La construction spéculaire du moi à travers la fiction dans “Que ma joie demeure” de Michel Tournier

Thematically omnipresent, the specular construction of identity plays a key role as a structural device in Michel Tournier’s works. The permanent dialogue between opposites, together with a multi-layered referential system, constantly obliges us to redefine the generic status of his texts. This paper analyses this issue in “Que ma joie demeure” (1978), published a few months later than Le Vent Paraclet, the only “autobiographical” text by the author. By taking as a reference the clown character and the dynamics of the circus show, and following Walter Benjamin’s concepts of Erlebnis and Erfahrung, we propose two possible and complementary readings of the tale. Both of them focus on the triple procedure of inversion, mythification and appropriation, used by Tournier to question the constitutive unit of the individual and to blur the limits between (auto)biography and fiction.La construcción especular de la identidad, omnipresente en el ámbito temático, desempeña un papel fundamental como mecanismo estructural en la obra de Michel Tournier. Tanto es así, que el diálogo permanente entre contrarios, así como la superposición de niveles referenciales que se produce en sus textos, nos obligan a reflexionar sobre la adscripción genérica de los mismos. El presente artículo estudia dicho fenómeno en Que ma joie demeure (1978) publicado unos meses más tarde que Le Vent Paraclet, único texto “autobiográfico” del autor. Tomando como punto de referencia la figura del payaso y la dinámica del espectáculo circense, y basándonos en los conceptos benjaminianos de Erlebnis y Erfahrung, proponemos dos lecturas posibles y complementarias del cuento. Cet article analyse ce phénomène dans “Que ma joie demeure” (1978), publié quelques mois après Le Vent Paraclet, seul texte “autobiographique” de l’auteur. A partir de l’étude de la dynamique du spectacle clownesque, et en nous appuyant sur les concepts benjaminiens d’Erlebnis et Erfahrung, nous proposons deux lectures complémentaires du conte. El objetivo de este trabajo es exponer el método de Lanczos, un procedimiento que sirve para aproximar numéricamente los autovalores de matrices simétricas (o hermíticas en caso de tener coeficientes complejos), dispersas y de gran tamaño, y que puede ser aplicado para, entre otros, resolver sistemas lineales o de mínimos cuadrados. Para ello, se emplean resultados y conceptos básicos relacionados tanto con el Álgebra como con el Cálculo Numérico, siendo fundamentales por ello las asignaturas de “Álgebra y Geometría Lineal I”, “Cálculo Numérico”, “Análisis Numérico” y “Ampliación de Análisis Numérico”.Grado en Matemática

Pour une littérature fiduciaire: inscriptions du signe monétaire et (re)problématisations de l’écriture dans l’oeuvre de Tanguy Viel

Més enllà de la simple tematització dels diners i de la seva influència sobre les existències individuals i les relacions socials dels personatges, bona part de la narrativa de Tanguy Viel problematitza l’economia monetària com a sistema d’intercanvi simbòlic en la seva doble dimensió semiòtico-estructural i sociosimbòlica. Aquesta problematització es porta a terme mitjançant la reinterpretació dels codis genèrics i l’exploració del concepte mateix de ficció, no únicament com a principi constituent del text literari, sinó com a fonament ontològic de tot intercanvi simbòlic. El present article planteja la possibilitat de llegir en la poètica de l’autor algunes de les claus de l’evolució de la narrativa francesa de l’extrem contemporani a partir del seu diàleg amb l’economia monetària.Beyond the literary treatment of money as a theme and its influence on characters’ individual lives and social relationships, a significant part of Tanguy Viel’s work questions monetary economics as a symbolic system of exchange in its double dimension, semiotic-structural and socio-symbolic. Said problematization is carried out through the re-interpretation of generic codes and the exploration of the notion of fiction itself, not just as the fundamental principle of the literary text but as the ontological basis of any symbolic exchange. This article suggests that Viel’s poetics offer some of the keys to the evolution of contemporary French narrative in light of its dialogue with monetary economics.Au-delà d’une simple thématisation de l’argent et de son influence sur les existences individuelles et les rapports sociaux des personnages, Tanguy Viel entreprend dans plusieurs de ses romans de problématiser l’économie monétaire en tant que système d’échange symbolique à double nature : sémiotique-structurale et socio-symbolique. Une problématisation axée sur une relecture des codes génériques et une remise en question de l’idée même de fiction, non seulement en tant que principe constitutif du texte littéraire, mais également en tant que fondement ontologique de tout échange symbolique. Notre étude interrogera la possibilité de lire dans la poétique de la fiction développée par l’auteur quelques clés fondamentales pour comprendre l’évolution de la littérature française de l’extrême contemporain à la lumière de son dialogue avec l’économie monétaire

