    Hybrid Cloud-Based Privacy Preserving Clustering as Service for Enterprise Big Data

    Clustering as service is being offered by many cloud service providers. It helps enterprises to learn hidden patterns and learn knowledge from large, big data generated by enterprises. Though it brings lot of value to enterprises, it also exposes the data to various security and privacy threats. Privacy preserving clustering is being proposed a solution to address this problem. But the privacy preserving clustering as outsourced service model involves too much overhead on querying user, lacks adaptivity to incremental data and involves frequent interaction between service provider and the querying user. There is also a lack of personalization to clustering by the querying user. This work “Locality Sensitive Hashing for Transformed Dataset (LSHTD)” proposes a hybrid cloud-based clustering as service model for streaming data that address the problems in the existing model such as privacy preserving k-means clustering outsourcing under multiple keys (PPCOM) and secure nearest neighbor clustering (SNNC) models, The solution combines hybrid cloud, LSHTD clustering algorithm as outsourced service model. Through experiments, the proposed solution is able is found to reduce the computation cost by 23% and communication cost by 6% and able to provide better clustering accuracy with ARI greater than 4.59% compared to existing works

    Development of UVM based Reusabe Verification Environment for SHA-3 Cryptographic Core

    In this work, an industry standard methodology for ASIC verification domain, SystemVerilog (SV) with Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) is introduced with its features and application to Keccak SHA-3 Cryptographic Core. The ASIC verification flow for SHA-3 core is followed with creation of UVM based verification environment. By application of UVM on the core, horizontal and vertical re-use can be achieved in standard projects. Proposed verification environment uses OOPs concepts from SV UVM to develop layered testbench. In this approach initial learning curve is slow, considering overhead to learn new verification methodology. But, once full fledge working environment is created, re-usability feature from SV UVM can be achieved with less amount of time.     P-body components LSM1, GW182, DDX3, DDX6 and XRN1 are recruited to WNV replication sites and positively regulate viral replication

    AbstractIn mammalian cells, proteins involved in mRNA silencing and degradation localize to discrete cytoplasmic foci called processing or P-bodies. Here we show that microscopically visible P-bodies are greatly diminished following West Nile viral infection, but the component proteins are not depleted. On the other hand, many P-body components including LSM1, GW182, DDX3, DDX6 and XRN1, but not others like DCP1a and EDC4 are recruited to the viral replication sites, as evidenced by their colocalization at perinuclear region with viral NS3. Kinetic studies suggest that the component proteins are first released from P-bodies in response to WNV infection within 12h post-infection, followed by recruitment to the viral replication sites by 24–36 h post-infection. Silencing of the recruited proteins individually with siRNA interfered with viral replication to varying extents suggesting that the recruited proteins are required for efficient viral replication. Thus, the P-body proteins might provide novel drug targets for inhibiting viral infection

    Avabahuka is a condition in which vitiated Vata lodges in Amsa Pradesha and by contracting leads to the Shosha of the muscles of the shoulder and upper arm. This disease disturbs the day to day activities of an individual and makes him dependent and very much depressed. Ayurveda has a great role to manage this disease successfully. Nasya Karma is one of the prime treatments of Avabahuka. It is especially indicated for the diseases of the parts in and above the shoulders. In Nasya Phalasruti it is mentioned that the skin, shoulders, neck, face, chest become well developed. So Nasya helps in developing strength of muscles in shoulder region. Objective of the study: To evaluate the efficacy of Svalpamasha taila Parinata keriksheeradi taila and comparative efficacy of Svalpamasha taila Nasya and Parinata Keriksheeradi Nasya in Avabahuka. Methods: 30 patients of Avabahuka, were randomly divided into two groups, Group A received Nasya Karma with Svalpamasha Taila for 14 days and the Group B received Nasya Karma with Parinata keriksheeradi taila nasya for 14 days. With help of assessment tools and gradation of symptoms, the findings of research work were statistically analyzed. Results: Results of this study shows that group A (Svaplamashataila) was more effective in reliving the symptoms of Avabahuka than Group B (Parinata keriksheeradi taila). So Group A is statistically significant than Group B

    Randomised comparison of oral and vaginal misoprostol when combined with mifepristone for termination of second trimester pregnancy

