    Effect of thermomechanical impacts on the deformation of thin polyimide films at uniaxial tension

    Thermomechanical studies of the dependence of deformation on time (t) and temperature (T) for various static stresses in polyimide under uniaxial tension were carried out. Temporal deformation curves for static stresses in the range from 75 to 110 MPa consist of two stages: 1 - increase; 2 - exit to saturation, which is associated with a change in the nature of structural transformations of macromolecules, due to the action of the static stresses. An increase in temperature and voltage leads to an increase in the dependence e (Π’). This is due to the intensification of the processes of structuring macromolecules with increasing temperature and are supplemented by processes of breaking bonds between macromolecules, which increase the strain rate. Experimental data are described in terms of exponential and linear models

    Mineralogical and geochemical features of the Manus Basin hydrothermal sulfide ores, Bismarck Sea

    Paragenetic mineral assemblages have been established based on mineralogical, chemical, and isotope (S, Pb) studies, and the sequence of deposition has been defined in hydrothennal sulfide structures in a typical back-arc basin. The ores in the Manus basin have a prominent Zn specialization (sphalerite, wΓΌrtzite, and fe-sphalerite). An association of Fe-spbalerite and galena with Ag sulfosalts is noted that is not characteristic of typical midocean ridge hydrothennal systems. The average 34S in the sulfide minerals is 3.5%o, which corresponds to the medium-temperature sphalerite stage in hydrothermal mineral fonnation. It is suggested that the metal source is located in the relatively acid rocks of the island-arc tholeiitic series and possibly in sediments

    The Narva–Luga micro-region, situated on the border of Estonia and Russia in north-eastern Europe, has been the target of international and interdisciplinary research conducted annually between 2005 and 2014. During this time, altogether 42 new archaeological sites have been discovered, and many sites have also been excavated – in addition, a large amount of natural scientific data has been collected. All in all, over 60 Stone Age and Bronze Age sites are currently known in this micro-region. The sites date mostly between the late 6th and late 3rd millennia calBC, that is, to the cultural contexts of Narva Ware, Comb Ware, and Corded Ware. In this paper, some of the main results of the archaeological studies made during the last decade are briefly summarised

    Bronchophonography (BPG) is a functional diagnostic method for the breathing pattern assessment. It is based on an analysis of frequency-peak parameters of the breathing sound spectrum. The method allows to fix a temporary acoustic curve arising during the respiration with the subsequent mathematical processing of the data. The breathing sound fluctuation amplitude ranges within 0-12.4 kHz that permits to calculate an acoustic breathing work equivalent the lung work aimed to the breathing. Hardware-software complex displays the fixed breathing sounds and evaluates their parameters not revealed during the physical examination. The highfrequency range (5.0-12.4 kHz) corresponds to wheezing.We examined 76 bronchial asthmatic children aged from 1 to 14 years. The control group involved 48 children with no lung pathology.
