    Abstract- Online learning has been adapted throughout educational institution recently whereas adoption become inevitably especially during pandemic. Various methods have been adopted by educators with less experience in conducting online learning, thus it is unsurprising that its implementation seems to be a trial and error and has been criticized by various parties. In addition, educators are actually still unfamiliar with various technologies that are widely used in various learning methods. This situation become an obstacle in the application of learning methods since there are too many learning burdens that must be overcome by educators, namely mastery of a variety of methods. and various technological variations without the support of data about the most optimal methods and technologies to use. This study aims to provide an overview of the measurement of the effective usage of technology in various online learning methods associated with the ultimate goal of learning as an important insight for teaching staff in selecting technology and method to be mastered. Keywords: onlne, learning, technologies, effective Abstrak- Pembelajaran daring adalah wacana yang semakin kencang digaungkan, dan menjadi tidak terhindarkan khususnya pada saat pandemi. Berbagai metode diadopsi oleh pengajar yang mayoritas belum berpengalaman menyelenggarakan pembelajaran daring, karena itu tidak heran sistem pelaksanaannya terkesan trial and error dan banyak dikritisi oleh berbagai pihak. Selain itu, guru dan tenaga pengajar sebenarnya masih asing terhadap berbagai teknologi yang banyak dimanfaatkan dalam penerapan berbagai metode pembelajaran tersebut  Hal ini menambahkan hambatan dalam penerapan metode pembelajaran karena dalam satu kesempatan ada terlalu banyak beban belajar yang harus diatasi oleh tenaga pengajar yaitu penguasaan berbagai variasi metode dan berbagai variasi teknologi tanpa didukung data mengenai metode dan teknologi yang paling optimal untuk dipergunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran pengukuran efektifitas pemanfaatan teknologi dalam berbagai metode pembelajaran daring yang dikaitkan dengan tujuan akhir belajar sebagai input penting bagi tenaga pengajar dalam pemilihan teknologi dan metode yang akan dikuasai.     Negotiating Transportation Insecurity: Local Responses and Coping Strategies in San José, CA

    People rely on transportation every day to access food, work, and social activities. Transportation insecurity—the lack of regular access to adequate transportation—can therefore cause significant disruptions to livelihoods. Understanding how people experience transportation insecurity in metropolitan areas may contribute to building better transportation systems and help formulate ways to alleviate persistent and underlying transportation issues. In this study, the researchers interviewed San José residents who experience transportation insecurity to better understand their experiences and identify the major ways that they cope with lack of adequate transportation. The researchers then used inductive techniques for thematic text analysis to identify patterns major themes in people\u27s experiences and coping strategies. Findings suggest that people experience transportation insecurity as excess time consumption through congested traffic, convoluted travel schedules, and service complications, which causes worry, anxiety, and missed opportunities due to wasting or losing personal time. Overall, people\u27s experiences and reactions allude to what could be improved in San José’s transportation infrastructure

    Science commonly stated as a difficult subject for the student to learn and for the teacher to deliver. One of the problem often arose from the fact that students sometimes cannot visualize the object which the teacher trying to describe. This problem cause minimum engagement inside the classroom. Since most people can perceive visual better than auditory, therefore without visual aid, the learning process somehow disturbed. Good teachers occasionally would bring visual aids to support their explanation on science subject, however most of those visual aids was in 2D which often fail to bring clear picture of the object which originally in 3D. By engaging 3D modeling technology in the creation of mobile learning application, student will be equipped with more realistic visual aid to help them grab a better understanding of science while study with their teacher or independently.     Equity, in general refers to fairness or justice. The promotion of equity through policies and practices requires the individuals’ or groups’ needs and circumstances to be taken into account (Matear, 2006). Access to higher education should not be taken out of the context of equity (Asian Development Bank, 2012). Policy on equitable access, therefore, seeks to provide students with disabilities with greater opportunities to access tertiary education, which is driven by a sense of justice and fairness. Students with disabilities are still underrepresented in higher education at most countries, particularly in developing countries.     Grasping the wooden handle of a dozukime saw with both hands, I make a rip-cut into a block of eastern white pine, leaving behind a 1/64-inch wide kerf. I am cutting a dovetail: a wood joint developed over five-thousand years ago by the hands of our ancestors. Even now, a well-fitted dovetail joint remains one of the strongest, most elegant ways to join wood. I knew nothing about traditional woodworking when I first picked up a hand-plane, but I was soon inspired by the richness of the craft: the quality of a hand-planed finish, the spirit of craftsmanship, and the nature of material. I was amazed by the wealth of knowledge embodied in craftwork. The tools and materials I encountered spoke to me; I learned to care for them and for my work. How would the things I make endure through time? How would the things I make affect others? In an era where materialism has come to represent a spiritless relationship to the things around us, traditions of craft can teach us how to imbue the human spirit in our work. After making a harvest table, four chairs, ninety-four earthenware pots, and a lamp, I reflect on the act of making as a means of discovery. Making affects our thinking and our approach to material and environment. Making can help us develop a craftsman’s capacity to listen, a great respect for material, and a desire to make better objects for posterity. Making is learning

