Efek Nefroprotektif Fraksi Etil Asetat Daun Kesum (Polygonum Minus Huds.) Pada Tikus Putih (Rattus Norvegicus) Galur Wistar Yang Diinduksi Cisplatin

Latar Belakang. Cisplatin digunakan sebagai agen kemoterapi kankersecara luas namun sering menyebabkan nefrotoksisitas. Kesum(Polygonum minus Huds.) merupakan tanaman yang terbukti memilikiaktivitas antioksidan kuat. Tujuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengetahui efek nefroprotektif fraksi etil asetat daun kesum pada tikusputih yang diinduksi cisplatin. Metodologi. Penelitian ini merupakanpenelitian Randomized Post Test Only Controlled Group yangmenggunakan 15 tikus putih jantan galur Wistar yang dibagi dalam 5kelompok: kontrol negatif (CMC 1%), kontrol cisplatin (5mg/kgBB),kelompok dosis I (0,707mg/200gBB), dosis II (1,414mg/200gBB) dandosis III (2,828mg/200gBB). Kelompok dosis I, II, dan III diberi fraksi etilasetat selama 10 hari secara per oral dan diinduksi dosis tunggal cisplatinhari ke-5 secara intraperitonial. Fraksi etil asetat daun kesum diperolehdengan cara maserasi dengan larutan metanol 70% dan dilanjutkandengan fraksinasi cair-cair. Efek nefroprotektif diukur berdasarkan kadarureum dan kreatinin serum serta gambaran histopatologi kerusakan seltubulus proksimal ginjal. Teknik analisis data menggunakan One wayANOVA dilanjutkan dengan LSD Post Hoc Test. Hasil. Fraksi etil asetatdaun kesum dosis I, II, dan III memberikan efek pencegahannefrotoksisitas cisplatin yang ditunjukkan dengan kadar ureum dankreatinin serum serta gambaran histopatologi ginjal yang berbedasignifikan dengan kontrol cisplatin (p<0,05). Hasil penelitian jugamenunjukkan bahwa pemberian fraksi etil asetat daun kesum memilikiefek nefroprotektif yang meningkat seiring dengan peningkatan dosis.Kesimpulan. Fraksi etil asetat daun kesum (Polygonum minus Huds.)dapat memberikan efek nefroprotektif pada tikus putih yang diinduksicisplatin

Adolescent who struggle with sense of identity experienced many shocks for instance involving in brawl, drugs, crime, free sex and so forth. In relation to the case, the delinquency behavior occur likely in the period of adolescent development. The delinquency behavior is interpreted as a naughty child behavior even it inclined to break the law. There are many of causes of this delinquency behavior. According to some sources that the authors describe, it shows that physical punishment of children in schools is not a major factor of delinquency adolescent behavior. However, in this paper, it has not been discussed in detail if the physical punishment of children received parental upbringing. Efektifitas Inseminasi Buatan Pada Sapi Potong Menggunakan Semen Cair

This research aims to determine the level of effectiveness of artificial insemination in Locally bull using liquid cement based on conception rate (CR) and service per conception (S/C) in Kab. Mamuju Utara Sulawesi Barat Province. And to study the economic value of artificia insemination using liquid semen on local bull in Kab. Mamuju Utara Sulawesi Barat Province. This research used survey methode and record 109 cattle that have been inseminated from 36 farmer in Kabupaten Mamuju Utara Sulawesi Barat Province. Liquid semen that used is from Simental, Limosin and Bali breed. The data is analised by deskripted statistic. Result of this research is shown 93,3 % (94 : 109 cattle) or S/C is 1,08. The cost of using liquid semen on the implemantation AI per pregnancy is Rp. 178.200,- lower178% compared by AI using a frozen semen. Efek Pemberian Ekstrak Rumput Fatimah (Labisia Pumila) Terhadap Osteokalsin Serum Dan Deoxypiridinolin Urin Pada Tikus Post Ovariektomi

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek pemberian ekstrak rumput fatimah (Labisia pumila) terhadap osteokalsin serum dan deoxypiridinolin urin pada tikus post ovariektomi. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental, dilakukan di laboratorium Farmakologi dan Fisiologi FakultasKedokteran Universitas Brawijaya malang. Menggunakan tikus ovariektomi. Penelitian ini dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok, yaitu 1 kelompok kontrol negatif, 1 kelompok kontrol positif dan 3 kelompok perlakuan pemberian ekstrak rumput fatimah. Pengukuran osteokalsin dan deoxypiridinolin menggunakanelisa kit. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis data. Hasil : Terdapat pengaruh pemberian ekstrak rumput fatimah terhadap penurunan osteokalsin serum dan peningkatan deoxypiridinolin urin pada tikus post ovariektomi. Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara ekspresi deoxypiridinolin dengan ekspresi osteokalsin, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Perubahan ekspresi deoxypiridinolin tidak diikuti Perubahan pada ekspresi osteokalsin. Pemberian rumput fatimah mampu mempengaruhi Perubahan ekspresi deoxypiridinolin sebesar 53,46% dan Perubahan ekspresi osteokalsin sebesar 66,97%. Sisanya dijelaskan oleh faktor lain yang tidak terlibat dalam penelitian. Kesimpulan : Pemberian ekstrak rumput fatimah dapat menurunkan osteokalsin serum dan meningkatkan deoxypiridinolin urin pada tikus postovariektomi

Kelimpahan Populasi, Preferensi Dan Karakter Kebugaran Menochilus Sexmaculatus (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) Predator Kutudaun Pada Pertanaman Cabai

This predator is efective to control population of aphids, so the aim of research was to study the field population abundance, predator preference to this prey, and fitness character of M. sexmaculatus as predator. The population fluctuation was observed at conventional and organic farming. The preference test was conducted by choice and no choice test for some types of prey. Fitness test was performed by studying its prey, the number of eggs produced and number of eggs hatched. The results showed that M. sexmaculatus population abundance was fluctuated, the abundance higher in Chili cultivated conventionaly than cultivated in organic farming. But in conventional farming decreased with increasing age of Chili. Preference test showed that almost all species of aphids preferred by M. sexmaculatus. Some prey species found were aphids, thrips and Neotoxoptera. Predator fitness levels showed by the longevity of females ranged 9-10 days. Oviposition period was on average five days, while the post-oviposition was two days. The number of eggs produced ranged 100-200 eggs with an average of 135.3 eggs