    Background: Objective of the study was to compare the effectiveness of vaginal (200µg) and oral (400µg) misoprostol when combined with mifepristone (200 mg) in termination of second trimester pregnancy.Methods: 60 women who were pregnant between 13 and 20 weeks were included in the study. They were divided into two groups by random sampling method and they all received 200 mg of mifepristone orally on day 1. 36 hours later they received 200 µg of misoprostol vaginally or 400 µg of misoprostol orally every 3 hours as determined by the random sampling method. Main outcome measures were induction abortion interval, complete abortion rate and side effects.Results: There was a statistical difference in the amount of misoprostol required in the oral and the vaginal group, the total dose being higher in the oral group. The mean induction-abortion interval in the vaginal group was 6.2 hrs  and oral group was 11.6 hrs and this difference was statistically significant. There was no statistical difference in the complete abortion rate of the two groups. There was no difference in the side effects caused by both routes of misoprostol administration.Conclusion: 200 µg misoprostol inserted vaginally is better than 400 µg of oral misoprostol, 36 hours after administration of tab.     EFFECT OF SIRAVYADHA IN THE PAIN MANAGENT OF GRIDHRASI- A CASE STUDY

    Introduction: Gridhrasi is a condition characterized by Ruk, Toda, Stambha, Spandana in Sphik pradesha and radiates downwards to Kati, Prusta, Uru, Janu, Jangha and Pada. Gridhrasi can be compared with Sciatica. Siravyadhais the major line of treatment mentioned in Ayurveda classical texts.Case study: A female patient aged 35 years; presenting with cardinal clinical signs and symptoms of Gridhrasi visited OPD with history of eight years and worsen in last two days. She was examined thoroughly and detailed history of illness was recorded. She was treated with Siravyadha atantara kandara gulpha sandhi by following proper Purva, Pradhana and Paschyat karma.Observation and Result: patient got relief in subjective parameters i.e. Ruk and Stambha. There was marked improvement in SLR test, mild improvement in Rt. Lateral Flexion and Backward extension of lumbar spine Movement. Forward Flexion and Lt. Lateral flexion of lumbar spine Movement remained unchanged.Conclusion: Siravyadha is administered in Tridoshadushti and Sarvangagatadushti. In Ghridrasi, Rakta and Kandara are Dushya and Vyana vata is major Dosha. Siravyadha corrects these imbalances by letting out the vitiated blood. The procedure was simple, economical and can be done in OPD level. It gives immediate relief of pain and stiffness

    HSAS: Hindi Subjectivity Analysis System

    With the development of Web 2.0, we are abundant with the documents expressing user's opinions, attitudes and sentiments in the textual form. This user generated textual content is an important source of information to make sound decisions by the organizations and the government. The textual information can be categorized into two types: facts and opinions. Subjectivity analysis is the automatic extraction of subjective information from the opinions posted by users and divides the content into subjective and objective sentences. Most of the works in subjectivity analysis exists for English language data but with the introduction of unicode standards UTF-8, Hindi language content on the web is growing very rapidly. In this paper, Hindi Subjectivity Analysis System (HSAS) is proposed. It explores two different methods of generating subjectivity lexicon using the available resources in English language and their comparative evaluation in performing the task of subjectivity analysis at the sentence level. The first method uses English language OpinionFinder subjectivity lexicon. The second method uses a small seed word list of Hindi language and expands it to generate subjectivity lexicon. Different evaluation strategies are used to validate the lexicon. We achieved 71.4% agreement with human annotators and ~80% accuracy in classification on a parallel data set in English and Hindi. Extensive simulations conducted on the test dataset confirm the validity of the suggested method

    Esterase Activity from the Germinated Jatropha curcas Seeds in Different Extraction buffers.

    The buffer solution plays a major role in protein stability and activity, thereby making the selection of a buffer to achievemaximum activity for a protein will be a formidable challenge. The present work constitutes an extension of this investigation to esterases from germinated Jatrophacurcas seeds. The 0.1 M NaCl solution, 0.1 M phosphate buffer pH7.0, 0.1 M citrate buffer pH 5.0 and 0.1 M Tris-HCl buffer pH 8.5, 0.1 M NaOH and distill water were used to extract protein from germinated Jatrophacurcas seeds. The esterase activity and specific activity for NaCl solution, phosphatebuffer, citrate buffer, Tris-HCl buffer, NaOH and Distilled water was 9.07, 8.6, 8.2, 6.46, 0.07 and 4.98 ÎĽmoles/min/gm and 0.09258, 0.0905, 0.088, 0.0715 0.0003 and 0.081 IU/mg, respectively.The Native-PAGE analysis showed the esterase enzyme activity in different extraction buffer.Among 13 esterase bands, 8 esterolytic bands were major bands (band no 1,3, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12 and 13)and remaining were minor bands.The amount of proteins and esterase activity were found to bethe highest when extracted with 0.1 M NaCl solution
