Diseño de listas de chequeo para la aplicación de las guías de buenas practicas de seguridad del paciente

El presente trabajo hace referencia a el Desarrollo de Listas de Chequeo para la aplicación de las Guías de Buenas Prácticas para la Seguridad el Paciente que desarrolla el Ministerio de Salud y Protección Social, en la búsqueda del desarrollo de una herramienta que permita la implementación de las estrategias o evidencia de buenas prácticas establecidas como apoyo metodológico a la Seguridad del paciente. Su desarrollo metodológico se basa en el diseño del método, la estructura y el contenido para las listas de chequeo este último mediante la revisión concienzuda de las 22 Guías de Buenas Practicas De esta forma se diseñaron 21 Listas de chequeo para cada una de las Guías de Buenas Prácticas y una tercera lista de fichas técnicas de los indicadores recomendados pare le monitoreo de la seguridad del paciente

Etiquetado de información digital: análisis y valoración de su aplicación en los Trabajos de Fin de Máster del Repositorio GREDOS

Trabajo de Fin de Máster en Sistemas de Información Digital, 2016-2017.[ES]: La descripción de información ha sido una tarea llevaba a cabo por profesionales de la documentación mediante una indización controlada. Con los avances en las tecnológicas de la información, esta responsabilidad caerá también sobre autores y usuarios de la Web, con la asignación de etiquetas en un lenguaje natural. Este proceso de indización libre es conocido como etiquetado o “tagging” y se presenta como la alternativa para la descripción de información digital. El objetivo fundamental de este trabajo es analizar el procedimiento de asignación de etiquetas/palabras clave por parte de los autores en la descripción de TFMs ubicados en el repositorio institucional GREDOS, y reflexionar sobre si el etiquetado en lenguaje natural podría sustituir a los lenguajes documentales tradicionales. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que las palabras clave/etiquetas asignadas en lenguaje natural, aun presentan carencias que deben resolverse, ya que por el momento no alcanzan el nivel de descripción que proporcionan los vocabularios controlados, aunque estos también cuentan con sus respectivas limitaciones. Por lo tanto, actualmente la indización llevaba a cabo por profesionales a partir de vocabularios controlados no debe ser reemplazada por la indización realizada por autores en lenguaje natural. [EN]: The description of information has been a work done by librarians through controlled indexing. With advances in information technology this responsibility is also performed by authors and web users, with the allocation of tags in a natural language. This free indexing process in known as tagging and it is a possible alternative to the description of digital information. The main objective of this research is to analyze the allocation procedure of tags/keywords by the authors in theirs TFMs located at institutional repository GREDOS, in order to reflect on whether tagging in natural language could replace traditional documentary language. Results show that the keywords/tags assigned in natural language still have problems that must be resolved, because for now they don`t get the level of description provided by controlled vocabularies. Researching the crisis

La crisis es un problema que afecta y preocupa a todas las personas, también al alumnado. Este problema puede ser trabajado y aprendido de forma significativa con una metodología de investigación escolar, que tiene en cuenta la aportación de los contenidos disciplinares, la significación para el alumnado y la relevancia del problema social. Desde estas bases, se muestra el diseño y la puesta en práctica de una unidad didáctica sobre la crisis, siguiendo un modelo de investigación escolar. Los contenidos trabajados en esta unidad permiten la integración de las distintas áreas curriculares y favorecen el logro de las competencias básicas.The crisis is a problem that affects and concerns all people, including the students. Selective miRNA inhibition in CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes enhances HIV-1 specific cytotoxic responses

miRNAs dictate relevant virus-host interactions, offering new avenues for interventions to achieve an HIV remission. We aimed to enhance HIV-specific cytotoxic responses—a hallmark of natural HIV control— by miRNA modulation in T cells. We recruited 12 participants six elite controllers and six patients with chronic HIV infection on long-term antiretroviral therapy ("progressors"). Elite controllers exhibited stronger HIV-specific cytotoxic responses than the progressors, and their CD8+T cells showed a miRNA (hsa-miR-10a-5p) significantly downregulated. When we transfected ex vivo CD8(+) T cells from progressors with a synthetic miR-10a-5p inhibitor, miR-10a-5p levels decreased in 4 out of 6 progressors, correlating with an increase in HIV-specific cytotoxic responses. The effects of miR-10a-5p inhibition on HIV-specific CTL responses were modest, short-lived, and occurred before day seven after modulation. IL-4 and TNF-α levels strongly correlated with HIV-specific cytotoxic capacity. Thus, inhibition of miR-10a-5p enhanced HIV-specific CD8(+) T cell capacity in progressors. Our pilot study proves the concept that miRNA modulation is a feasible strategy to combat HIV persistence by enhancing specific cytotoxic immune responses, which will inform new approaches for achieving an antiretroviral therapy-free HIV remission

