Interval data fusion with preference aggregation in wireless sensor network: energy-accuracy trade-off in presence of outliers

    Get PDF
For balancing measurement accuracy and energy consumption in a wireless sensor network in presence of outliers it is proposed sensor accuracy enhancement algorithm SensAcc and active node selection algorithm ActiveNode based on the interval data fusion method IF&PA. The results of numerical experimental investigation of the developed algorithms are presented. It is shown that the SensAcc provides the reduction of the uncertainty of measurement result at least tenfold comparing with the uncertainty of multisensor readings under possible existence of failed nodes. Simulation results have shown the ActiveNode allows to reduce the cluster nodes energy consumption approximately threefold

Data analysis of energy surveys by preference aggregation method

    Get PDF
Systematic conducting energy surveys of power networks to identify a possible energy loss is the basis for energy saving and energy efficiency. In the paper, a preference aggregation based method is proposed to arrange the big data of instrumental investigations of auxiliary power consumption by substations of electric power distribution networks. This approach provides a compact integral ordinal scale estimate of substations' energy consumption for own needs, which can provide a rapid decision making and visualization. Application of the proposed method for processing energy survey data of real backbone electric grids of Russia is discussed

Criminal Case Returning to the Prosecutor for the Change of Charges: is the Special Order of Criminal Investigation Necessary?

The paper is devoted to the application of Article 237 of the RF Criminal Procedure Code concerning the decision of the RF Constitutional Court issued in July 2, 2013, № 16-P. The author draws attention to some difficulties which may cause the foundations expansion for returning of the criminal case to the prosecutor. The author considers that requalification in the court for a defendant’s worse state is a more affective way for legislation changing

On the interaction of exponential non-viscous damping with symmetric nonlinearities

    Get PDF
This paper studies the interaction between non-viscous damping and nonlinearities for nonlinear oscillators with reflection symmetry. The non-viscous damping function is an exponential damping model which adds a decaying memory property to the damping term of the oscillator. We consider the case of softening and hardening behaviour in the frequency response of the system. Numerical simulations of the Duffing oscillator show a significant enhancement of the resonance peaks for increasing levels of non-viscous damping parameter in the hardening case, but not in the softening case. This can be explained in the general context by an energy balance analysis of the undamped unforced oscillator, which shows that for hardening nonlinearities the growth of damping with the energy level is an order of magnitude smaller in the exponential case than in the viscous case

Experience of Using Multilayer Virtual Partitioning in Laboratory Complex Construction

Continuous development of information technology especially complicates the task of conducting practical exercises in the process of studying them. The use of typical virtual laboratory complexes brings partial solution for this problem, but completely abstracts the student. The article shows how the use of virtual and real components in a laboratory complex allows more fully use existing equipment, increase the number of students and deepen their practical skills in constructing modern data transmission systems