Un modelo de potencial nuclear utilizando potenciales de contacto

En el presente trabajo se estudia una partícula no relativista sujeta a un potencial tridimensional esféricamente simétrico consistente en un pozo finito, una interacción del tipo coulómbico, y radial δ-δ' de contacto en el borde del pozo. Considerando el potencial de Woods-Saxon y definiendo las condiciones de contorno apropiadas para las funciones radiales, fijando así una extensión auto-adjunta del hamiltoniano no singular, se encuentra analíticamente la función de onda de dicha partícula. Los estados ligados existentes son estudiados en detalle, y se extienden algunos de los resultados de ordenación de estados para potenciales continuos esféricamente simétricos. El presente estudio sirve como una primera aproximación a un modelo nuclear de campo medio. Los resultados obtenidos con este modelo son contrastados con los obtenidos al resolver numéricamente el modelo clásico de Woods-Saxon para nucleones que completan algunos isótopos doblemente mágicos.In this work we study a non-relativistic particle subject to a three-dimensional spherical potential consisting of a finite well, a Coulombic potential and a radial δ-δ' contact interaction at the well edge. Considering the Woods-Saxon potential and defining the appropriate matching conditions for the radial functions, thereby fixing a self-adjoint extension of the non-singular Hamiltonian, analytical solutions for the wave function of this particle are calculated. The existing bound states are thoroughly studied, and some of the well-known ordering properties of continuous spherically symmetric potentials are extended. The present study is implemented as a first approximation for a mean-field nuclear model. Results derived within this model are compared with the ones obtained by solving numerically the classical Woods-Saxon model for nucleons which complete double magic nuclei.Grado en Físic

I Did Not Know This Was Here: Sixteenth-Century English Books of Controversy at the Historical Library of Santa Cruz (Valladolid) and their Provenance

This BA Dissertation describes bibliographically ten books from the Historical Library of Santa Cruz (Valladolid) and examines the direct evidence of provenance present in them in order to find out more about the history of their circulation. These books have been selected for their analysis on the basis of having been written by English authors in the sixteenth century and touching the Catholic – Protestant polemists of the time, and consists of works by John Bridgewater, Robert Persons, Nicholas Sanders, and Thomas Stapleton. In addition, the analyzed books have been searched for in other libraries of Spain to determine their rarity.Este trabajo describe bibliográficamente diez libros pertenecientes a la Biblioteca Histórica de Santa Cruz (Valladolid) y examina las pruebas directas de procedencia de los mismos para averiguar cuál es la historia de su circulación. Estos libros fueron seleccionados en base a su autoría por parte de autores ingleses del siglo XVI y a los temas que tratan: la controversia católica y protestante de la época, con autores como John Bridgewater, Robert Persons, Nicholas Sanders y Thomas Stapleton. Además, también se ha buscado si las mismas ediciones de estos libros se encuentran en otras bibliotecas de España para determinar su rareza.Grado en Estudios Inglese

A solvable contact potential based on a nuclear model

Producción CientíficaWe extend previous works on the study of a particle subject to a three-dimensional spherical singular potential including a δ–δ′ contact interaction. In this case, to have a more realistic model, we add a Coulombic term to a finite well and a radial δ–δ′ contact interaction just at the edge of the well, which is where the surface of the nucleus would be. We first prove that the we are able to define the contact potential by matching conditions for the radial function, fixing a self-adjoint extension of the non-singular Hamiltonian. With these matching conditions, we are able to find analytic solutions of the wave function and focus the analysis on the bound state structure characterizing and computing the number of bound states. For this approximation for a mean-field Woods–Saxon model, the Coulombic term enables us to complete the previous study for neutrons analyzing the proton energy levels in some doubly magic nuclei. Nutritional Status of Non-Institutionalized Adults Aged over 65. Study of Weight and Health in Older Adults (PYSMA)

Background. A significant increase in the prevalence of malnourishment, obesity, and sarcopenic obesity has been observed in developed countries over the last few decades. In Spain, this especially happens in populations over 65 who are not institutionalized. Differences in lifestyle, medication, and economic capacity partially explain this increase. Objective. To study the nutritional status of a population of 65 year-olds and subjects who are not institutionalized, in the Cadiz region (Spain). Methods. Observational, transversal study carried out on 2621 subjects who are 65 years old and over, with a direct weight and height measurement, in 150 pharmacy offices from 44 locations. A mobile application was designed for homogeneous data collection in all the pharmacy offices. The data required from all subjects was gender, age, postal code, social security contribution regime, if the patient lives alone, type of food consumed as the main meals, level of physical activity, polypharmacy, weight, and height. Results. The prevalence of overweight and obesity amounts to 82.2% of the population (43.2% overweight and 39% obese). We found an inverse relationship between the prevalence of overweight and obesity with carrying out physical activity and having full dinners. Conclusion. We identify the need to reinforce the messages to the elderly aimed at maintaining adequate physical activity and assessing the quality and quantity of dinners, as well as reducing, as much as possible, the treatments that may lead to weight gain
