CV. Citra Jaya Mandiri merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang penjualan computer dan cctv, dengan meningkatnya persaingan bisnis dan semakin bersaingnya antar perusahaan sejenis membuat CV. Citra Jaya mandiri ingin mengembangkan sebuah website dalam menghadapi persaingan tersebut. Alasan ini dikarenakan saat ini CV. Citra Jaya mandiri hanya mengandalkan sistem penjualan yang tradisional dalam hal ini pembeli langsung datang ke perusahaan dalam bertransaksi, sistem tersebut setidaknya memberikan beberapa masalah antara lain pangsa pasar yang tidak dapat dijangkau secara luas, informasi berita promosi juga belum dapat diakses oleh pelanggan secara cepat dan mudah. Melihat adanya masalah tersebut membuat saya selaku penulis skripsi ingin mengembangkan sebuah website yang membantu semua permasalahan yang ada.Website yang dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemograman PHP dan MYSQL sebagai DBMS dengan konsep tema E-Commerce. Website ini dibuat dengan disertai pelaporan penulisan. Dalam hal penulisan, penulis menggunakan metodologi RUP sebagai metode pengembangan sistem dengan usecase dan PIECES sebagai alat bantu analisis kebutuhan dan permasalahan. This reaserch aims to analyze how consumer attitudes on social media, especially YouTube and the factor consumer’s attitudes towards online video advertisement on YouTube. This type of research is basic research with causal purposes and uses a quantitative research approach. This study also uses a purposive sampling approach which is a sampling technique based on the purpose of getting a sample of people who have met the criteria that have been set. The analysis in this study is SEM (Structural Equation Modeling), which data processing uses the help of SPSS version 18.0 software and Graphics version 22.0 which is used for testing Measurement Models and Structural Models. The focus of this chapter will be on the intersections from the perspective of the viewer and it will reflect on the intimate connection between contemplation and complicity, between veneration and perversion, and between violence, sexuality, testimony and the sacred. What do our politicized, spiritualized, or sexualized gazes at violence imply? Obviously, we do not claim to know what individual persons believe or experience when they are spiritually moved by the crucifixion narratives or its visual representations. Our intention is to critically highlight possible meanings of the fact that this grotesque story of (sexualized) violence has become such an important source for spiritual contemplation. We do so by exploring three dimensions of gazing at the crucified body: the politicized gaze of sexualized violence, the spiritualized gaze of the political violence, and the sexualized gaze of spiritual violence

Effects of gastric bypass surgery on expression of glucose transporters and fibrotic biomarkers in kidney of diabetic fatty rats

BACKGROUND: Diabetic nephropathy is the leading cause of chronic kidney disease. Observational studies suggest Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) reduces progression of diabetic nephropathy. OBJECTIVES: To unravel the mechanisms by which RYGB is beneficial and protective for diabetic nephropathy. SETTING: Academic laboratories. METHODS: Forty-eight Zucker diabetic fatty rats were randomized to RYGB, sham surgery (SHAM), or pair-fed (PF) groups. An oral glucose tolerance test was performed at 25 days post intervention and kidneys were harvested at 30 days. Primary outcome measures included expression of key genes and proteins in the glucose transport, oxidative stress, inflammation, and fibrosis pathways. RESULTS: Thirty days post intervention, RYGB rats weighed 349 ± 8 g, which was lower than SHAM (436 ± 14 g, P < .001), but not PF (374 ± 18 g) rats. RYGB rats had lower fasting glucose than PF animals and improved homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance compared with PF and SHAM groups. These enhanced metabolic outcomes were accompanied by reduced sodium-glucose co-transporter 1 (Sglt1) gene expression (-23% versus PF, P = .01) in the kidney of RYGB rats. Expression of Sglt2, Glut1, or Glut2 mRNA, or oxidative stress and inflammation markers did not differ significantly. However, RYGB surgery induced a 19% lower expression of transforming growth factor (Tgfβ) mRNA (P = .004) compared with SHAM treated animals. Notably, adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase phosphorylation was increased (P = .04) in kidneys of the RYGB surgery animals. CONCLUSIONS: Improvement of hyperglycemia after RYGB may reduce the glucose load on the kidney leading to a downregulation of specific glucose transporters. RYGB surgery may also attenuate kidney fibrosis through the adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase/TGFβ pathway.status: publishe

Increased carotid intima-media thickness in children with a history of dengue hemorrhagic fever

We assessed carotid intima-media thickness (cIMT) and arterial stiffness in 28 children and adolescents with previous dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) (mean interval between DHF and cardiovascular assessment, 8.4 years), and 34 controls in a low-resource setting. Participants with previous DHF had an adjusted increased cIMT of 42.6 µm (95% confidence interval [CI]: 10.0-75.3, P = 0.01), and 61.7 µm (95% CI: 21.5-102.0, P < 0.01) in a subgroup analysis on dengue shock syndrome.
