This study addresses two plays, both entitled Tango, one by Manuel Molins i Casaña, and the other by Slawomir Mrözek, that is, two interpretations of the tango from outside the cultural environment in which it was invented.2 I shall analyse the extent to which the use of the tango as a musical form and point of reference (be it as a song or a dance) can be perceived as an exotic and external factor (a presence of the familiar other) in the form of hybrid texts including lyrics, for instance, and how in other cases it is unquestionably accepted as an integral part of European culture

Prevalence of Foot Injuries in Rugby Players

[Abstract] The main objective of this study was to determine the incidence and type of lesions affecting the ankle-foot complex in rugby players. In order to do this, we analysed the risk factors related to foot and ankle injuries, as well as to describe the morphological and functional aspects of the foot in rugby players with years of experience. Methodology The study was carried out in a cross-sectional observational type of prevalence. It was carried out between April and May, during which matches and trainings were used, making a selection of the sample for convenience. Data were collected on player including, type of player, injuries and alterations in the ankle-foot complex, as well as foot morphology using FPI6. Results For this study it was obtained that there is a relationship between lesions and sex, the time played, the hours of BMI training. No significant results were found for the relationship of the lesions to the playing position or to the FPI6. Conclusion In conclusion, the risk factors of injury are the time that the player has been practicing the sport, hours of training, high BMI and sex. Finding a relationship between the BMI and the game position. It was not possible to relate the position of play with the injuries suffered, nor these with the FPI6.[Resumo] O principal obxectivo deste estudo foi determinar a incidencia e o tipo de lesións que afectan o complexo nocello-pé en xogadores de rugby. Analizar que factores de risco se relacionan con lesións no pé e o nocello, así como describir aspectos morfolóxicos e funcionais do pé en xogadores de rugby con anos de experiencia. Metodoloxía O estudo realizado e de tipo observacional transversal de predominio, realizouse entre os meses de abril e maio de 2017, nos que se acudiu a partidos e adestramentos, facendo unha selección da mostra por conveniencia. Recolléronse datos sobre o xogador que incluían, o tipo de xogador, as lesións e alteracións no complexo nocello-pé, así como a morfoloxía do pe mediante o FPI6. Resultados Para este estudo obtívose que existe unha relación entre as lesións e o sexo, o tempo xogado, as horas de adestramento e o IMC. Non se atoparon resultados significativos para a relación das lesións coa posición de xogo, nin co FPI6. Conclusión Pódese concluír que son factores de risco de lesión o tempo que se leva no deporte, as horas de adestramento o IMC elevado e o sexo. Atopándose unha relación entre o IMC e a posición de xogo. Non se puido relacionar a posición de xogo coas lesións padecidas, nin estas co valor do FPI6.Traballo fin de grao (UDC.FEP). Podoloxía. Cet article propose un panorama de la diffusion de l’oeuvre de Joan Maragall dans les Iles Britanniques et aux Etats Unis. On évoque un grand nombre de publications de ses poèmes et d’autres écrits en catalan et en anglais ainsi que des ouvrages de critique littéraire depuis le début du XXe jusqu’au début du XXIe siècle, et on aborde plus spécifiquement la critique des professeurs Arthur Terry et Geoffrey Ribbans ainsi que les techniques du «New Criticism»

Narcís Comadira (Girona 1942 – ) started his studies in the monastery of Montserrat in the sixties but abandoned his religious career and became one of the youngest Catalans to join the then newly born Assemblea de Catalunya the activities of which extended over the period 1971-1977, escaping the claustrophobia of Franco’s Spain by going abroad as a Spanish Lector at Queen Mary’s College in London between 1971 and 1973, and thus discovering new ways of thinking and living. Autoanàlisis reflexiu dels estils de comunicació interpersonal en l’àmbit assistencial