Intención de emprendimiento y liderazgo en Colombia

La relación entre el liderazgo y emprendimiento es un tema de estudio y análisis relativamente nuevo. El término de liderazgo ha sido estudiado y enfocado a otras áreas de estudio, pero en cuanto a la relación existente con emprendimiento se presentan aún carencias conceptuales. A lo largo del presente estudio, se hace una revisión de la literatura la cual permite identificar y analizar estos conceptos y su relación en la última década en Colombia, consultando literatura comprendida en bases de datos en línea tales como, Redalyc, Scielo y Dialnet. En este documento, se destacan los atributos de un emprendedor y de un líder, igualmente se recogen los modelos de emprendimiento, las teorías de liderazgo, y los elementos que caracterizan cada concepto. Finalmente, se evidencia una dicotomía entre el líder y el emprendedor y se concluye que el liderazgo es una característica intrínseca del emprendimiento; sin embargo, el liderazgo no es por regla utilizado para emprender.The relationship between leadership and entrepreneurship is a recent topic of study. The term leadership has been studied and focused to other study areas, however there are still conceptual shortcomings regarding to the relation with entrepreneurship. Throughout this study, it is made a literature revision by identifying and analyzing these concepts and their relation during the last decade in Colombia. For this, it has been consulted the literature in online data bases such as Redalyc, Scielo y Dialnet. Along this document, the entrepreneur and leader attributes are outlined, as well as are collected the models of entrepreneurship, leadership theories and the elements that characterized each concept. Finally, the dichotomy between the entrepreneur and the leader is evident, considering that the leadership is an entrepreneur´s characteristic, nevertheless the leadership is not always used to set up new business.Universidad del Rosari

Implant platform switching concept: an updated review

Purpose: To review published articles dealing with platform switched implants in order to assess survival rates and clarify their influence both on marginal bone loss around the cervical region of the implant and on soft tissue aesthetics.Material and Methods: PubMed and GallileUM databases were used to identify any studies or clinical cases involving implant platform switching published between January 2000 and August 2008. Studies both of human beings and animals were reviewed whenever they included the relevant implant diameter, length, surface and connection data.Results: Twelve studies of platform switching in humans (75%) and in animal models (25%) were evaluated.Mean implant length was found to be 11.66 ± 0.2 SD mm and mean diameter was 4.9± 0.52 SD mm.Conclusion: It was shown that platform switching helps to prevent crestal bone loss after implant placement and helps obtain satisfactory aesthetic result

Active cardboard box with smart internal lining based on encapsulated essential oils for enhancing the shelf life of fresh mandarins

Mandarins are usually sold in bulk and refrigerated in open cardboard boxes with a relatively short shelf-life (12–15 days) due to physiological and pathological disorders (rot, dehydration, internal breakdown, etc.). The influence of a controlled release of essential oils (EOs) from an active packaging (including β-cyclodextrin-EOs inclusion complex) was studied on the mandarin quality stability, comparing different sized cardboard trays and boxes, either non-active or active, at the pilot plant scale (experiment 1; commercialization simulation at room temperature after a previous simulation of short transportation/storage of 5 days at 8 °C). Then, the selected package was further validated at the industrial scale (experiment 2; cold storage at 8 °C up to 21 days). Among package types, the active large box (≈10 kg fruit per box) better maintained the mandarin quality, extending the shelf life from two weeks (non-active large box) to three weeks at room temperature. Particularly, the active large box highly controlled microbial growth (up to two log units), reduced weight losses (by 1.6-fold), reduced acidity, and increased soluble solids (highly appreciated in sensory analyses), while it minimized colour and controlled firmness changes after three weeks. Such trends were also observed during the validation experiment, extending the shelf life (based on sensory quality) from 14 to at least 21 days. In conclusion, the mandarin’s shelf life with this active cardboard box format was extended more than one week at 8 °C.This research was funded through a European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement No 812001

Synthesis, properties, and some rhodium, iridium, and platinum complexes of a series of bulky m-terphenylphosphine ligands

A series of sterically demanding aryl phosphine ligands (L) bearing terphenyl substituents, PR2Ar′ (R = hydrocarbyl, Ar′ = 2,6-diarylphenyl radical) has been prepared and characterized. The stability of these ligands towards oxidation in the air has been tested, and theoretical and experimental studies aimed to provide information on their electronic and steric properties have been performed. Treatment of the metal dimers [MCl(COD)]2(M = Rh, Ir; COD = 1,5-cyclooctadiene) with ligands PMe2ArXyl2(L1) and PMe2ArDipp2(L5), in a 1:1 metal:ligand ratio, afforded the expected square-planar 16-electron complexes [MCl(COD)(PMe2ArXyl2)] and [MCl(COD)(PMe2ArDipp2)], respectively. These compounds were readily converted into the corresponding dicarbonyl derivatives, [MCl(CO)2(PMe2ArXyl2)] and [MCl(CO)2(PMe2ArDipp2)], respectively. While the expected κ1-P coordination mode of the PR2Ar′ ligands is found for these rhodium and iridium species, the mononuclear Pt(II) derivative obtained by reaction of PtCl2with PMe2ArDipp2has composition [PtCl2(PMe2ArDipp2)], and exhibits a bidentate κ1-P, η1-arene coordination mode involving one of the ipso carbon atoms of a flanking terphenyl aryl ring.
