Abstract. The adsorbent beads that was preparation from Saccharomycess cereviceae culture strain FN CC 3012 and shrimp shells waste and its application for adsorption of Cd (II) metal ion has been studied. The study start with combination of Saccharomycess cereviceae biomass to chitosan (Sc-Chi), contact time, pH of solution and initial concentration of cations. Total Cd(II) metal ion adsorbed was calculated from the difference of metal ion concentration before and after adsorption by AAS. The results showed that optimum condition for adsorption of Cd(II) ions by Sc-Chi beads was achieved with solution pH of 4, contact time of 60 minutes and initial concentration adsorption 100mg/L. The hydroxyl (-OH) and amino (-NH2) functional groups were believed to be responsible for the adsorption of Cd(II) ions

The aim of this paper is to examine the nature, scope and importance of philosophy in the light of its relation to other disciplines. This work pays its focus on the various fundamental problems of philosophy, relating to Ethics, Metaphysics, Epistemology Logic, and its association with scientific realism. It will also highlight the various facets of these problems and the role of philosophers to point out the various issues relating to human issues. It is widely agreed that philosophy as a multi-dimensional subject that shows affinity to others branches of philosophy like, Philosophy of Science, Humanities, Physics and Mathematics, but this paper also seeks, a philosophical nature towards the universal problems of nature. It evaluates the contribution and sacrifices of the great sages of philosophers to promote the clarity and progress in the field of philosophy

AbstractThe variables used in this study are personal factors, organizational factors, and non-organizational factors. The research objective is to describe the Organizational Commitment which includes Personal Factors, Organizational Factors and Non-Organizational Factors at Grab Drivers in Lowokwaru District Malang, to identify and analyze the significant influence of Personal Factors, Organizational Factors and Non-Organizational Factors simultaneously or partially on Organizational Commitment. driver Grabin Lowokwaru Malang District. The population in this study is thecommunity driver restoin the District of Lowokwaru Malang, amounting to 90 drivers. The sample in this study amounted to 90 respondents. The sampling technique used in this research is saturated sampling technique. The data analysis method used is the Instrument Test, Multiple Linear Analysis, Hypothesis Test and Coefficient of Determination. From the results of the description analysis, it is concluded that in general the respondents agree with Personal Factors, Organizational Factors and Non-Organizational Factors also have a high enough Organizational Commitment, but in this study Non-Organizational Factors have no significant effect on Organizational Commitment. Based on the results of the Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, it can be seen that the Sig. from non-organizational factors of 0.818> 0.05. In the t test, it was concluded that personal factors, organizational factors and non-organizational factors simultaneously affected Organizational Commitment with the Sig. equal to 0.00 <0.05. This is evidenced by the coefficient of determination of the adjusted R Square value of 161, which means that the dependent variable has a contribution of 16.1% to the independent variable. As for partially but not significant effect on Non-Organizational Factors on Organizational Commitment as evidenced by each Beta coefficient on the t test for Personal Factors (0.325), Organizational Factors (0.252), Non-Organizational Factors (0.025) have no significant effect on Organizational Commitment. on the driver Grab in Lowokwaru Malang District.  Keywords: Personal Factors, Organizational Factors, Non-Organizational Factors and Organizational Commitment

Abstract: An application of Saccharomycess cereviceae biomass immobilized on chitosan (SC-Chi adsorbent) for Pb(II) ion removal was demonstrated. Adsorption experiment was conducted at various mass ratio of Saccharomycess cereviceae biomass to chitosan, contact time, pH of solution and concentration of cation. Total Pb(II) metal ion adsorbed was calculated from the difference of the amount of metal ion before and after adsorption which was measured by AAS. The results showed that optimum condition for adsorption of Pb(II) ion by the SC-Chi was achieved using mass ratio of Saccharomycess cereviceae to chitosan of 50% (w/w), pH solution of 7, contact time of 60 min and concentration of 25 mgL-1. The hydroxyl (-OH) and amino (-NH2) functional groups are believed to be responsible for the adsorption of Pb(II) ion by the adsorbent

The focus of this paper is to depict the subjugation of women in Githa Hariharan’s prestigious novel, When Dreams Travel. This novel of Githa Hariharan investigates the possibility of women’s presence, survival and personality emergency alongside different dimensions. At the point When Dreams Travel depicts the subjugation and oppression of women in patriarchal society. Apparently, Hariharan's direction is absolutely remarkable and described in an ornate way. Githa Hariharan's When Dreams Travel is revised aspect of Middle Eastern myth “A Thousand and One Nights”. By re-revealing to Shahrzad's story from a feministic viewpoint, Hariharan forces upon the reader an entire re-evaluating of the revulsion of women so clear in the celebrated interpretations of medieval anthologies

A critical relation between mind and logic in the philosophy of wittgenstein: An analytical study

    Get PDF
This paper deals with the study of the nature of mind, its processes and its relations with the other filed known as logic, especially the contribution of most notable contemporary analytical philosophy Ludwig Wittgenstein. Wittgenstein showed a critical relation between the mind and logic. He assumed that every mental process is logical. Mental field is field of space and time and logical field is a field of reasoning (inductive and deductive). It is only with the advancement in logic, we are today in the era of scientific progress and technology. Logic played an important role in the cognitive part or we can say in the ‗philosophy of mind‘ that this branch is developed only because of three crucial theories i.e. rationalism, empiricism, and criticism. In this paper, it is argued that innate ideas or truth are equated with deduction and acquired truths are related with induction. This article also enhance the role of language in the makeup of the world of mind, although mind and the thought are the terms that are used by the philosophers synonymously but in this paper they are taken and interpreted differently. It shows the development in the analytical tradition subjected to the areas of mind and logic and their critical relation