Aquest document és un recull de situacions viscudes en l’àmbit clínic-assistencial, narrades en molts casos en primera persona, que fan referencia a algun dels principals estils de comunicació interpersonal: assertiu, passiu i/o agressiu. El material que es presenta està subjecte a diferents tipus d’anàlisis. Es pot donar el cas de que algunes situacions exposades puguin ser interpretades en un sentit diferent al objectiu inicial del autor. En qualsevol cas, el valor central és disposar de exemples aplicats per generar debat i anàlisis de estils de comunicació / relació interpersonal. Explicar situacions personals no es fàcil. Cal entendre aquest treball com una aportació “generosa” dels autors. Per tant, tots aquells que utilitzin algun material d’aquesta publicació han de partir de la base de que és un exercici docent per utilitzar en el context i amb finalitat formativa. Les situacions han estat laborades pels estudiants de primer curs del Màster de Lideratge i Gestió d’ Infermeria de l’any acadèmic en curs. Cada situació configura un capítol i està estructurada en els següents apartats: estil de comunicació, descrpció de la situació, resolució de la situació i elements que identifiquen l’estil de comunicació (verbals i no verbals)

Por esta razón, investigaciones sobre las condiciones que contribuyen para una buen calidad de vida en la vejez revistense de gran importancia científica y social. En esta perspectiva, el estudio objetiva identificar los significados de calidad de vida relacionados con las actividades desarrolladas por la Universidad de la Experiencia, de la Universidad de Barcelona, en la perspectiva de sus participantes de mayor edad. Este es un estudio descriptivo y exploratorio, con enfoque teórico-metodológico cualitativo, realizado con 22 personas mayores inscritos en la Universidad de la Experiencia de la UB, en el curso acadêmico 2014-2015..

La cel•la abans del monestir: Sant Pere de Rodes als segles VIII i IX

A la fi de la romanitat i durant el període visigot, la cristianització s’estengué cap als àmbits rurals i va portar aparellada una primera organització eclesiàstica en el marc de les diòcesis. Aquesta tasca va deixar sobre el territori una xarxa d’esglésies i cenobis, que la invasió sarraïna es va ocupar de destruir i que no es va poder recuperar, tot i que parcialment, fins a la reorganització i la repoblació de territori impulsada pels monarques carolingis, cap a la fi del segle VIII. No tenim dades fefaents de l’existència d’aquesta xarxa en el territori de l’antiga diòcesi d’Empúries. Alguns escassos documents aporten referències indirectes que la donarien per existent, però la manca d’intervencions arqueològiques no permet corroborar-ho. Sant Pere de Rodes n’és l’excepció: les campanyes portades a terme entre els anys 1989 i 1995 posaren al descobert les restes de l’antiga cel•la de Sancti Petri.Christianisation extended to the rural areas at the end of the Roman era and during the Visigoth period and introduced a primary ecclesiastic organisation based on dioceses. The resulting network of churches and monasteries in the territory was destroyed during the Saracen invasion and could not be recovered, or only partially, until the reorganisation and resettlement initiated by the Carolingian monarchs towards the end of the eight century. There are no reliable sources on the existence of such network in the territory of the ancient diocese of Empúries. Indirect references in a few documents indicate its existence but the lack of archaeological interventions does not allow to confirm it. Intimacy, Extimacy and Subjectivation in Living l’Havana, by Ferran Torrent

Living l’Havana (1999) is one of Ferran Torrent’s lesser-known works. In terms of its genre, the length of the narrative makes it into a short novel or a very long short story; its style is descriptive and conversational, and its location is mainly limited to the seats of an intercontinental flight from Valencia to Havana, with a short final section in the city of Havana itself. For these reasons, the book has been variously labelled as “un libro inusual en su trayectoria” (Obiols, 1999) and “un ensayo” (Casa del Libro,,1999b). It has also been classified as an example of travel literature and, whithin that category, as “un manual habanero para 'el turista que lleva dólares'” (Obiols, 1999). Its use of frank and colourful language and its exposure of intimate feelings and details with no apparent filters links it to the anti-literary, anti-normative and anti-rhetorical style of Guillermo Cabrera Infante’s 1967 ground-breaking novel Tres tristes tigres (1964) — a work about three men who spend the night exploring what Havana has to offer
