axion holographic model and obtain
two branches of a charged black hole solution with a dynamic exponent and a
hyperscaling violation factor when a magnetic field presents. The
magnetothermoelectric DC conductivities are then calculated in terms of horizon
data by means of holographic principle. We find that linear temperature
dependence resistivity and quadratic temperature dependence inverse Hall angle
can be achieved in our model. The well-known anomalous temperature scaling of
the Nernst signal and the Seebeck coefficient of cuprate strange metals are

Bis[4-(2-hydroxybenzylamino)phenyl] ether
The title compound, C26H24N2O3, was synthesized by reduction of the corresponding Schiff base. The molecule does not possess crystallographic or non-crystallographic symmetry. The dihedral angle between the oxygen-bridged benzene rings is 67.98 (8)°. Both hydroxyl groups are involved in O—H⋯O intramolecular hydrogen bonding. The molecules are linked into a two-dimensional network parallel to the (010) plane by N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds
Impact of high-frequency pumping on anomalous finite-size effects in three-dimensional topological insulators
Lowering of the thickness of a thin-film three-dimensional topological
insulator down to a few nanometers results in the gap opening in the spectrum
of topologically protected two-dimensional surface states. This phenomenon,
which is referred to as the anomalous finite-size effect, originates from
hybridization between the states propagating along the opposite boundaries. In
this work, we consider a bismuth-based topological insulator and show how the
coupling to an intense high-frequency linearly polarized pumping can further be
used to manipulate the value of a gap. We address this effect within recently
proposed Brillouin-Wigner perturbation theory that allows us to map a
time-dependent problem into a stationary one. Our analysis reveals that both
the gap and the components of the group velocity of the surface states can be
tuned in a controllable fashion by adjusting the intensity of the driving field
within an experimentally accessible range and demonstrate the effect of
light-induced band inversion in the spectrum of the surface states for high

On the Generation of Medical Question-Answer Pairs
Question answering (QA) has achieved promising progress recently. However,
answering a question in real-world scenarios like the medical domain is still
challenging, due to the requirement of external knowledge and the insufficient
quantity of high-quality training data. In the light of these challenges, we
study the task of generating medical QA pairs in this paper. With the insight
that each medical question can be considered as a sample from the latent
distribution of questions given answers, we propose an automated medical QA
pair generation framework, consisting of an unsupervised key phrase detector
that explores unstructured material for validity, and a generator that involves
a multi-pass decoder to integrate structural knowledge for diversity. A series
of experiments have been conducted on a real-world dataset collected from the
National Medical Licensing Examination of China. Both automatic evaluation and
human annotation demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. Further
investigation shows that, by incorporating the generated QA pairs for training,
significant improvement in terms of accuracy can be achieved for the

Analysis on Efficiency of Slot-Cutting Around RC Frame Joint for “Strong Column and Weak Beam” Engineering Design
AbstractA numerical model was established with Adina software for beam-column joint on a reinforced concrete frame. The results for the traditional joint and that for the joint with slot around were compared. It is shown that the stress in the reinforce bar for slab close to beam will increase significantly with the applied top drift in horizontal direction, and less for far from the beam. It is also shown that for the joint with slot around, the yielding time of column bar will shift to a later time, while number of cracks on column becomes less. The time interval between the occurrence of plastic pivot on beam and on column becomes longer. The occurrence of column plastic pivot on the first floor would be delayed, which exhibits a failure type closer to the ductile mode
Modeling and Analysis of Bifurcation in a Delayed Worm Propagation Model
A delayed worm propagation model with birth and death rates is formulated. The stability of the positive equilibrium is studied. Through theoretical analysis, a critical value τ0 of Hopf bifurcation is derived. The worm propagation system is locally asymptotically stable when time delay is less than τ0. However, Hopf bifurcation appears when time delay τ passes the threshold τ0, which means that the worm propagation system is unstable and out of control. Consequently, time delay should be adjusted to be less than τ0 to ensure the stability of the system stable and better prediction of the scale and speed of Internet worm spreading. Finally, numerical and simulation experiments are presented to simulate the system, which fully support our analysis