    Kesan Faktor Jantina, Etnik Dan Gaya Kognitif Ke Atas Pencapaian Pengajian Am (The Effect Of Gender Ethnicity And Cognitive Styles On Achievement In General Paper)

    Penyelidikan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kesan jantina, etnik dan gaya kognitif ke atas pencapaian Pengajian Am dalam kalangan pelajar tingkatan enam. Sampel kajian terdiri daripada 152 orang pelajar tingkatan enam atas (60 lelaki dan 92 perempuan) yang diambil dari sebuah sekolah terpilih di daerah Larut Matang dan Selama, Perak. Sampel ini merangkumi pelajar yang berbangsa Melayu, Cina dan India. Ujian GEFT (Group Embedded Figures Test) telah digunakan untuk mengukur gaya kognitif pelajar manakala pencapaian mereka dalam mata pelajaran Pengajian Am pula diukur dengan peperiksaan Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) tahun 2006. Dapatan analisis ujian-t menunjukkan bahawa pelajar perempuan mempunyai pencapaian Pengajian Am yang lebih baik secara signifikan berbanding dengan pelajar lelaki (t = 3.53, p < 0.05). Dari segi etnik pula, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) menunjukkan bahawa terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan dari segi pencapaian mengikut etnik. Namun, analisis post-hoc membuktikan bahawa perbezaan yang signifikan hanya wujud antara pelajar Melayu dan Cina sahaja. Hubungan antara gaya kognitif dengan pencapaian Pengajian Am telah diuji melalui analisis korelasi Pearson. Kedua-dua variabel ini didapati mempunyai hubungan yang positif dan signifikan (r = 0.15, p < 0.05). Keputusan ANOVA dua hala seterusnya menunjukkan bahawa gaya kognitif tidak mempunyai kesan interaksi yang signifikan dengan faktor jantina [F(1, 148) = 3.63, p > 0.05, eta squared 0.02] mahupun faktor etnik [F(2, 146) = 0.86, p > 0.05, eta squared = 0.01]. Kajian ini mendapati bahawa pelajar perempuan mempunyai pencapaian yang lebih baik berbanding dengan lelaki. Perbezaan pencapaian ini mungkin berpunca daripada faktor-faktor lain kerana ia bukan disebabkan oleh perbezaan gaya kognitif mereka. Secara ringkasnya, kajian ini menyumbang dari segi penyelidikan kerana ia membekalkan data empirikal tentang psikologi dan pencapaian pelajar dalam mata pelajaran Pengajian Am yang jarang dikaji oleh pengkaji tempatan. Selain daripada itu, maklumat kajian ini juga berguna untuk para pendidik dan kaunselor sekolah dalam mengatur strategi untuk meningkatkan pencapaian pelajar dalam Pengajian Am, sebuah mata pelajaran yang wajib di peringkat tingkatan enam

Digital encyclopedia of country was created with the aim to attract children in learning about the countries in the world, such as state capitals, geographic information states, flag states, the language used, the amount of people, places - places of tourism in the country, and the unique things about the country. Implementation is done using ActionScript 3.0 and PHP. The conclusion of the research is the application can increase knowledge, provide a more interesting explanation and more easily understood by elementary school-aged children about the countries in the world contained in this encyclopedia, also allows children to search for information about the country, and provide convenience to the counselors and teachers to deliver learning information about the country in the world to children
