This paper will explore the existence of the contract has a crucial role in Islamic financial transactions with a number of implications posed. One of that in Islam there is freedom to determine the contract with all the terms and forms of contract desired by the parties, provided that the contract is voluntary and is not included in the prohibition of sharia\u27. On this basis, the core of the contract which is carried out in Islam is to create benefits for the parties to the agreement for an Islamic financial transactions

Empowering Self-Reliant Students: Navigating the Covid-19 Era as Autonomous Santri

    Get PDF
This study investigates the effects that the COVID-19 epidemic had on the Ainul Yaqin Islamic Boarding College of the University of Islam Malang and its choice to use distance learning for all educational endeavors as a result of those effects. The research method used in this study is called a qualitative case study, and it uses many approaches to data collecting, such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The processes of gathering, reducing, presenting, and deriving conclusions from the data are included in data analysis. According to the findings, the implementation of remote learning has resulted in a shift in the emphasis placed on developing students characters. More specifically, more emphasis has been placed on the character characteristics of discipline, independence, and responsibility, which are crucial in an environment involving distance learning. These character qualities are honed throughout ones life through the cultivation of four stages and components of character: moral belief, moral action, moral responsibility, and moral awareness

Aseismic and seismic impact on development of soft-sediment deformation structures in deep-marine sand-shaly Crocker fan in Sabah, NW Borneo

    Get PDF
Abstract Soft-sediment deformation structures are present within the deep-marine fan of the West Crocker Formation, Sabah Basin, NW Borneo. Focus of this study is to highlight the impact of seismic and aseismic activities on the development of these structures and their distribution in deep-marine fan. Twenty-nine types of deformation structures were identified during the study of twelve exposed sections. These structures were grouped into five categories: i) water-escape structures, ii) sole marks, iii) clastic intrusions, iv) deformed laminations, and v) syn-depositional brittle and ductile deformation structures. The sediment deformation is interpreted to be caused either by aseismic processes like slope failure, gravity collapse, sediment overloading, density gradient, seismic induced mechanisms such as earthquakes, tectonic uplift, or combined effect of seismic and aseismic events. These structures are classified based on type of features developed during semi-consolidated phase of rock deposition. The seismite structures i.e., clastic intrusions, deformed laminations, and syn-depositional structures are correlated with active collisional tectonics during the Late Paleogene times in the Sabah Basin. In the present work, a generalized conceptual model has also been proposed for the development of soft-sediment deformation structures in a submarine fan environment. Dewatering structurers and rapid sedimentation features are associated with inner fan, load and flame structures are present within middle fan, while contorted layers, slumps and mass-transport deposits are linked with distal fan settings

Competency of Chemistry Teachers Based on Self-Evaluation to Plan the Chemistry Teacher Training Strategy in Palu City, Central Sulawesi

The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of the pedagogical, personal, social and professional competence of chemistry teachers in Palu City. This study used descriptive method with document study and interview techniques. The results of study showed the competency of chemistry teachers in Palu City was 74. The pedagogical competency score was 71 with the implementation of assessment, process evaluation, and learning outcomes with a value of 66 as a low sub competency. The personality competency score was 81 with self-presentation as a stable, stable, fair and authoritative person with a score of 77 as a low sub competency. Social competence score was 74 with communication with the professional community itself and other professions verbally and in writing or other forms with a value of 67 as a low sub competency. The professional competence score was 70 in the development of professionalism on an ongoing basis by taking reflective actions with a value of 66 as a low sub competency. The number of chemistry teachers who still need to improve pedagogical competence was 33 (87%), in personality competence was 15 (61%), in social competence was 25 (66%), and in professional competence was 33 (87%).ย  It can be concluded that strategies to increase the competency of chemistry teachers in Palu City were direct mentoring by school principals and supervisors, training at the MGMP level, Education Office, LPMP, P4TK and LPTK, IHT, Workshop, and Technical guidance. The presentation model of training material is connected, scientific and character. Keywords: competency, mapping, self-evaluation, chemistry teachers DOI: 10.7176/JEP/11-6-11 Publication date: February 29th 202

What makes tourists satisfied? an empirical study on Malaysian Islamic tourist destination

The main objective of this study is to explore influencial factors that lead to touristโ€™s satisfaction in destination based Islamic tourist destinations in Malaysia. This research is necessary to provide a better understanding of the Muslim tourist satisfaction in Malaysian Islamic tourist destination in the different facets. The identification of influencing factors that make Muslim tourist satisfied help Islamic destination marketer to make strategic marketing plans. Multiple Regressions was employed to identify the relationship among the variables. From the analysis it was found that destination image, religious motivation and service quality have a positive relationship with tourist satisfaction on islamic tourist destination in Malaysi

Modified JSEG algorithm for reducing over-segmentation problems in underwater coral reef images

    Get PDF
The original JSEG algorithm has proved to be very useful and robust in variety of image segmentation case studies. However, when it is applied into the underwater coral reef images, the original JSEG algorithm produces over-segementation problem, thus making this algorithm futile in such a situation. In this paper, an approach to reduce the over-segmentation problem occurred in the underwater coral reef image segmentation is presented. The approach works by replacing the color histogram computation in region merge stage of the original JSEG algorithm with the new computation of color and texture features in the similarity measurement. Based on the perceptual observation results of the test images, the proposed modified JSEG algorithm could automatically segment the regions better than the original JSEG algorithm

Optimization of discrete wavelet transform features using artificial bee colony algorithm for texture image classification

    Get PDF
Selection of appropriate image texture properties is one of the major issues in texture classification. This paper presents an optimization technique for automatic selection of multi-scale discrete wavelet transform features using artificial bee colony algorithm for robust texture classification performance. In this paper, an artificial bee colony algorithm has been used to find the best combination of wavelet filters with the correct number of decomposition level in the discrete wavelet transform.ย  The multi-layered perceptron neural network is employed as an image texture classifier.ย  The proposed method tested on a high-resolution database of UMD texture. The texture classification results show that the proposed method could provide an automated approach for finding the best input parameters combination setting for discrete wavelet transform features that lead to the best classification accuracy performance
