A Novel Planar Fractal Antenna with CPW-Feed for Multiband applications

    Get PDF
In this paper, a multiband antenna using a novel fractal design is presented. The antenna structure is formed by inscribing a hexagonal slot within a circle. This base structure is then scaled and arranged within the hexagon along its sides without touching the outer structure. The proposed CPW fed, low profile antenna offers good performance in the 1.65-2.59 GHz, 4.16-4.52 GHz and 5.54-6.42 GHz bands and is suitable for GSM 1800/1900, Bluetooth, IMT advanced system and upper WLAN applications. The antenna has been fabricated on a substrate of height 1.6mm and er=4.4 and simulation and experimental results are found to be in good agreement

Frequency Coded Chipless RFID Tag using Spurline Resonators

    Get PDF
A novel compact chipless RFID tag using spurline resonators is discussed in this paper. The detection of the tag's ID is using the spectral signature of a spurline resonator circuit. The tag has a data capacity of 8-bits in the range 2.38 to 4.04 GHz. The tag consists of a spurline multiresonating circuit and two cross polarised antennas. The prototype of the tag is fabricated on a substrate C-MET/LK4.3 of dielectric constant 4.3 and loss tangent 0.0018. The measured results show that group delay response can also be used to decode the tag’s identity

Some Differential Subordination Results for a Class of Starlike Functions

In this paper, first order differential subordination implication results are derived for Sϱ,\mathcal{S}^{*}_{\varrho}, a subclass of starlike functions, defined as Sϱ={fA:zf(z)f(z)ϱ(z):=coshz,zD},\mathcal{S}^{*}_{\varrho}=\left\{f\in\mathcal{A}:\frac{zf'(z)}{f(z)}\prec \varrho(z):=\cosh \sqrt{z} ,z\in\mathbb{D}\right\}, where we choose the branch of the square root function so that coshz=1+z/2!+z2/4!+.\cosh\sqrt{z}=1+z/2!+z^{2}/{4!}+\cdots. Further we deduce Briot-Bouquet differential subordination results along with some examples.Comment: arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with arXiv:2201.0581

On a Class of Generalized Elliptic-type Integrals

    Get PDF
The aim of this paper is to study a generalized form of elliptic-type integrals which unify and extend various families of elliptic-type integrals studied recently by several authors. In a recent communication [1] we have obtained recurrence relations and asymptotic formula for this generalized elliptic-type integral. Here we shall obtain some more results which are single and multiple integral formulae, differentiation formula, fractional integral and approximations for this class of generalized elliptic-type integrals

    On Generalized Hurwitz-Lerch Zeta Distributions

    Get PDF
In this paper, we introduce a function which is an extension to the general Hurwitz-Lerch Zeta function. Having defined the incomplete generalized beta type-2 and incomplete generalized gamma functions, some differentiation formulae are established for these incomplete functions. We have introduced two new statistical distributions, termed as generalized Hurwitz-Lerch Zeta beta type-2 distribution and generalized Hurwitz-Lerch Zeta gamma distribution and then derived the expressions for the moments, distribution function, the survivor function, the hazard rate function and the mean residue life function for these distributions. Graphs for both these distributions are given, which reflect the role of shape and scale parameters

Stand structure of a primate rich rainforest region in the central Western Ghats of Southern India

    Get PDF
The Western Ghats of southern India are one of the most important biodiversity regions in the world, not only due to their faunal diversity and abundance but also due to different habitat types, floral diversity and the presence of several endemic plant species. The rainforests in the central Western Ghats are inhabited by several primate species. We investigated the vegetation pattern and tree species occupancy of one of the prime primate habitats in the central Western Ghats. Lion-tailed Macaque (Macaca silenus), Bonnet Macaque (Macaca radiata), Hanuman Langur (Semnopithecus entellus achates) and Malabar Slender Loris (Loris lydekkerianus malabaricus) inhabit the study area. We studied the density, dominance, frequency and Importance Value Index (IVI) of different tree species, using the belt transect method on randomly selected plots covering 4.1ha. We found that all the plant species that emerged to be the most dominant species with high IVI in the forest were also used by the diurnal primates for foraging. Knema attenuata and Syzygium gardneri were found to be the 'keystone' species. Since the forests of the study area do not come under the 'protected area network' for wildlife, the data obtained during this study will be helpful in the forestry management practices with a view for wildlife conservation of the region

Compact Tunable Filters for Broadband Applications

    Get PDF
AbstractMicrowave filters are essential components of modern communication systems. Miniaturization of microwave filters is of much demand in today's rapidly changing communication world with ever more growing wireless applications. The paper presents compact tunable band pass filters to provide multiple bands of operation. The filter employs tunable/chip inductors along with an inter-digital coupled line for introducing transmission zeros on both band edges. Tunability is achieved by varying the inductor values. The stop band attenuation is improved by etching Complementary Split Ring Resonators (CSRR's) and Defected Ground Structures (DGS) in the ground plane
